Both mods are aspen replacers. The last one loaded by the game will overwrite the other. Choose which of the 2 mods you like visually the most and keep that one. This mod has Seasons of Skyrim support and the trees change throughout the year. Realistic aspen trees does not have Seasons support and the trees stay the same season through the year. The autumn season from my mod is inspired by Realistic aspen trees color wise but it's improved upon with the addition of the new sappling meshes. If you want a standalone version of my aspens without seasons, here you go. Does that answer your question?
Sorry, I need help. I ran Dynd, but my juniper tree trunk and some tree trunks on cliffs did not have any textures (so they are purple in the game). So I checked their meshes, but unfortunately, there are no corresponding textures in the texture path. What should I do?
It would be better to ask at the mod page from which the problematic trees come from. This mod only touches aspen trees around riften and nothing more. From what you are saying though, I suspect a mod conflict between two mods that change the reach cliff trees.
Greetings, my friend. First I would liek to commend you for this incredible mod and idea. Truly, it is marvelous. Sadly, I have an issue in my game related to this mod. The mod works perfectly. I can see the colors change with the seasons as intended. Though, from a distance (I think you call that LOD?), the trees are always golden-orange, until I approach them. I have, of course, generated Dyndolod and Textgen and XLODGen (took me 5 hours in total), so I don't understand what the problem could be.
Hello. Yes, I did all of those things already, except the last part (ultra tree lod) which I don't know what it is! That said, I figured out the problem. It turns out I have to enter and exit an enterior in order for the correct LOD to load after the seasons changed. I was testing the mod out and waited outside in the Rift without changing locations when the seasons changed, which caused the LOD not to load correctly.
I don't get what's up with the sizes. My winter aspens are shorter than the spring, summer, and fall trees, and yet their lod is the size of the trees in the spring, summer and fall. Yet, in the spring, summer and fall, the lods are the size of the winter aspens, but the trees are the size of the winter Aspen lods. So in the non-winter months, the trees pop in as larger than their lod, and in the winter, they suddenly shrink on popin. Nifskope shows all the assets to be the same size. DynDOLOD has no issues and is using the 3d lod. I can use BOS to scale the base Aspen tree to 0.82 and the spring, summer, and fall close trees will match their lod, but then the winter aspens becomes doubly small, while their lod stays as tall as the other trees should have been the whole time. What the hell is going on. Changing their sizes in nifskope has no effect on their size in game. Trying to use BOS to swap the scale of lod just causes it to be winter all the time for the lod.
Hello! This is the first time anyone mentions an issue like that, so it is 100% related to your specific mod setup. Do the trees in winter look like the ones in the screenshots ? Or do they get replaced by something else.. Also do the lod models look like they should according to the season? I suggest 2 things: 1. Using More Informative Console, open the console in game (~ key) and click on one of the winter trees and see what is the last mod in your load order that modifies the model. 2. Make a new profile with everything disabled except Seasonal Aspen trees and it's requirements (Seasons of Skyrim etc.) and Dyndolod. Then check if the issue persists (my guess is it will not) and then start adding back the seasons related mods and tree mods and see which one causes the issue.
You need the seasons framework for this to work. There are no default textures here, there is one texture for every season, so if your trees are looking for the default texture, it doesn't exist. The real question is if Bruma is compatible with the seasons framework. If you want the same trees without changing seasons check out my other mod Green and Lush Aspen Trees SE
Fyi there is a compatibility patch in the reqs of Seasons of Skyrim that is the mod that lead me to these aspen trees in the first place as it ties this mod to Bruma with Seasons of Skyrim
For example, 20-30? Or much more? I'm also using 1K-2K textures, ENB and DyndoLOD. And I'm also want to know how critical it hit my memory with GPU. Thanks.
I don't use these mods so I can't answer your questions. Also it depends a lot on what gpu you have. My old gtx 1080 has no performance hit with my trees+ grass+enb etc.
Not sure what you mean by "snow and forest areas", this is a mod only for the aspen trees at Riften and surounding areas. Also this mod is very performance friendly, I'm running it with an old GTX 1080 with 60 FPS steady (enb and everything), and this is also confirmed by a lot of others here in the comments. Check your other mods for heavy FPS hits.
Hi, facing an issue. When I fast forward time to Autumn, the aspen trees do not appear, I'm not sure if it's due to seasons of skyrim or whatnot, just thought I'd ask here for any pointers to help me with this issue, thanks.
You mean that the trees disappear or they don't look like the correct season? Sounds like the game can't find the mesh for that season. Do the other 3 seasons work? What other season or aspen tree related mods do you have?
Yeah they just straight up disappear, but they do show when it is Summer, I haven't looked at Winter and spring yet which I will do so later today. So far for Aspen tree mods I only use yours.
I do use Seasonal Landscapes, Seasonal Landscapes Unfrozen, Seasonal Unique flowers and plants, Seasons of Skyrim - Remove Unwanted Grass, Seasonal Alchemy, and Seasons of Skyrim SMIM Patch.
EDIT: Coming back to confirm that Autumn and Winter comes, aspen trees are invisible, but for summer and spring they appear normally.
Have you installed the patch for Seasonal aspen trees from Seasonal landscapes? This is very weird as all 4 season meshes get installed normally and the ini files distribute them. Some other ini file must be overwriting autumn and winter. Check if the Seasonal Landscape patch helps.
Yeah I had the patch installed included in Seasonal Landscapes, so what I'll try to do is to have the esp for the Aspens patch lower in my LO, see if that does anything.
I checked the overwrite list in MO2 for Seasonal Landscapes, and yeah it's getting INIs overwritten by your mod which I assume is supposed to happen.
Just wanna say, I was having this problem as well and this worked for me!
So hopefully if anyone is scrolling through looking for missing aspen trees they'll find this conversation and maybe some extra keywords Thanks for sharing your progress/fix! Made my day
I have a 1080 and I don't have lag using my mod. I always make things performance friendly because otherwise my PC can't handle it. Other users have not reported frame drops, on the contrary, most users say it runs very well compared to other tree mods. Also I should add that this mod has the same meshes and textures in all seasons, they just change color. It's not like autumn has more heavy assets or something. Are you sure the lag is from my mod and not from something else you have installed?

Thank you.
Are you using Dyndolod 3 as suggested in the requirements ?
Did you check all the seasons boxes when generating lods as shown here?
Also you need to have ultra tree lod checked as these are meshes and not billboards.
Anyway glad you got it working.

I have a 3090, cuts my frames by half.
I spent awhile figuring out it was this mod during that month, wasn't able to figure out exactly which tree it was. Hope this helps :/
All the other months are fine so far! Incredible mod! Unfortunate that autumn lags,
Will be using,
set gamemonth to Y
as a workaround for now.Other users have not reported frame drops, on the contrary, most users say it runs very well compared to other tree mods.
