I've been trying to fix the error of the female with the male animation for two hours and only then did I realize that this female actually looks like a male...lmao imo this one is better...sorry https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/68005
Fair warning these animations were made for a really thick female. They look awful and gorilla-like on a halfway thin character in my opinion. However this author has a lot of other great animations that fit thinner females, just not for heavy armor.
Thanks for the heads-up, I quite comically found that out when I disabled the mod for one session and loaded my character (which is quite a wide khajiit, and to offset it I made her taller) to be met with her hands sinking into the hips.
I think this is a problem with a personal taste of mine, but whatever… About your animations sets (I tested and played a lot with Vanargand, too) there is something which unsettles me a little bit, which I had thought it was an issue with my mods list at first since it only begun after disabling Smooth's Random Idle and loading with your animations on top of Pristine Vanilla Movement. But upon inspecting your video again I came to realize that the issue I had with the animation in particular was present too, and it blew my mind.
What is this personal issue of mine? Well, when the PC is standing still they will face slightly side-ways. Nothing unsettling in particular until then, my issue is that they decide to swap the direction after a brief few moments of standing still… And that's what annoys me. Quite like the animations and it's weird that this issue bothers me, or is present at all. I'd like to hear more about this, because if I didn't experience it with the Random Idle animations mod it was because the idling was being replaced using OAR.
There might be one of two issues. 1. If you are using the Main file here, it overrides/writes the vanilla animation/idle. Since you don't really like the idle: Remove ~Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\female\mt_idle.hkx, or replace it with your favored idle.
2. If you are using the CATA optional file, its priority may need adjusting to let Smooth take priority. It is also not randomized, so it will be higher priority than randomized idles and will play first in line over the randomized. However, since you don't really like the idle: Remove, ~Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\OpenAnimationReplacer\CATA\Heavy Armor\female\mt_idle.hkx. Or replace with your favored idle.
is this mod going to be read my FNIS? ive updated fnis but it doesnt list this animation as being read so i just want to check. i do see on the main page that it says it doesnt need fnis though i still thought id ask so im not making a mistake somewhere
I second this. I think there is a way with Xedit. But I will be damned if I remember. And I don't want to mess with that unless I am certain lol.
Another option, if I remember the issue correctly. Is that it reads female orc as male. So if you download male animation counterpart, it should pick it up.
Mors Feminine Females is an SSE Edit script that will unflag "opposite gender animations" for NPCs. OR an alternative would be to add a condition for DAR CATA version by adding to the top of each _conditions.txt: IsActorBase (Skyrim.esm|0x00013747) AND The xEdit script is quicker and easier.
I've found that when using MCO, OAR will take run and sprint animations from there (in folder 11/female/). I just replaced the animations in there with this mods, and its working again.
When using vanilla replacer animations, OAR will use any DAR structured mod to replace the vanilla animations if conditions are met.
So, if user installed this mod's vanilla replacer and then has MCO's movement animations as well, OAR sees conditions IsFemale and Is the Player in MCO's DAR folders, MCO animations will play over vanilla in game. To overcome this, use CATA version with added condition for Player Only, or manually replace MCO's animations with LAII's vanilla replacer animations. (drag and drop)
Quick question about this: I'm planning to use multiple idle animations, distributed via CATA. How do I go about having multiple idle data? Do I just put all of them in the folder you pointed to? Or do I have to settle for a single idle?

NVM found it i'm just dumb
it's incredible how we can go from needing FNIS, to just DAR and now nothing for animations.
Anyway to put these on female orcs? This mod is very dated and needs an esp.

IsActorBase (Skyrim.esm|0x00013747) AND

Does this not work with ADXP mods? And if so, is there a way to change that?
For whatever reason, this mod would NOT work for Vortex. Luckily, manual installation worked with no issue!
Also, MAD props to the creator of this mod, it's so damn good! Vanilla Skyrim animations make me feel icky.
