I finally learn how to mod with just a basic tips and tools. Using WolvenKit it's way more pleasant. It comes to me at first to change all swords to look like Wolf Witcher Swords. When I finally did, I was saying "Hey wait?! I CREATE A MOD!!". Can't believe me, I can't write C++ but I'm capable to edit XML.
mrjaypee has granted me the permission to upload this mod for you. Swap Witcher Armour Appearances is great mod for me that I wanting to change almost all I want. I thanks him for accepting my request for a "Kaer Morhen"' appearance. And so, I was able to change all the Witcher School Swords, even Manticore and Viper. And a bonus content for Olgierd sabre.
About Viper Swords, I want to clarify. I decided to change its appearance to looks like Venomous, because the vanilla appearance is actually... Cat sword.
If you want another swords appearance to swap, you may request it. But remember, I will only swap to Witcher School Swords, not all.
conflict with The Essential Weapon Rework, i use GM bear swords change to wolf swords and lost my stat bonus from TEWR mod, i give this mod priority higher than TEWR
hi lewis, thanks for this mod, there is conflict with brother in arm and i'm not sure which line should i pick, and what do you mean "merge to one mod only for each bundle text".
Sorry. I no longer maintained classic mod. But if one day you decide to play on Next Gen version, you can already have Killing Monster appearance from the next gen mod.
Thanks for the response :) I can't, some of my mods are not in the next gen. What's more, I can't see any difference between the classic and the next gen. Don't the next gen mods work in classic ?
Hello, many thanks for sharing this mod, works like a charm, i have a just a tiny issue, Is there any chance for a compatibility patch for E3 Sword of Destiny Trailer Swords using both mods works fine but the grandmaster scabbards stay vanilla, i´m on 1.32 and using ghost mode, i merged your mod with GM without issues but there´s the grandmaster scabbards issue, and if i merge the 3 mods together in bundle text for the conflict of def_item_crafting_weapons.xml, doesn´t help either, any suggestions? Thanks
Almost "Visual replacement of Wolven Swords" mod doesn't use the grandmaster scabbard, but instead the regular scabbard.
So I suggest to change the setting in Script Merger into "show me Kdiff, even if it's auto solved". then remerge again all mods for the bundle text: - dlc\bob\data\gameplay\items\def_item_crafting_weapon.xm - dlc\bob\data\gameplay\items_plus\def_item_crafting_weapon.xml Look for the wolf scabbard and put the "non-vanilla" scabbard change by the E3 Sword of Destiny.
edit: i applied the changes from the E3 Sword of destiny mod to the scabbard lines of 'steel wolf sword 4' and 'silver wolf sword 4' The vanilla line for the scabbards ends with 'ep2' and the non-vanilla end with '01' but no luck, i´m probably doing something wrong but i´m lost, sorry for the bother i´m new to this
F me, i did it! you´re a goddamn genius, i only needed to change the 'bob' xmls since the conflict was only in those in case anyone finds this helpful, many thanks for the help!

Hey! I've been using this and your crossbow mod since they came out and I love them! In fact I'm still using this mod right now. It works pretty well with the Next-Gen patch! I just wanted to bring one thing up though. If you ever do update this mod, you might want to look into the starting swords? Pre-Next-Gen update the silver sword had a brown scabbard to it. Now it has a black one after the update. I think I know why too. The starting silver sword still uses the brown scabbard, but the "Disglair" silver sword(Starting sword model) uses the new black scabbard. I'm not sure if this is fixable, but if it is then could you please fix it when you have the time? I prefer the brown scabbard over the black one. I just think aesthetically it looks better! Thanks again for making these awesome mods! They really do enhance my playthrough. :)

About "this mod works".. that just that... it "works" but in truth, it not Next Gen compatible. Because it revert to the old 1.32 without the new feature from 4.0.
Fortunately, the WIP Changelog progress and we already made XML??? changelog 1.32 vs 4.0. So I can soon update my two Swap appearance, even add swap appearance to the new set like the Netflix one.
Sorry, no. This mod is a complement to Swap Witcher Armour Appearances. It only affect Witcher gear equipment and nothing else. Unless mrjaypee and me decide to include the Starting Gear.

I know that it affects Witcher gear equipment and nothing else. My question wasn't reffering to that. Swap Witcher Armour Appearances already includes the starting gear as an option (Kaer Morhen armor). I was hoping this mod could do the same to make the Witcher swords look like the starting swords, but if it's not possible then I guess I can understand.
Hey buddy, is there any chance, you could make this swap only for swords without scabbards please? I’m using black scabbards mod and it has plenty of conflicts when merging and even tho I use all the lines from black scabbards mod, my silver sword scabbard changes, only steel one remains black.

If the black scabbards use one of the witcher scabbard. You simply need to select all the code of Swap Appearance and you will still have the black scabbard. Like Scabbard Clipping Fix, it completly compatible once you select all Swap Appearance for merge conflict.

[EDIT]: If you were talking about the 2017 or the 2020 'Black/Dark Scabbards". I'm sorry but they stupidly change the XML for a simple Retexture scabbard. Still once I return to my holiday, I will do something.
Yes, that mod is called Black Scabbards. I know, it´s not a great mod, I just wanted my scabbards to be black and this mod is the only one here, which provides that option. Thank you for respond and effort. Enjoy your holiday btw.
It's only a few modification of XML. You can merge with Ghost Mode without issue. Once done, no priority order is necessary (if you have put one folder that is).
If you don't have conflict in Script Merger, that's mean you didn't install properly.
Make sure you choose one folder that begin "modSwap[...]" and drop inside "mod" folder, next to Ghost Mode folder. If you only set the priority, you will lose GM modification and breaks is purpose. Swap Appearance is friendly mergeable with any overhaul mod.

You have to forgot what you learn from Skyrim if you wish to mod The Witcher 3.
