I use both bruma & lotd. I dont have cc since i prevented steam from updating to ae. I didnt see a patch for non cc unless its the azura star variant patch?

Yes, it's intentional due to The Cause added its own version of Welkynd Stone. And there is a list that need to edit which contain The Cause's Welkynd Stone. I may do the one without it later.
Since Legacy of the Dragonborn - Creation Club Patch for Anniversary Edition haven't finish yet. I recommend player who use LOTD to not start a new playthrough. My Patch still works, but when Creation Club Patch for Anniversary Edition came out, I have to update all these LOTD patches for CC, and yes, you have to start a new game again.
