I can see that one of the requirements for this mod is "UIExtensions" but I already got "SkyUI". I tried researching a bit but could not figure out if SkyUI is compatible with UIExtensions; so I thought I might ask here as well if anyone is using "Where Are You" with all its requirements + SkyUI? Would really love to use this mod, however I cannot remove SkyUI in my modlist'ꨄ︎
SkyUI is compatible with UIExtensions. It might seem conflicting but both of them do things differently, I can't quite explain it. I am using it for another mod and that works perfectly.
This mod has already helped me massively. But I must ask, is there a way to untrack all NPC's outside of going through and doing it one by one? I want to be able to keep the quest itself active if I can. The mod got maxed out as soon as it started and I really don't want to be tracking everyone and I really don't want to go through 100+ names to click the untrack option.
One of the mods I find myself using very often. To find that lost follower NPC for the quest, to find the incredibly well hidden NPC to give some item to, to get my follower out of a ditch :)
I use this Where Are You mod for another nifty little trick:
Spoiler:
Show
1. I use NFF's Set-Home-For-Follower or My Home Is Your Home to place followers at different homes (vanilla or mod-added) or some inn/camp (after dropping a bedroll for them to sleep in), and then dismiss them (so they are not in my current follower "squad"; but NFF will remember them in its history (MCM settings), if I had imported them into its framework earlier), so they return to their assigned "home"/inn. 2. Then later, while adventuring & traipsing somewhere in Skyrim, I tell my current follower(s) ("squad" member(s)) to "Wait Here". (trivia: NFF allows followers to sandbox/relax at a location when they are waiting; so no feeling of guilt if you make followers wait somewhere.) 3. I can now (temporarily) visit any other follower's home (my home too) or location anytime by just searching for the follower name using Where Are You's hotkey (I prefer "Numpad *" as that hotkey - customizable in this mod's MCM settin; because I use F3 for Quick Favorites 3rd Group), and then using the "Visit" feature, so I am instantly teleported to wherever that follower is. 4. Later, after doing whatever I needed at that home/location (such as adding some followers there, by teleporting them using Where Are You and setting that place as their home; or adding them back to my "squad" by telling them to "Follow Me"; I have too many followers, I sometimes forget their names, so I may need to visit/see them to see if I want them in my squad currently!), I can then instantly return back to my current follower by "visiting" them (via Where Are You), to continue our adventuring together. 5. This trick is also useful to visit a town/city or remote location if you know the name of any named NPC there. For example, you can visit Angi's Camp (without even having met her or visited her location) by searching for her name using this mod and clicking "Visit". Or visit the Skyforge instantly (during day-time) by "visiting" Eorlund Gray-Mane. 6. Another useful related trick is to use this mod to track and fetch/teleport or visit the roaming NPCs (Interesting NPCs mods adds several such roaming NPCs). e.g., M'aiq the Liar - you can enliven your boring day by tracking down this mysterious vagabond Khajiit and chatting with him - his sarcastic sardonic one-liners always bring a chuckle or two. The other day, he told me: "M'aiq has heard it is dangerous to be your friend."
Yeehaw! I am using followers as custom Mark & Recall features, LOLz, courtesy this brilliant mod! Thanks and kudos to k0mp1ex!
Does anyone know why this isn't working? I have MCM helper 1.5.0 and address library 11 installed, but hitting the hotkey does nothing. I changed it from F3 to =, nothing. I changed it from = to L, still nothing. I tried adding ctrl/shift/alt onto it, no luck. I also tried saving and reloading, didn't help.
I did install it mid-game which might be the issue, but from what I know that shouldn't break it
I have no idea. I was on 1.5.97 and the first time I installed the mod, it worked perfectly fine. But then it stopped. Even in a new game or coc command from the main menu. Even tried to reinstall the mod, delete the configs in the overwrite folder of MO2. Now I'm trying to upgrade to 1.6.1170 because someone told me that almost every mods have been updated. And since, it works perfectly fine. No problem what so ever.
Thanks, this still works perfectly fine on AE 1.6.1170. I was getting tired of constantly looking for Esbern, who keeps wandering off around Skyhaven Temple, after a dragon hunt. This literally saves me time!
