KEEP AN EYE ON MY CHANGELOGS

The included BAT file is what makes this work as advertised. Technically you don’t need it but that is frowned upon. All Starfield Custom INI changes are not required and purely optional but recommended.

Grind UI (optional)
Edited the Vanilla UI to remove Hit markers, hit detection markers, Red on crosshairs when rollover enemy, enemies on the compass (minimap) Enemy Name and Health Bars, and the XP gain bar that pops up in the middle of the screen every time you get a kill. Removes red tint around watch when enemies are around. 2.0 update: Added Local and universal time to the watch. Added your encumbrance meter to the watch. (Amount you are currently carrying/Amount you can carry overall) Works with all StarUI Components EXCEPT StarUIHud.

**NO SCANNER LINES OPTIONAL FILE SEE PICTURE. Removes ugly circle when in your scanner.

**Updated Starfield custom and prefs. Highly recommended found a lot of amazing settings and coordinated with several other mod authors.

What This Do

Changes the difficulty very hard to a more survival difficulty. With that being said You HAVE to change the difficulty to Very Hard to get the full effect of this mod.
Continuation of my previous mods and is still considered a WIP. (Enter/Into the Grindfield)

Level Scaling
All creatures, robots, turrets, and human encounter npcs will scale to the player level. Does NOT scale any NAMED character human NPC. NO companions quest givers etc. Scales at a 1 to 1 player level ratio.

Size Scaling
All creatures, robots, turrets, and human encounter npcs will now vary in size. Creatures have the largest variation in sizes from .5 to 3x depending on the creature. Robots and Turrets from .5 to 1.5. And human encounter npc from .91 to 1.09. Does NOT scale any NAMED character human NPC. NO companions quest givers etc.

*Increased speed and a view other values of specific NPCs and some edits to terrormorph leveled list to allow all types to spawn bug free. Shout out to JaeDL and the Royalty mods. Changes based off of https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/8007.

Locational Damage
In vanilla there was no locational damage except for headshots on humans at 2x damage. What this does is diversifies the health of limbs and damage dealt to limbs by creature type and individual limb type. It will make each different type of combatant feel different and a little more realistic. Headshots matter against pretty much all enemies.  See below for changes.

  • Increased protection of limbs from Armor  0.365 -> 0.5
  • Increased Damage Factor to Limbs from  .15 -> .25

Changes only apply if the creature has the limbs mentioned. (Some Robots have brains some dont. etc)

Install Instructions
As of now this requires plugins.txt enabler. You could also use any ASI loader for the plugins.txt injection I just recommend sfse. You should not use the testfile way but do at your own risk. these will be removed once mods are officially supported and in time will have no requirements.

Follow plugins.txt install instructions and then add *exactfilenameincludingspacesandcapitalletters.esm to your plugin.txt
Added optional but recommended changes for your starfield custom and prefs. Found in the folder optional ini now in your data folder where the plugin is installed.

Make sure the loose txt files are in your root folder where the starfield.exe is. Add the following line to your starfield custom.
[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat GrindTerraloader

If you already have bat files you can just add these lines onto the ones your running or add to your list.
This still has a bat file and inserts commands through the console as I am unable to make all changes I intended through other mod tool means. Please do not change how I set this up as it runs through a couple times to make sure all changes do happen.

If you notice in the console some bats fail to load, I use the same loader for this mod and my proc gen mod so if you use both you don’t have to change your bat injection. Works as intended, if you don’t have the other mod installed there are no issues just states it can’t find the other mods bats.

Ini changes found in your data folder new folder called new custom inis
inverted pitch for space flight (this is my personal pref but just switch to 1 if you don't want it)
Essentials take no damage
stealth meter hidden
Auto save on quit off   EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A PROMPT IT WON'T SAVE ON EXIT feature not bug.
auto save on wait off
auto save on travel off
removed crosshairs
auto save general is set to sixty
auto save while sleep is on
turns off floating quest marker
Other performance changes

Compatibility
There can’t be any real compatibility issues as this just overrides vanilla and adds unique content. Other mods that make the same changes whichever mod is lower in your list is the value that would be used. Mods that add the same content you will just have both and clutter whatever you added for example craftable ammo you would have two different but probably same names.

If you want to use any other leveled list mods (like for example any Royalty Mods) whichever you load last is which of the conflicting lines are used. (Like the level scaling ratio.) but they are still fully compatible.

The only compatibility issues are with the optional but recommended UI*
*Compatible with all starui components except starhud. I use all his other modules except the configure one. Only bug found is when removing space suit it will make body disappear temporarily. Just change to a different menu and back and it will fix itself.. unsure if this is starui or mine but I didn’t touch any menu interfaces so it should be a vanilla starui bug.
Any mod changing the files provided are incompatible with the UI.

Warning: Once installed and loaded you cannot revert the bat file changes after a save. Un installation will not revert bat file changes. Please always make a save before adding to your current play through.

Uninstall: Just delete all files provided and remove from plugin.txt
