NOT QUITE VANILLA NPC OVERHAUL - ARGONIANS
NQV is a project I have created to re-face every NPC in Skyrim. This mod is the first bit of that, replacing nearly every Argonian NPC from SSE. Some are not included, namely NPCs that do not actually appear in game. This was made possible by the beautiful modding community, and I hope that this will satisfy someone's desire for a balance between the vanilla aesthetic and a game fit for 2021. Uses your installed body and textures, so it is compatible with any body/texture, although I did include an optional file for vanilla bodies of the skin shown in the screenshots.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High Poly Head by KouLeifoh - When installing, make sure to check the High Poly Vanilla Hair option, as my mod utilizes its improved Argonian horn model.
- Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch by Arthmoor & The USSEP Team - My mod forwards USSEP changes, and anything I make will utilize this resource as I believe it is the foundation of a well-modded game!
RECOMMENDED MODS:
- Kala's Beast Race Eyes by Kala - The Default replacement textures to maintain consistency with the custom eyes added in my mod.
- Any of Southpawe's NPC Overhauls - These are the closest to the aesthetic I want to make, and even though I plan to do every NPC because I'm super picky, if you don't want mine for humans/mer or don't want to wait, this is a great overhaul!

The only thing of mine in this mod is time and effort. Almost all the resources I used were other modders' incredible work. I highly recommend everything below!

- BeastHHBB by Mharlek - Used a couple of these new hairstyles.
- Beast Race Bodypaints, Vanilla Makeup HD & Vanilla Warpaints Absolution by DomainWolf - The best tintmasks on Nexus, in my opinion! Used when creating FaceGen.
- RaceMenu by expired - Faces were created using this tool!
- Skyrim Special Edition Upscaled Textures by Kartoffels - The optional skin texture download is a de-saturated copy of the Argonian bodies from this mod.
- High Poly Head by KouLeifoh - Everything I could want from a high poly head model, a must-download!!
- USSEP by Arthmoor & Team - As I said above, the foundation for any great mod list.
