Changelogs

I've never liked the fact that whether I choose to be a knight or a spellsword, I'll ultimately end up with the same one-handed perks. Also, if I'm a master of archery and magic, why can't I use that to my advantage? This mod seeks to add some depth to class based gameplay, offer some incentive to invest in sets of skills rather than individual skills and breathe some new life into your favorite perk overhaul.

Some of you may recognize that this mod is a refined and improved version of my previous mod, ReClassified Ordinator. This version is focused on compatibility, with less overall requirements, no dependency on Ordinator and improved functionality.

Update 2.0.0
Spoiler:
Show

(AE Compatibility) AE users can now use all features of this mod. The DAR animations have been removed and replaced with Nemesis behaviors. Also users have reported that the perk tree can be accessed using Minimalistic Custom Skills Menu (MCSM). This means that as of this update the mod is now 100% AE friendly
(New Perks)
  • Arachnic Alchemy: Grants a portable imbuing chamber that can be used to craft spider scrolls and their components from anywhere. Requires 1 Alchemy and 1 Enchanting  perk to be known
  • Ayleid Aegis: While blocking your unenchanted shield will create a ward that protects against spells (applies the same enchantment as Spellbreaker, but with a stronger ward). Requires 2 Block and 3 Restoration perks to be known
  • Barbed Tips: Your arrows cause stacking bleed damage to enemies. Requires 2 Archery and 1 Smithing perk to be known
(New Feature) Hand-to-hand skill can be manually selected in the MCM and defaults to Light Armor. This is to accommodate the fact that different perk overhauls lump hand-to-hand in with different skills. Perk requirements have been adjusted to reflect this change
(New Option) Perk menu hotkey can bow be unbound using ESC on keyboard or Back on controller
(Balance Tweak) Higher level enemies will no longer resist Blighted Lily's resurrection spell

Complimentary Magic Mods

While no magic mods are specifically required by this mod, including a few in your load order will greatly expand your ability to utilize some of this mod's perks. The following magic mods have patches included in the FOMOD to extend Blended Skills' perk functionalities to them (please see the "Compatible Spells" sections within the perks section for a list of spells from each mod that can trigger Blended Skills effects).

Installation/Usage

1) Install the mod with a mod manager
2) Press the ";" key to open the perks menu in game (if this keybind is unacceptable change it in the MCM, can be unbound with ESC or Back on controller)
3) Profit

You can find a "Loadout Token" that will give you basic spells and gear for a certain class and books on the standard Elder Scrolls classes / which perks from this mod are most applicable to them inside the "Blended Skills Items" item that is added to your inventory after installation.

Compatibility

From my testing this mod is compatible with almost everything. The magic patches included in the FOMOD aren't to resolve conflicts, but simply add functionality from this mods perks to mod added spells. I've tried to address some of the most popular magic mods, let me know if there's something additional you need in the comments. The perk overhaul patches in the FOMOD address an issue that causes CTDs while using the GetPerks SKSE function

  • Proteus patch is in development by Phenderix, in the meantime some perks will have to be removed and readded via console after switching characters

Credits

Some incredible mod authors gave me permission to merge or repurpose features from their mods into this one. Their incredible work is the source of eleven out of the thirty perks featured in this mod.
  • EnaiSiaion - Creator of Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim. Combat Archer, Demoralize, Hissing Dragon, Lion's Arrow, and Sniper all come from Ordinator (you can see why the original version of this mod required Ordinator).
  • Sammylad298 - The Necro-archer perk comes directly from their mod, Necro Archer - Bound Arrow Reanimation.
  • aureoy - Creator of Throw Stone -- Simple Distraction Tool, the source for the “Throw Stone” power.
  • macrophage001 - For his mod Sleight of Hand, and its perk adaptation found in this mod.
  • jg1 - For the .nif files they created for Vibrant weapons - Fire Frost Shock. The Dawn’s Chosen and Elemental Redirection perks use them for the fancy effects.
  • siebel - For his work on Witcher Oil in Skyrim. I’d also like to thank the many authors credited on siebel’s mod page for the resources they contributed to the mod. While altered this wonderful mod is the basis for the Special Brew perk.
  • juhaaaa - Not only do multiple perks draw from their work in Vitrium - Spells and Tools Pack, but they also offered their help with animation files and instructions on how to modify them to my needs. Thanks for the encouragement!
