Fix Stragglers is a mod that helps your party members and summons keep up with you when you jump ahead and they don't seem to be able to follow you, despite technically being able to in most cases.
It does this in two main ways, after you jump with a character:
- Jump boosting: briefly boosts the jump distance of your party members, making it more likely for them to find a path and keep up.
- Teleporting: if party members are still too behind for some seconds after jumping (configurable time and distance thresholds), automatically teleports them to you. 1.1.0 also teleports linked characters that are simply too far away.

Jump boosting showcase. You can toggle it off to use only teleporting, or vice versa.
BG3's pathfinding has issues making companions follow you after some jumps, so this mod circumvents that problem by analyzing a few conditions when you're jumping. You can add/remove checks like character STR, whether you might've taken fall damage after jumping, whether to teleport all or only linked characters, etc. By default, it will use both methods, will teleport only linked characters, and only if you probably didn't take fall damage. It won't have any effect during combat. 1.1.0+ will also teleport linked/grouped companions that are too simply far behind by default.
You can also teleport them manually with the Shift+T keybinding (you can change it within MCM), or with one of the two buttons present in the mod's MCM tab.
Installation
- Download the .zip file and install using BG3MM, or use Vortex.
- Volition Cabinet
- Mod Configuration Menu
BG3 Script Extender (you can easily install it with BG3MM through its Tools tab or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+T while its window is focused)
Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything. Multiplayer theoretically works better than 'Teleport Party to You' due to the checks it performs: different players and their controlled companions don't get teleported by default if one of the player causes their companions to teleport (this can be toggled on with MCM).
Special thanks
Thanks to Aetherpoint for some help with stats files, which made the solution a bit more elegant, to Aahz for a net message function, and to the scripting community in general for trying to make sense of fall damage and failing with me! We tried our best, ok?
Also thanks Adrien Coquet for the icon 'jump' from Noun Project (CC BY 3.0).
