This increases details to a majority of the textures in the game, while keeping the original feel.

Install:
1. Download "Main Files"
2. Extract .vpp files into your folder which has summoner.exe in it (for Steam, should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Summoner). Overwrite or backup your old .vpp files.
3. Go to https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371, download the 4gb patch, extract it anywhere, and run it. Point it to your Sum.exe, then hit ok.

Optional 2048x2048 world map:
The .vpp files have a 2gb size limit, so these upgraded .tga textures needed to be separate. The .tga texture files will automatically load over the .vpp files.
Install:
1. Drop included .tga files into your folder which has summoner.exe in it (for Steam, should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Summoner).

Friendly reminder to DISABLE Vertex Lighting when you get to the in-game options. Vertex Lighting is an optimization for older cards which actually makes the game look uglier.

If you want higher resolutions, Reshade, UI scaling, VR compatibility, Nvidia SGSSAA, or above 60 fps, then here is my guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2459473339

Change log:
6-28-20 - v1 - troubleshooting and finding engine limits
8-15-20 - v1.1 - manual editing of some textures after a game playthrough
3-29-21 -  V2 - uses new gigapixel algorithms, 3000 textures individually tweaked, slight to significant improvement per texture
4-3-21 - V2.1 - touched up some ground textures, put pixel offset on world map to fix seam issues
4-11-21 - V2.2 - world map tweaks
5-16-21 - V2.3 - more compatible with other languages

Some texture details:

-Topaz Gigapixel AI, Topaz Video Enhance AI, and Adobe Photoshop
-Decent Manager Tools was used to export/import .tga files from .vpp archive.
-Pixillion Image Converter was used to convert .tga to .tiff for Gigapixel.
-effect textures untouched because of Gigapixel corrupting them
-1st pass varies between Standard, Architectural, and Compressed, depending what works best
-2ed pass is Compressed with Remove Blur at 100
-textures range from 3x, 4x, or 6x depending on what quality changes you could notice (and help prevent crashes)

levelt.vpp
-Iona bone and a couple of wood textures upped to 2048x2048 (original 256x256, upscale 6x, upscale 2x [effective 12x], downscale to 2048x2048 which seems to be the max of the summoner engine)
-the world map is made up of 50 individual texture tiles, they were combined together into one large image (to fix seam issues, also one of the tiles from the original game was off center by a few pixels so you would just see a solid line of water in the middle of landmass, I fixed that), upscaled, split apart, and pixel offset applied (fix more seam issues)
-photoshopped sand, Masad stone wall, some sky textures, and others I may of forgotten

cutscene.vpp
-paintings are 3x

chars.vpp
-playable characters torso, hands, feet, legs, and head upscaled to a max of 256x256 due to items disappearing
-playable characters cloaks upscaled at 128x128 due to items disappearing
-npcs are upscaled to 3x

items.vpp are 3x

summoner.vpp (ui)
-summoner.vpp was upscaled to 2x, then downscaled back to 1x to fix some aliasing and increase some details (adjusting textures sizes of the ui would mess with ui placement in game, left scaling at 1x)
-gigapixel would corrupt the level up icon, left it alone
