Traditional Skyrim and Solstheim Paper Maps

This is a "port" of Walbug's Beige Map Markers
made to work flawlessly with SkyUI, SkyHUD, Less Intrusive HUD II, CoMAP & Anniversary Edition!

Made as a continuation of my previous port - Traditional (8K) Skyrim and Solstheim Paper Maps for FWMF (AE and SSE)


And here is the story behind this "port"
After I've made Traditional (8K) Skyrim and Solstheim Paper Maps for FWMF (AE and SSE) and was really happy with the results, I knew that there was one more thing missing. I love black & white simple designs, but after looking at a gorgeous map like this one, they just didn't fit. Lucky for me Walburg already though about this and made the original Skyrim map marker design's have a light beige color. And those made just enough of a difference to be subtle, sharp and elegant. They just fit! 

But there was one thing that was bugging me even back then when Walburg's mod was fresh. It didn't work with SkyUI!
Well technically it did.. but they just didn't play nice and SkyUI was throwing all kind of errors in your face.

Well. This. Ends. Here! As I have successfully "ported" them and allowed myself to make my own little touches here and there and it was all done in a very tedious and time consuming manner.. why? Because Adobe stopped support of "Adobe Flash" and Bethesda decided to use ".SWF" files for this freaking things.. which makes them borderline impossible to edit on a modern system as Windows 10 sees "Adobe Flash" and "Adobe Flash FX" as the devil

But fear not brave wonderer as our savior Mirhayasu has made "Custom Map Markers for Paper Maps by Mirhayasu" and with the help of his mod. I've made it possible, tedious, but possible!

And here we are, able to finally experience these wonderful map markers and a cursor, with SkyUI installed and even required, but very happy to work with these map markers this time around.

Requirements
  •  SkyUI - Essential mod (You will not be able to use these map markers properly without it!)

Features
  • Full set of icons covering each map icon in the game.
  • A new cursor matching the style of the icons.
  • Custom icons that make sense in a paper map world!
  • Fully compatible compass icons in 2 different flavors. (VanillaSkyHUD or Less Intrusive HUD II - You choose, I support!)
  • Fully compatible with CoMAP. (Covering each icon in the main mod.)
  • Fully functional FOMOD installer with automatic mod recognition and recommendations. (Well structured folders for manual installation as well!)

Installation
1. Install SkyUI.
2. Install Custom Map Markers for Traditional Skyrim and Solstheim Paper Maps for SkyUI. (This mod!)
3. Enjoy your new map markers!

(Optional) 
4. Install Flat World Map Framework (FWMF).

4.1. Pick your 'Flat Map Markers' version - SE for Special Edition or AE for Anniversary Edition.
4.2. Pick your 'Whitelisted worldspaces' - Pick 'Skyrim and Solstheim' or any of the others (Do NOT pick 'Skyrim Only'!)
4.3. Pick your 'FWMF versions' - Here you will need to pick 'FWMF for maps by Mirhayasu or Aesoterik' if you want my map mod to work as intended!
4.4. Pick your 'Weather Overhaul' if you are using any and the patch for 'Water for ENB' if you are using it.
4.5. Pick any fixes you desire. (Strongly recommend for everybody to use the 'Throat of the World purple texture' fix!)

(Optional) 
5. Install Traditional (8K) Skyrim and Solstheim Paper Maps for FWMF. (The mod these map markers are made to work with!)
5.1. Always load it/install it after Flat World Map Framework so it overrides it's files!
[Example] It should look like this if you are using MO2:

6. Enjoy your new traditional 8K gorgeous maps!

(Quick tip)

7. If you are using 'Water for ENB' (which I strongly recommend!) your load order should look something like this:

7.1. If you are having issues with distant water that means that your load order is messed up.
7.2. Configure it correctly and you shouldn't have any more issues!


Compatibility 
Not compatible with:
- Any other map mods that override or change this one. 
- Any other UI frameworks except SkyUI.

Possible issues:
- Any mod that modifies the world map or its weather should be put higher in your load order. 

Compatible with
:
- Any mod that doesn't override or changes map marker textures & map models.
- Any mod that doesn't override or change files from SkyUI.


Game version:
- Any Skyrim (SESpecial Edition version compatible with SkyUI.
- Any Skyrim (AEAnniversary Edition version compatible with FWMF.

= For Skyrim (LELegendary Edition, please use the original Paper World Map as I haven't gotten around to porting this version.


Recommended Mods


Make sure to follow the installation guide on the mod page!
  • Atlas Map Markers - Updated with MCM  - Works perfectly with any map mod. Makes map markers smaller which helps with readability. It also allows the installation of custom map markers which opens a lot of possibilities.
Just make sure to put any all of it's mod files before this mod in your load order.
  • Paper Soul Cairn Map for FWMF - Amazing map that continues the theme of this mod, make sure to check out most of the maps available for FWMF, as there are some very amazing creations out there!
Put the .esl before or after this mod, makes no difference!
