Install with Vortex or manually: 1. Download main file (9,3GB or if you have trouble downloading such a large file at once, download separately all four parts) and extract the content in your Witcher 3 main folder (for example C:\Games\Witcher 3), replace all folders/files. 2. Go to graphic settings, find the texture quality slider and move to the max right (it's Halk Ultra HD or in some cases it may be ##preset_value_Halk Ultra HD) 3. Enjoy a new visual experience with The Witcher 3! :)
NOTE! * If your game is not loading or there are long loadings in dialogues - install Mod Limit Fix (Adjuster) * Halk Ultra HD option in textures settings it's just additional tweak, it's not mod off/on switcher, after installation modification works on all ingame settings (ultra, high, medium, low) not only on Halk Ultra HD. Please remember this before asking for help that the modification is not working. * Halk Ultra HD config is highly recommended to achieve best quality and game look. Thanks to this configuration general quality of textures will be better (better sharpness, no flickering/shimmering, better smoothness) and game will can render 4K textures (instead of 2K). Also in some cases game can work smoother and faster by increased textures budget. * If you have ##preset_value_Halk Ultra HD or blank area instead of Halk Ultra HD in graphic settings - install Custom Localization Fix (It's not an important matter, but if it bothers you, it's easy to fix it).
It mainly depends on your video card, but generally modification doesn't hit performance too much. Modification requires minimum a 3GB VRAM for smooth gameplay in 1080p. For best results 4GB or more is recommended. Possible decrease in fps are 0-5 which depend on pc spec, game settings and ingame location. On GTX 970/AMD R9 290X and higher there should be no fps drop. Also in some cases, modification can give smoother gameplay and fps boost.
Modification is compatible with all lighting mods (PLM, STLM, WLM and other).
Uninstallation: Delete all modHDReworkedProject catalogs from mods folder and optionally restore original config from Config backup in your Witcher 3 main folder.
