I love this mod and was excited to see that it worked in 1.6!...with one exception, as it turns out. If you have this installed, you can't interact with the bookseller at all - you'll walk right through them. (Just leaving this comment in case anyone else had this problem.)
It was an excellent mod though - it really helped from getting stuck on those narrow paths near the river!
Hello! I'm the current maintainer of Ridgeside Village. In our most recent update, we introduced custom festival maps to expand the areas for the festivals. Some users have been reporting issues when both RSV and Convenient Town are installed, as both mods try to replace the festival maps, and then neither patch is applied. I won't ask you to make whole new maps just to fit our layout, but would it be possible to have the festival map replacements as a config option? We have that config setting in ours, and if they're in both mods, then the user can choose which map they'd like to use. Please let me know what you think, and thank you for your time!
Hii Is it possible for the town to only have dusty changes? I use other mods for the town but use yours for the surrounding area, only dusty is still sad and I dont want to wait for the trash bear x
if you're using it with an existing save that was created before the mod was installed, you need to use the reset terrain features mod to reset the placement of bushes
Hi there, there's a bush covering the billboard in front of Lewis' house that won't go away. I've tried the 'world_reset bushes' command from Entoarox Framework multiple times but it hasn't fixed the issue. I had to use that command before to reset the bushes to the right of the community center so that I could access the stairs there, so that might have something to do with it. I've also posted this to the Entoarox Framework page in case it's an issue on their end. https://smapi.io/log/3b73e8407fa648d2a22a2b3d93f72755
edit: I started up SDV again today and the problem seems to have fixed itself
Unfortunately this causes an issue with the new quest/noticeboard thing introduced in 1.5, where you can see the exclamation point showing there's a task available, but you can't click on it because you can't see the board. I've disabled it for now, but I really hope that a solution can be found for it.
Thank you so much for all your awesome mods and hard work!
I really hope there's a solution too! I hate to remove this mod... Especially because I haven't found anything else that fixes up Dusty's doghouse, which surprises me. I tried to see if I could edit things myself, but no go. Much love to anyone who decides to update this. :wasted so many hours trying to click that invisible board: lollll
I hope it gets fixed too. I had to remove this mod in order to be able to interact with the new quest board. And now I miss the little paths on each side of the river towards the mountain. Especially the one above the Jojamart. I had planted a bunch of trees and now I can't access them at all.
Perhaps you could access those trees with the Jump Over mod? It works on most left-right cliff sides. [edit: jump over doesn't seem to work there without the map mod either, you can get up but not walk. also, re: myself talking about Dusty, I'm using Way Back Pelican Town now instead of Flower Valley and it's amazing, huge change from what I was used to, but awesome (changes the appearance, not a map mod like this was)]
