FEATURES:

ORIGINAL:

    • Aziraphale has hundreds of original lines of dialogue that change based on season, day of the week, heart level, and more!
    • Play as four gender-variable Farmer Crowley presets - or romance Aziraphale with your own custom character. You decide!
    • Live ineffably-ever-after when you date and marry a literal angel. You can even make an Effort and raise children together.
    • Aziraphale has his own unique gift tastes, disposition, and schedule. Even better: he’s made out of genuine husband material.
    • The clinic has a new tartan makeover.
    • No star-crossed apocalyptic mayhem to worry about! Framed as mortal AU.
Omens, Aziraphale’s events and cut scenes are sure to please anyone who appreciates fluff and happy endings.
    • More to love: Aziraphale has seasonal outfits AND an adorably embarrassing aerobics ensemble.
    • Good Omens easter eggs (spoiler free!) sprinkled throughout.

NEW FOR STARDEW OMENS 2.0:

    • i18n Compatibility - Making translations will now be even easier. PM me if you’re interested in translating this mod to another language.
    • Updated, organized, streamlined code. Has no impact upon the player but is aesthetically pleasing to look at.
    • Brand new dialogue, sprites and portraits for Ginger Island. Aziraphale can now take a well-deserved break at the resort.
    • Take Aziraphale to the movies! He now has his own dialogue and concession tastes.
    • Added conversation topics based on game states: Aziraphale will comment on changes made around the community based on Community Center/Joja progress and other events around the community.
    • Added Aziraphale’s 14h event.
    • Added unique dialogue for when your relationship is on the rocks - if you ever choose to break up or divorce Aziraphale (you monster), he now has some things to say to you. Additionally, he now has dialogue for after the infamous 10h event in the saloon if you chose to woo all available bachelors.
    • Added unique jealousy dialogue.
    • Added unique summit dialogue for when you achieve Perfection.
    • Even more Good Omens easter eggs.
    • A Fashion Sense content pack containing various shirts (Nanny top, Modern shirt, Golgotha top), pants (Nanny Skirt, Golgotha Skirt, Modern Black Pants), hairs (Golgotha, Nanny, Modern Long, and Modern Short), and Crowley’s trademark sunglasses.
    • An Alternative Textures content pack containing textures from the Bentley Mod (thanks, LuckyLeafeon!!). Farmer Crowley can now have his beloved Bentley on the farm. Allows you to retexture your horse&stable, or, if you have the Tractor Mod, you can turn your tractor into the Bentley.

NOTES:

My recommendation is to woo Aziraphale for as long as inhumanely possible before actually marrying him. Ballpark: just flirt for 6,000 years or so. The slower you go the more dialogue options you’ll see, as there are different lines for every day of the week in each season, with six different heart levels to cycle through. Once you get married, all that variation stops triggering, so enjoy that slow burn, baby!

This mod completely replaces Harvey with Aziraphale. By default, however, Aziraphale will only appear when the farmer’s name is ’Crowley’, ‘Anthony’, ’Ashtoreth’, or ’Ash’, meaning your non-Crowley save files will still have Harvey in them. This can be disabled in the config file or using General Mod Config Menu in-game so that Aziraphale appears for all farmers.

This mod is not compatible with any mod that changes Harvey’s sprites, portraits, dialogue, or any other data. Disable (or modify) any mod that does so before installing this mod. There are other mods that mention Harvey by name which are not affected by this mod in any way. This might break immersion for you. Be warned!

I have included an empty spouse room and patio for Aziraphale, if you’d like to decorate his spaces to be more angelic. These are disabled by default but can be enabled in the config file or using General Mod Config Menu in-game.

REQUIRED MODS:

These mods required to add Farmer Crowley specific content packs into the game:

    • SMAPI - Stardew Modding API; loads mods into the game
    • Content Patcher - Patches content from the mod using SMAPI into the game
    • Fashion Sense - The mod includes a content pack with various shirts, pants, hairs, and Crowley’s trademark sunglasses, converted from the original mod’s assets and SDV game files.
    • Alternative Textures - This mod includes a content pack containing textures to replace Crowley's horse with a Bentley and the stable with a garage OR, if you have the Tractor Mod, you can replace the tractor and tractor garage instead.

RECOMMENDED MODS:

I have included compatibility patches for a few different mods that add brand new content or adjust vanilla content. These are optional but recommended:

Here is a list of mods I personally use for my Farmer Crowley playthrough. These aren’t required overall but are fun to have for an enhanced Farmer Crowley experience:

    • Farmer to Florist for PPJA and/or Mizu’s Flowers - Let Farmer Crowley scream at flowers until they shape up into a veritable Garden of Eden!
NOTE: Do NOT download the Dynamic Game Assets version of Farmer to Florist (or any of the DGA conversions of the PPJA Artisan Valley collection) -- the DGA version is incredibly buggy. Download the Json Assets versions instead!

    • [FS] SH’s Animal and Mythological Creature Stuff - Has some lovely angel demon wings and a snake tail for anyone inclined to make this a Stardew!Naga!AU.
    • Medieval Buildings or Eemie’s Medieval Modern Buildings - Uses Content Patcher to replace your farm buildings to be more in like with that charming English Countryside aesthetic. I actually recommend using the Alternative Textures versions found here and here, so you can mix and match to your preferences across saves without actually replacing base game content.
    • Elle's Animals for Alternative Textures - Provides a wonderful variety of animals to choose from, including cats and dogs. Find the perfect hellcat or hellhound!
    • Equine Explosion - For those who want to give Crowley a proper nightmare to ride, my Equine Explosion AT pack contains quite a few horses that would fit that description quite nicely.

FAQ:

”I am seeing default Harvey in the game, not Aziraphale.”
Make sure you are not using any other mods that alter Harvey’s appearance! If you are, disable Harvey in the config of said mods.

”The mod isn’t loading!”
Make sure you have the latest versions of SMAPI and Content Patcher, and that you have unzipped and placed the mod files in the correct mod folder. For more information about installing mods for Stardew Valley, see here.

”I can’t find Farmer Crowley’s clothes!”
Make sure you’ve installed Fashion Sense into your mods folder. To find Farmer Crowley’s clothing, you must buy the hand mirror (added by Fashion Sense) from Pierre and use it to open the Fashion Sense menu. You can search your content packs by clicking on the dresser icon and typing in ‘Farmer Crowley’.

”Will you be updating this mod in the future for SDV 1.6?”
That’s the plan!

”Will you make this mod compatible with Mobile?”
At this point in time, no. However, the original Stardew Omens should be compatible as it was updated to 1.4, though I don’t know for sure as I have no knowledge of how mobile compatibility actually works.

”Will you add more compatibility patches?”
Probably, if people request them! The ones currently included are the ones I either already had installed in my game or thought would be appropriate for Aziraphale. I may also add compatibility patches for conversation topics added by other NPCs/Mods in the future.

”Will you make this mod compatible with SVE?”
No.

”Will you make a Crowley version?”
Probably not.

”Can you make Aziraphale into a standalone NPC?”
In the words of the mysteriously esteemed Neil Gaiman - wait and see.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • The pants and skirts in the Farmer Crowley Fashion Sense pack sometimes show pixels of the base sprite underneath - I'm aware of this issue and have been trying to convince the Demon to wear his pants properly trying to fix it, but have not yet come up with a solution. I have included the problem pants in the mod upload, but if the occasional pixels bothers you, simply disable the pants by clicking the garbage can in the Fashion Sense menu and use the vanilla pants/skirts with the color adjusted to match the rest of the outfit. I recommend using Character Customization Anywhere.

CREDITS:

Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, without which we would never have gotten the ineffability that is Good Omens.

The wonderful Thunderheadfred, who granted me permission to update and maintain the original Stardew Omens mod. Almost all assets and artwork are theirs; I only tweaked a few things here and there.

The awesome LuckyLeafeon, who allowed me to convert their Bentley Mod to an Alternative Textures pack for this mod.

PathosChild for being endlessly patient with me as I struggled with editing movie reactions, as well as for making modding possible to begin with.

PeacefulEnd for creating Fashion Sense, so we can play dress up with Farmer Crowley. I also heavily referenced Violetelisabet’s Vanilla Pants and Skirts for how to set up the pants files, and used their Skirt Converter.

The awesome folks over on my personal Stardew Modding Discord server, who have been cheering me on and keeping me motivated.

The people over on the East Scarp Discord server, who put up with my first-time-modding silliness with great patience.

QUESTIONS?:

Don’t hesitate to ask questions by posting here, or asking questions on my Stardew Modding Server. Please post SMAPI logs if at all possible so I can diagnose what might be going on.
