About this mod

Rebuilt from scratch, an updated version of the dot crosshair for SE/AE, with optional new sneak eye. No known incompatibilities.

Permissions and credits
No part of this mod may be distributed on the Bethesda modding platform.

Introducing the cleanest crosshair that Tamriel has ever seen.

Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration... Then again, maybe not.

  • This mod replaces the vanilla crosshair with a dot.
  • Optionally, it also replaces the stealth meter / sneak eye with a more abstract and less intrusive circle.
  • No other HUD elements are affected.
  • This was made from scratch using the latest gamefiles, and is therefore fully compatible with AE.

Versions

  • Standard version with new dot crosshair and new sneak eye
  • Only updated dot crosshair version
  • Sleeker version with no activatable crosshair at all (recommended for use with a mod like BTPS)
  • Patches for the standard version are also available

Installation

This mod has no requirements. Freely install or uninstall at any time, either manually, or with your favorite mod manager!

Compatibility

Anniversary Edition / Special Edition:

  • This mod uses the latest files from AE, but it should still work with the pre-AE version of the game. Please let me know if you have any issues.

Compatible mods:

Patch available:

Incompatible mods:

  • Pastel SKYUI Markers - patch pending for a certain version
  • iActivate due to the way that mod is built
  • Other crosshair replacers
  • ...anything else which does replace hudmenu.swf

FAQ

Q: What about the activatable crosshair?

A: This is internationally left alone, and probably won't be changing. Unfortunately, the existing system for the crosshair on activatables simply does not allow for a single dot, so it would have to be removed and replaced, which would mean making this less compatible with other mods. UPDATE: I have added a version that removes it entirely, by request.

Q: What about Contextual Crosshair?

A: Theoretically, this mod should be compatible. If you are experiencing issues with it, unfortunately I cannot help you.
