I got permission from babybird2, also known as Yuzu, to translate their original mod into English! Every single piece of dialogue has been rewritten, and many more portrait transitions have been added for better flow! I am a seasoned translator who has translated many Chinese comics, so please rest assured that the quality is up to par!

YOU DO NOT NEED THE ORIGINAL MOD. IT WILL CAUSE AN ERROR IF YOU USE BOTH, BECAUSE I UPDATED THIS ONE TO WORK WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF STARDEW VALLEY.

PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE DESCRIPTION, OR AT LEAST THE INCOMPATIBILITIES & COMPATIBILITIES SECTION BEFORE USING.


The mod introduces a tsundere version of the Wizard, who's younger and entirely different from the one we know in game. He comes with his own unique story, new events, and an incredible amount of new dialogue! As the original description states:

Please consider this Wizard as a new character, as he has his own background story and doesn't have the ex-wife.

This Marriage Mod includes the following:
1. Numerous daily post-marriage dialogues, and the special festival dialogues which are depending on how many hearts he has (four stages of 2, 4, 8, and 11 hearts);
2. Added NINE hearts events, THREE post-marriage event and ONE post-divorce event;
3. Now the Wizard can be invited to be your partner in the Flower Dance Festival;
4. Reimagined the map of Wizard Tower, where you can find a "secret research" of the Wizard;
5. Edited the taste and response of movie, which is also depending on the hearts he gets.
6. After getting married with him, you can choose the nickname he calls you (your name, baby and daring), you can change the way you call him in the 14 Hearts Event;

1. You can change the style by setting “Default” / "White" in the column of “WizardStyle” contained the config.json. 
2. You can change the way he calls you by setting "Name"/"Baby"/"Darling" in the column of “Nickname” contained the config.json. (He will call you by your name by default)

CHANGES FROM ORIGINAL:
Some changes needed to be made for better flow, since Chinese and English do have differences in slang. 

  • The three names he calls you are now (YOUR NAME, LOVE, AND DARLING). This is to better capture what the author was going for and fit the mood. If you wish to still have him use 'Baby', you can DM me for the file. I haven't included it yet because I plan on realeasing it once I've cleaned it up.
  • Some dialogue has been completely rewritten, but this is only a few lines, and because they would've made no sense in English otherwise.

INCOMPATIBILITIES: (taken from the original mod page and added some I figured out)
  • This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH STARDEW VALLEY EXPANDED. After many updates to SVE, as well as the sheer scale of their overhaul at this point, it'd be literally insane to attempt making this compatible.
  • Anything that edits the Wizard is not compatible. This is because this mod overhauls him to be an entirely new character.
  • This MOD is NOT compatible with another portrait and sprite mod. If you wish to change the portrait, you'll have to edit the files yourself.
  • Anything that changes the Wizard's house tileset is incompatible. You will know if it's affected because SMAPI will throw up a red or yellow error/warning at the start if it's affected, and going into his house will glitch out (you will load in, but won't be able to move or interact)


COMPATIBILITIES: (certain exceptions or specifics to the incompatibilities above)
  • Other dialogue mods. Tested in particular with the popular Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion. The game will load both and take the last one that loads to override. For example: Two mods want to change Shane's winter_4 dialogue. The mod that loads last will be the one you'll see in game. Stardew Valley logs mods by alphabetical order, so just ensure that this one is right at the very bottom or at least below whatever dialogue mod you want, or delete any extra lines off of the mod folder before loading. For example: I don't want the Wizard lines from mod A, so I go into its files, Crtl+F and find all the Wizard lines to delete.
  • Furniture mods. Tried and tested. As long as it doesn't interfere with the layout of the house, it's fine. I highly recommend Rustic Country Town Interiors! Goes very well.
  • NPC Map Locations. Works perfectly!
  • Other custom NPC mods. Once again, so long as the wizard tower itself isn't affected, it's completely alright. I highly recommend Eugene NPC - English Translation! They both have dialogue about each other in passing, and I am working on an added dialogue patch for them!

~Hearts Events Condition:
  • Two Hearts (06:00-09:00, Forest, Rainy, Not Winter)
  • Four Hearts - 1 (14:00-17:00, Tower, Sat. *There will be a special dialogue if the two hearts event has been triggered.)
  • Four Hearts - 2 (20:00-22:00, Tower, Having the item he requested in the above event. *The day will automatically end after this event.)
  • Five Hearts (14:00-16:00, Tower, Tue or Wed, Having seen the Four Heart Events 1 & 2.)
  • Six Hearts - 1 (17:00-18:00, Beach, Sunny)
  • Six Hearts - 2 (09:00-16:00, Forest, Sunny, Mon-Fri, Having two hearts with Jas and Vincent)
  • Seven Hearts (10:00-16:00, Forest, Sunny, Sun, Having seen the Six Heart Events 1 & 2.)
  •  Eight Hearts (20:00-23:00, Forest, Sunny, Sun, Having seen all the events of stages 2 and 3, Having greeted all the townies) You will receive the letter from the Wizard.
  • Ten Hearts: (Tower, Having seen all the above events)


Post-Marriage Events Condition:
  • Eleven Hearts (14:00-17:00, Tower, Thu, not the Winter, Known Krobus).
  • Twelve Hearts (09:00-17:00, Town, Sat, Sunny) You will receive the letter from the Mayor.
  • Forteen Hearts (09:00-17:00, Town, Sunny) *There is a follow-up event (with CG) when you come home at night, the day will end in this event.

Post-Divorce Event Condition:
I will not disclose the condition of this event, as I don't want to see someone divorcing with him for the reason of this event. Just can tell you that...you may wish to find his "friend" after divorcing him.
