Arrows

This mod completely overhauls the way archery works in Skyrim. All arrows from the standard game have different variants with different
arrowheads. These arrowheads each have a different effect on the enemy. For example, if you have an opponent in heavy armor, you'll need to switch to an armor-piercing arrow to penetrate the armor. However, these armor-piercing arrows do much less damage, so it is
advisable to switch to other arrowheads against unarmored opponents. The whole thing is visually accompanied by you actually seeing the
arrows ricochet off the armor instead of bombarding you with simple messages and chances.

The arrows have also received a visual upgrade. All arrows have nocks, the textures are high-resolution and the models are more detailed.

Special Arrows

Quivers

Further more, a quiver mechanic was added. This means you can only carry arrows if you have a quiver equipped. The quiver also limits the amount of arrows that you can carry. You can set this limit with a slider in the MCM. This also allows you to wear a quiver matching your outfit, without it changing appearance every time you change your arrows. The quivers are now slimmer in design, reducing the clipping with the equipped bow and makes them look more realistic. The bolt quiver got a slightly changed location, to prevent the vanilla Skyrim flying
quiver issue.

Archery

Archery is now also a bit more complex. Drawing a bow consumes stamina. If you have no more stamina, you can no longer successfully draw the bow. So it is advisable for an archer to level up stamina. A distinction was made between heavy and light bows. Heavy bows are slower and consume more stamina when drawn, which is why you should only use them after a few level ups. As in real life, the crossbow is suitable as a beginner's weapon. It does high damage even without perks and you don't have to rely so much on stamina. On the other hand, the crossbow gives you less to improve on later, since this is a fixed system. The automatic aiming system, that causes arrows to fly towards the enemy, even when you aim to an other spot has been completly removed.

Perks

The archery perk tree has also been completely redesigned. Avoided adding "High Fantasy" perks. According to the motto: "If you hit an enemy three times at midnight, the fourth shot has a 50% chance of doing double damage". Instead, the new perks are linked to properties that can also be trained as a real archer. The perk tree is broken down into four lanes: Strength, Focus, Trickshot and Fletcher.

Other Changes

NPCs will now use Ammo. They have more arrows than in vanilla Skyrim, to
prevent them from running out of ammo. Followers will still have unlimited arrows. NPC which are practicing archery with practice targets, will now collect all the shot arrows after they run out of ammo and continue to practice.

You can now skin rabbits. The skinning of rabbits only works if they were killed with a hammerhead arrow. Otherwise the fur will be destroyed.

Wearing heavy armor reduces stamina regeneration. The more heavy armor pieces you wear, the greater the penalty. This should prevent heavy armor, which is now much more effective against arrows, from becoming too powerful. It is also meant to encourage Archer players to use light armor.

Fixed some enemies' collision boxes. Arrows will no longer fly through e.g. the head of a Dwemer Centurion/Dragon Priest without doing damage.

Bandits now also spawn with crossbows.

The new Arrows get used by all NPCs.

Stores sell new Items.

Important:
This Mod is designed to be used in a new playthrough. The Quiver-Script will count only Arrows that you freshly add to your Inventory. So if you have arrows already in your inventory, when activating, it wont count these arrows. Inorder to fix that, drop all arrows, open the MCM and press the Reset Button. This decision was made, to keep the arrow counting script as light weight as possible.

All mods that adds new arrows/bows needs a patch, inorder for the new added systems to work.
This mod works with other perk mods like ordinator, but must be loaded after them.
