    Most if not all issues from the original "bugpile" fixed, tested fully in 3 beta stages and a release candidate with over 20 testers most with over 400 mods.

    Bad edits causing issues with vanilla main quests removed. NOTE: Angi's Camp, and quest is incorporated into the mod.

    Locations: Narzulbur, Northwatch Keep, Witchmist Grove, Pale Pass Border Region and more all restored.

    Vanilla interior cells cleaned of any navmesh edits.

    navmesh edits reduced by at least 75% in exteriors, all edits are considered "soft overrides" in tes5edit

    Rigmor is now quest aware with Skyrim's main quest from "Before the Storm" to  "A Blade in the Dark."

    Rigmor has extra "chats" when sitting down to talk for more immersion.

    Rigmor has an extra 1000 lines of dialogue by Jess.

    Brand new beginning to the mod avoiding Riverwood completely.

    Rigmor's kiss animation included, when the quest is finished, place a rose in your followers inventory (anyone) and you can kiss them.

    Dedicated non-romantic arc centered around friendship.

    Fleshed out scenes, and plot holes filled in about certain events (such as the dress scene)

    A new song for Rigmor to sing in the latter part of the quest.

    Force stop the 3 beginning Rigmor Quest Aware "ghost" quests, stopping Lydia and Lucia from acting normally.

    Khajiits race issue carrying Rigmor, it wasn't an armor issue, Khajiit race was deselected in the armorAA.

    Issue fixed with the ending Boss wanting to go swimming.

    The Lydia dilemma, if you choose to keep her or leave her ignoring buying the house, the Rigmor QA "ghost" was not set to fire up.

    Quest pop up M13 142 - a redundant trigger box left by the old mod near stones on the white river now disabled.

    Removed 50% skeevers and 10% spiders from the dungeon crawl during "The Promise" causing some to ctd.

    Removed another 10 - 12 npc's from the final battle at whiterun for better stability.

    Edited out an un-needed weather call, was called twice causing some issues for some.

    Checked and edited any bad "door" navmeshes in custom Rigmor interiors, sometimes Rigmor won't follow through.

    Added a couple of "fail safes" with traveling to Windhelm, the next stage to find sethri is triggered before you go in.

    Upon triggering the stage, fail safes are disabled. Work if you FT inside too.

    Hedren will sometimes not respond when he should force greet the player when a Boss dies.

    If the kill script fails, there is a fail safe trigger box in Alvors foundry in the top left corner.

    The bandit outside Helgen is now set to a level 3 - 30 depending on the players level (was 20)

    The trolls on the mountain to the shrine are also set 3 - 30 depending on the players level (was 15)

    Enemies in the M6 "The Promise" dungeon crawl re-balanced. 

    Grand Wizards were level 60, now leveL 12 - 40 depending on player level.

    Fail safe on the final scene at the border. If the player is stuck and the quest fails to end



    FIXES IN 1.1c

    Rigmor no longer uses outfits while she is a follower in ACT I. 

    All her stuff is temporarily placed in a nearby chest, and given back if she changes clothes.

    You might still have to rearrange her armor but at least you won't lose stuff.

    Issue where followers could not be recruited when buying the house in Breezehome fixed.

    Possible issue and CTD when Rigmor arrives at the battle after the runner arrives fixed.

    Missing dialogue during Kynesgrove scene fixed.

    The miner issue completely bypassed, and is now optional.

    Fixed Rigmor not following during the dungeon crawl in M6.

    Better info and quest entries for support.

    Orc spawn at the Hot Springs ambush reduced.

    Rigmor's cot at Roses camp made slightly bigger so she don't get stuck in the collision.

    Lydia dilemma trigger box reinforced.

    Some known incompatibilities with other mods (+ some fixes) in alphabetic order:

    • Ashwind Cottage (a quest starts again when you enter the place later)
    • Bjorn follower mod (location conflict near Narzulbur) -> Fix: Use the console command "moveto player" near the dead bodies on both Yngol and his horse.
    • Cities of the North (or anything that moves vanilla buildings can be an issue; Falkreath for that mod.)
    • Convenient Dialogue (breaks Sorella) -> Fix: Disable that mod
    • Enhanced Landscapes (adds items blocking a mountain path.)
    • EVG Animated Traversal (the add-on "Flat Footed" puts a fort right on top of a needed RoB location.)
    • Fast-SMP (has an issue with its 1.4.3 release that will turn an NPC invisible, known issue across multiple mods with that version.) -> Fix: Use an older version, or check if they've fixed the issue.
    • Fellheim Estate  -> Fix: put RoB last in your load order, disable walls via console
    • Immersive Armors (conflicts in the beginning) -> Fix: From their page:
      Q3 : The game crashes when Immersive Armors is configuring.
      A #1 : Refer to the second sticky post or
      A #2: There's a conflict with the mod Rigmor of Bruma. Disable Rigmor, let IA configure then re-enable Rigmor.
    • Immersive Creatures (has been known to causes some conflicts early, I believe with spawned animals near a certain location.)
    • Improved Mountain LODs & Z Fighting Patch (adds 'caps' over many of the mountains around Skyrim. It covers the entrance to the bonus at the top of the mountain Rose sends you to,  the entrance to the first mine, the exit from that mine, down the valley to Fort Black and out the otherside for starters.)
    • JK's Interiors (might be a slight problem in the Bannered Mare, due to a chair.)
    • Joseph Russel's Writing Patches (only works on the original version, not the reboot)
    • Lordship, build your own city (uses the Overlook space)
    • Moon and Stars -> Fix: you'll need RoB below that mod due to some rocks they have in the same spot as a camp you visit briefly.
    • Nemesis animation framework (will not break the mod, but an animation won't run properly)
    • Redcap follower mod (kills Anise) -> Fix: Do Rigmor's quest before freeing Redcap. Also note that it doesn't matter if Anise is dead. You just need to pick up the items from her cabin.

    General advice:

    1) Don't import Rigmor into any follower frameworks. There are those that have some success with them, after the mod is finished. During the quests in the mod can cause problems.

    2) Avoid any mods that affect/modify Angi (vanilla character).

    There is now a true HPH Conversion of Rigmor available by EdDante34. Using a new tool, Ed was able to take Rigmor's head and make a
    conversion to HPH.

    Objective Kill aedriath's henchmen and pursue him. Killed his henchmen and then he ran away. Found him. Chase him all the way to Solitude. He is invincible. I can not move on to next objective. He is hostile so rigmor just fight him.

      The "pursue him" means only uphill where the rest of his henchmen are. After killing them, there is a dialogue with Rigmor, triggering the next quest stage.

    Is there a simple walkthrough for RoB so I know where the triggers are? I started new game with Alternate Perspective as a Thalmor prisoner (seemed appropriate) with lev 35 experience (one of the options). I recruited Inigo as my companion, and then rescued Rigmor with the help of Rose. At some point we went to Helgen and started main quest. The last Rigmor quest I'm aware of completing was killing the Riften Bounty Hunters. I don't seem to have gotten any prompts beyond that. We've continued the main quest by finding Esbern, and are now at "Auduin's Wall". Other than occasional attacks by small groups, there's nothing directing me on her behalf.
    I played RoB years ago when it first came out , and it seemed like there was so much going on, like the return to the B.M. Guild (trying not to use spoilers), the constantly increasing r-blocks, the rest stop at the hotsprings. I'm waiting for any of that to trigger. Should I be talking to her more often at the inns?

    BTW, I have spent years telling anyone who would listen how this is the best Skyrim mod I've ever played... so many incredible layers, well-thought out storyline, and attention to details other modders might have not thought worth the effort to include. My pc from back then struggled with some of the encounters; this time I expect no lag when I'm outside Whiterun. Thank you for any and all efforts keeping this mod alive and exciting.

      NVM.... I figured out the problem. We left Riften with Esbern after saving him in the Warrens. I think it overwrote her cutscene by the lake. Went back with just her, same south gate... this time she mentioned the hot springs. I think I'm back on track.

      In the video-section of this mod, there are multiple walkthroughs.

      while playing the mod, it is generally recommended to concentrate on its story and not "leave the path". the main quest is an exception - or rather an example, as Rigmor has dialogue up to Kynesgrove /returning the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller to the Greybeards. After that, you should heed the urgency of Rigmor's quest and help her as you promised.

      Got it. Been soloing with Rigmor ever since Riften. Only problem I have now is with my game... I can't pick up certain books that I read or items I might need. Been copying important ones with console (player.additem) but it's not recognizing the Slaver's List as far as triggering the next part of the questline, so I can't advance. Would you know the quest id and stage number for having collected that book? I'm hoping to find it through console... but just in case?

      We genarally don't recommend / advice against using console commands to advance stages, as there might be additional scripts running in the backgrpund that will break. So more "bugs" will occur later.

      okay. I'll see if I can find a workaround, otherwise I'm stuck. Tried putting the copy of SL on a dead thalmor, then searching afterwards, but it doesn't trigger. Maybe if I skip ahead the questline will update on its own; otherwise Rigmor may just end up a follower. Hopefully no. Gonna check the videos.

      Anybody looking for a walkthrough for this awesome mod, I HIGHLY recommend George from Zero Period Productions on YouTube. He has video playthroughs for tons of mods, and he is so funny and entertaining.

    Fantastic Quest Mod so far! Downloaded it a while ago & never got around to playing it before I wiped my modlist, though with my current "True Dragonborn" walkthrough it fits in so well with being the "Protector" & "Guardian" titles. Though I am currently stagnant due to the quest "Awakening" not starting after "The Promise," at first, I believed I had to venture out to get the newer quest until watching a walkthrough made me realize I was turning in circles since the quest should have immediately begun. So as of now I stand in Fort High Rock with Azura's Bane awaiting-

      Please explain the actual events and last things that happened before you became stuck. This will help us tell you what might be missed or need to happen next.

      If I remember correctly, you spoke with Azura? Then, grabbed the sword? What's the most recent journal entry?

      Usually, issues are caused by a missed dialogue with someone, or an NPC not back in place.

    Question, I see Wind-District Breezehome on the incompatible mod list what about Wind-District Breezehome - reborn? I currently don't have Reborn in my mod list but would like to use it if it is not going to cause problems.

      Probably yes. As this mod interacts with Breezehome, any mod that changes Breezehome will be affected or affect this one.

      Any mod that adds to or repaces places can affect ROB or ROC, especially if it changes the cell Breeze Home occupies or the exterior /interior, especially if you were to try entering the home... Best to stay away from it until there is proof it doesn't affect Rob or Roc...

    I need some help, in the quest where you visit riften and have the option to buy a dress for Rigmor, I'm not able to because Brand Shei is in jail from Brynjolf's quest.

    Have had issues on thus run though, I normally have issues with or without followers with the spiders in the diamond mind area, one I kill all the spiders and rats no issues, It will cause a CTD, and looks like a shading issue, possible conflict creatures is the inly thing I can see right of the bat that cauld be causing issues like this, I have see the issue in the open area with this same mod. this happened no mater what version od shyrim I was using.

      We do know there's an issue under Diamond Ridge. It's best not to go into that side tunnel with the water, as the CTD tends to happen when you turn around.

      For your new issue, can you explain this is happening? What are you doing exactly when it happens.

      I get the horse and fast travel to angis camp, go through the dialog to get everyone to mount their horses and when you mount it ctd, side note, I reinstalled the mod, ran loot and did not once crash in Dimond mine, I am beginning to wonder if it was just a gad instill, when Skyrim upgraded I just disabled and reactivated instead of removing from profile and install, which I normally do. so I didn't get a CTD in the Dimond mine this time. I am almost of the part where I need to get sorella's horse which was where it started to have issues. I will keep you posted if I have any issues.

      One other thing, it seems that faster hdt-smp was listed in the error report as well if that even makes a difference.

      Ok it worked without issue, It looks like it was a bad install of the mod, If I do see any issue in the future I will relay it back to you and your mod is one of the few I done see any problems out of and it would not surprise me if it was all these BS updates from Bethesda that isn't causing most of my issues lol.  

      There was one issue, while riding the horse I  hit the horse and it become aggressive and stated to attack when I dismounted, I was swinging at an enemy when this happened.  First time that has ever happened on any horse my PC rode.

      Cant wait until the third part!!

      Yes, that was a known problem as several versions had problems... It was updated a while back... I would recommend you upgrade if you haven't recently...it's up to version 2.4 now...anything starting after version 1.49.3 should be OK...
      Be aware that running physics on your character's hair, armor, capes, etc. can cause problems including CTD...If you run anything like Capes of Skyrim that give physics to all armies capes, can really cause problems... To help and even fix most of the time, I use SMP-FIX which resets the physics during gameplay. SMP-FIXER it has a configurable keybinder in the MCM to map to the keys you want ( I picked the Numpad, -,+ and zero.

      You can tell if it's a physics problem if your game play starts to stutter, or FPS starts to drop...when that happens...you can reset the engine a it will help a lot!

    Incompatibilities:

    • Redcap follower mod: Redcap is locked in the cellar of Anise's cabin and freeing him results in Anise's death. A simple fix is to do the Rigmor quest first to get the stuff from the cabin. Let Rigmor recover and become a follower. Then free Redcap.
    • Bjorn follower mod: I forgot the name of the Rigmor quest where Yngol Storm-blade goes near Narzulbur to check his men. There is a ruined settlement named Nordholm near Narzulbur. Yngol on horse gets stuck there blocking his path. Use the command "moveto player" near dead bodies both him and his horse till there is a patch or a fix comes.

      Thanks. I'll add them to the list.

      However, 1) shouldn't be a problem. Anise is irrelevant for the quest. You only need to pick up the stuff from her cabin, it doesn't matter if you talk to her or if you can't because she's dead.

      No problem. The thing I liked both in Bruma and Cyrodiil is that once the story is complete everything is restored to its original state. When Yngol became Jarl and Cyrodiil is story is complete. The original Jarl comes back and resumes his duty, whichever the side is taken during the Civil War. Soldiers from both the Imperial camp and Stormcloak camp move on. Camp at Whiterun is packed up. Saves some framerate. Most mods when is concluded it just leave there and it was a hassle to remove them via command or Jaxon Positioner mod. Can I ask is there a tutorial to create an Angi replacer patch for Bruma via XEdit? I have this mod Kalilies NPCs but the Bruma version restores Angi to its original appearance.

      As mentioned, issue 1 isn't an incompatibility, since Anise isn't needed.

      For the Angie replacer, I don't know of a tutorial to use xedit to move the head parts (if needed) and facegen around. You'd need to google for one. Other replacers do work. You could also try loading Kalilies lower than RoB.

      I follow NPCs or the quest journal instructed to in case I don't bug the quest because of how Rose warned me not to go into the cellar. I thought I might break the quest progression. I coincidentally found a tutorial on Improved Follower Dialogue: Lydia's comment page by the author. I will try sometime later. Thanks! 👍

    Did Malesan hint at an alternate route to the top of the cliff when near the Markarth stable during Scourge quest? Once I reached at the top of the cliff and saw the hagraven camp at a distance. I recognise the location. On the way to Ragnvald instead of going straight to Nordic ruin turn left and head up we reach the same place that the first quest marker wants us to reach. That journey would have been much easier than doing the jumping platform and Skyrim jump platform mechanics isn't great. It tends to push back instead of jumping over the ledge.

    The thing I loved about the Bruma is that most of the locations are "out of bounds" areas. Like I visited places in Skyrim that I never thought I could able to reach there. Blacklight tower, Azura shrine, Diamond ridge.

      I don't think so. It is recommended to follow the "official" hints, like quest markers, descriptions and cairns. Sometimes there are triggers along the way, and if you take short cuts or alternative ways, you might miss them and possibly break the quest.

    Phewww , some NPCs and quests bugs and incompatibilities with others mods.
    The voice of Rigmor's mother is younger than his child ^^ .

    This quest mod is good, story, characters, voice-acting (except the consistency of Siggun's voice), but it's not perfect.
    Nice work btw to all that contribute to create this.

      Just finished it, and that was a little laborious.
      The BIG problems are the triggers. Apart from that this is really good and that was really enjoyable to play it.
       
      Peoples, if you want a long quest adventure mod, just download it ! (And check compatible mods list)
      Edit: broke my save after uninstallation, be carefull.

    Okay... I know that you and Taurelin prefer that we find our way by repeatedly redoing scenes looking for dialogue and event triggers; I've done that. I have literally waded through the intimacy scene outside Whiterun 5 times, waiting for something to happen after she says, "Oh my Dragonborn" (or whatever the exact words are before the scene is supposed to fade to black; ... doesn't happen. She just repeats the scene from where I enter the tent. I keep double checking your videos to make sure I'm on track with dialogue and surroundings. That's not the problem; I figured out how to get the quest id, set the stage to 250, and it successfully completed "The Guardian". The reason I repeated the scene 5x was for the trigger in the next quest...).
    "The Lost Empress" questline has started. Everything thing is proceeding in sync with your video... except... she won't put the Hunter outfit on. At one point earlier, I had traded with her and given her a disguise to wear by taking her Rigmor outfit from her. The game created a duplicate set of armor in her inventory, so that when I went to trade again to remove the disguise, she auto-dressed into her Rigmor outfit. Now there doesn't seem to be any options to trade with her, and I am about to take a young woman clad in tiny underwear into a snow-covered encampment of Imperial soldiers so we can visit Casius... hardly seems immersive.
    Is there a simple fix? Possibly a code to initiate trading with her, or to add clothing to her inventory so she might be dressed appropriately. I'm certain advancing the quest will not get her to add any layers, and as I've already repeated the scenes 5x leading to this point, step by step, to get her to get dressed, I'm hoping you might offer something more effective than "keep trying".

    I don't want to be seen as someone bashing the mod for its bugginess. I wouldn't keep playing it if I wasn't certain it would be worth it. As I've said before, I played the original mod when first released in 1914, so I'm aware of all the great changes made to create a more exciting gameplay. I will admit that I'm sorry it won't be taking us back to the Bruma Mage's Guild. (Or so I assume; her parents were members of the Guild then; now the lore is that her father was a powerful military figure.) ... maybe I'm wrong? Again, thank you for all your great efforts. To anyone who has played the original, it shows.

      In order to get her dressed properly, you can use the following console commands:

      1) open console
      2) click on Rigmor so that  her ID shows.
      3) additem XXXXXXXX 1 
      4) equipitem XXXXXXXX 1

      (where XXXXXXXX is the ID of the item)

      I'm really trying to do this on my own. I found a set of console codes for removing/adding items to an npc. I used them to give her fur armor and a college hood. Nothing happens. but when I click on her and use 'showinventory', I get this:

      I tried using the code listed after "B.E.id" but again, nothing happens. I'm sure there's a trigger for her to redress but it's not apparent from the video. She warms herself by the fire (which seems perfectly natural when nearly naked) as we talk but remains as is when we get on the horses. At this point, I'm tempted to use CC to end "The Guardian" questline before she goes into the tent so she'll be set for the next one. Any ideas will be gratefully appreciated.
