Description

This is a small series of tweaks that adress some lore inconsistencies within the gameplay.

Thanks to /u/_Jaiim on skyrimmods subreddit in this thread, for suggesting some of the tweaks.

Dunmer Ghosts in Tolvalds Cave wear Bonemold Armor

Changes the armor that the Dunmer Ghosts (within Tolvald's Cave) are wearing from Elven to Bonemold.

Dwarven Automatons - Resistances and Weaknesses

Changes the resistances and weaknesses of Dwarven Automatons:

Removed the 25% Resistance to Magic
Changed the 100% Resistance to Frost to a 75% Resistance to Shock
Added 25% Resistance to Fire
Added 50% Weakness to Frost

Reason: Changes are made to reflect the description of automatons in he lorebook Ruins of Kemel-Ze.

Ice Wraith Witbane

Ice Wraiths can now infect you with Witbane, as refered to in the lorebook Herbane's Bestiary: Ice Wraiths.

Hagravens Use Drain Life

Hagravens now use Drain Life spells (Similar to Vampires, but they don't inflict the disease.), as refered to in the lorebook Herbane's Bestiary: Hagravens.

Kematu Knows Magic

At the end of the In My Time Of Need quest, Kematu will use a Paralyze spell. However, he won't use this if you fight him. I gave him a Paralyze spell. In addition, also gave him Oakflesh, Fast Healing, changed and changed his stats to make him able to use these spells.

Spriggans Can Have Firewood

If you kill a Spriggan, they have a chance to have Firewood in their inventory, if you loot them. A patch for Woodcutting Tweaks is included. If said patch is used, Spriggans will have Tree Logs in their inventory instead.

Quarried Stone at Ore Veins

While mining ore veins, you'll now receive some quarried stone, in addition to the ores. A patch for Lorkhan's Legacy is included in the optional files. If said patch is used both Quarried stone and items from Lorkhan's Legacy can be obtained while mining ores.

Fethis Alor Sells Pitchforks

Fethis Alor in Raven Rock says he sells pitchforks, but didn't actually sell them. I've added them to his merchant inventory.

Thomas Knows Fireball

Thomas: Despite his note mentioning that he knows the Fireball, he didn't. As such, I've given him that spell.

Runil Knows Magic

Runil

"Runil's journal suggests that Runil fought in the Great War on the side of the Aldmeri Dominion as a leader of a unit of battlemages." -UESP

However, he didn't actually have any spells. So, I gave him some spells, perks and proper class for spellcasting.

Vampire NPCs Are Actual Vampire Races

Alva and Serana weren't actually Vampire races, instead they were assigned the "NordRace". I changed that to NordRaceVampire.

Note: This will change their appearance and may conflict with NPC appearance overhauls, causing the black face bug. Be aware of that. I have no plans to make patches for those.

I also included an optional patch for USSEP.

As of 1.6, these edits are now in a seperate file, due to the edits being controversial.

If Serana gets cured, she should be set back to NordRace and her eyes and skin should be fixed. She should also no longer wear her hood outside in the sun.

This tweak has a script that conflicts with Serana's Hood Fix with Animation. You should let that mod override the script from my tweaks, as that mod already has similar fixes.

Valerica and Lord Harkon have also been included.

Farmers Encounter Grants Gift Of Charity

During a random world encounter, you might find a farmer and his wife on the road or in an inn, saying that they're on the run after a dragon destroyed their home. You can give them gold, but if you do, you didn't receive the Gift of Charity blessing. I changed that, so it does grant that blessing.

Enthralled Wizards

Atmah and Hafnar Ice-Fist get enthralled by Savos in Labythinthian. I restored their original look, names and give them more appropriate spells and perks for master wizards, as they only had Novice level spells.

Nurelion Knows Magic

I gave Nurelion several spells, perks and better stats to make him into a proper altmer sage, with level 100 in alchemy as well.

FAQ

Q: I'm using the vampire tweaks and my Serana/Alva have the black face bug. / I have conflicts with appearance overhauls for Serana/Alva.
A: If you're using appearance overhauls, you're probably not interested in making Serana/Alva into actual vampire race NPCs. As such, load your appearance overhauls after this mod. I have no plans to make any patches for those. If anyone wants to make patches for them, feel free. (see permissions)

Q: ESPFE?
A: Yes.

Q: Does installing/updating/uninstalling on an existing save work?
A: As far as I know, it should. However, it's good practice to keep a backup save prior to doing this, just in case.

Q: Is this compatible with <insert mod>?
A: I don't know by heart. You might need to check yourself.

Q: Will you make a patch for <insert mod>?
A: Only if it's a mod I use myself or plan on using, I have enough time and I actually like the idea. Otherwise, feel free to do it yourself. (see permissions)

Q: I have a suggestion to improve the mod. Can you do it?
A: Maybe, if I have time and I like the idea, I'll consider it.

Q: Will you port this to <insert platform>?
A: No, I myself only support the Steam and GOG English SE and AE versions of Skyrim. If someone else wants to port it, feel free. (see permission) If you decide to port it, you yourself take full responsibility to offer support to said port. I will not provide no support for any ports by third parties.

Q: I use a ported version of this mod on <insert platform> and I have a problem. Can you help?
A: I don't provide any support for third party ports on other platforms than the Steam and GOG English SE and AE versions of Skyrim. If you have issues, you should adress the person that ported it.

Q: Does this work on Skyrim 1.6+, aka "Anniversary Edition"?
A: Yes, it should.

Q: Why don't your mods use MCMs and instead use this janky console command system to set globals?
A: I am not a fan of MCMs. You can set the globals by making a patch in xEdit. I have no plans of changing this. If you want to add an MCM, feel free. (see permissions)

Q: Why don't you use FOMODs?
A: That would require reuploading the entire mod, in question, even if I only make a small change. My internet is limited and reuploading the files each time will take a huge chunk of my monthly volume.
