IMPORTANT
For the respect of Karpfenfrosch's amount of work, the Next Gen 4.04 version REQUIRE the original mod!
If the author update the mod, I will gladly put down the mod.

What's the purpose?

This mod make the archipelago ocean dangerous to swim, for immersive and realism.
The ocean will drain Stamina first, and then it will drain Vitality. Indicating by a Frenzy HUD.

To counter it, because it was made as challenge when hunting those underwater loot. The author made an original potion "Skua".
This potion give invisibility to the icy ocean, but also more Frost Resistance. So it's useful in combat as well.
The recipes can be found in various containers or shops.

Main File:
Require either "1 percent" or "2 percent" of the original mod.
You have choice!

Optional File: Included the "Killer Whale" version.
Require "No Skua" of the original mod.

Installation
For newcomer/beginner: I invite you reading The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding

0 DON'T USE VORTEX!!
1. Install the DLC folder of the original mod [IMPORTANT]
2. Install manually the mod by extracting in your game's directory Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition\Mods folder (if doesn't exist, create one).
3. Use Script Merger to merge all scripts.

How to uninstall?
Delete both "dlc_icy_ocean" from DLC folder and "modIcyOcean" from Mods folder


Compatibility and Conflict

This is a scripts mod that only contains the following files:
- scripts\game\player\r4Player.ws
- scripts\game\player\states\swimming.ws
- scripts\game\gameplay\effects\gameEffectManager.ws
- scripts\game\gameplay\effects\effectTypes.ws

This is only a portion of the original mod, and require the original mod installed.


Recommended Mod
Below are the list of mod I recommend with mine:
- Ice Breath: Most Recommended. Add the ice breath FX in cold place for immersion.
- Skellige Winter Weather System: Most Recommended. Change the Skelliger weathers into more snowy climat.
- Weather Commentary: If you are using lighting/weather mods, this mod improve the comments behaviour.
- E3 2013 Skellige Boats: Restore the missing boats at Kaer Trolde.
- Faster Boat: Self explains, for those sea hunter loots.
