This mod doesn't include the ice cave wall textures but they are important to how well the ground in ice caves blends in with the walls — which is already affected by this mod. I don't think any other mod gets these seams quite right, because bethesda did a poor job with the decals that cover the seams. They are all flat on the top, creating a perfectly linear seam unless you use a texture that looks almost identical to the ice cave wall texture. So you probably will have visible seams in the ice walls unless you use textures that look a lot like the ones I used when I did the decal textures.
I'm personally using "Ice Cave Parallax Improved" by linnbrown, along with the ice cave textures from Skyrim 2020 version 2.8 by Pfuscher. I think those particular ice cave wall textures in the latest version of that mod (3.5 as of this writing) are the same. The new ice cave ground material and snow trim (really more of an ice melt decal) were made specifically to blend with those wall textures (icecavewall, icefrozen, icefrozenalpha01, icecavesubsurfacetint) which are actually very similar in color to the vanilla textures. So any textures that stick to the average h/s/l of the vanilla textures will probably blend okay. As for the multilayer parallax ice cave wall meshes, I think you can use others (or the vanilla meshes) without any visual seams but I haven't tested with anything else.
So I would basically suggest you use the same ones I'm using, or just don't bother complaining if you see a seam. Covering all the ice cave meshes and textures is way outside of this mod's scope (only including cavebaseground02 due to absolute necessity) and unfortunately I can't make these few cliff-related textures work for every possible retexture people might have. Keep in mind even with vanilla textures there is still a visible seam just above where the ground meets the ice walls. If you use this mod along with the texture packs I suggested, it improves that vanilla seam as much as possible without redoing all the UV maps for all the ice wall meshes. But it's still there — you can see it in the latest images.
If you see anything unusual that isn't present in a completely vanilla game then let me know in the comments
Alright, late to the show on this, but I love this mod. However, I have these blue/purple textures I think are suppose to be roots. I read the description, and apparently I need the roots from LHmods.com. I did discover that there was some drama and now his mods are down, and I also cannot access the website. Do you know what could possible cause the blue/purple roots or how to get rid of them?
Easily the best cliffs on the nexus. Any chance of a version that completely removes the roots. Think it could help with fps a notch. I might just dig into this with and make a compatibility patch for this and No dirt cliff roots. If im successful can i post it to the nexus.
I'm not sure what kind of magician you are cthunsthrall. But your mod solved my purple missing textures in bloodchill cavern problem. It's been plaguing me for months... https://imgur.com/a/4tZzYu2 is the imgur link. There's a bunch of photos in here but I'll post the end result which is this. I'm very thankful your mod is still up and I was able to fix this just like so. I only checked the top part but I'll go underwater and see if the underwater missing parts got fixed as well.
I am hoping for you to give permissions to lux though, I can go ahead and write a message Lux's page if you want me to as this has conflicts with lux as well as parallax gen. Checked underwater it's also fixed. The 2K version seems a bit low resolution but I'm happy with the fix!
Might be a dumb question... I'm new at this... But how do you get the plant/ivy hanging over the cliff like in this mod's pictures? I tried roots to ivy by pfuscher and it doesn't look the same? Any idea what mod adds that? Thanks
EDIT: GGUNIT (creator of Lux) already tried to reach out to cthunsthrall but did not get any answer. SInce this mod is closed source, we probably won't get any patches. Probably gonna uninstall it then.
I was just comparing Meshes of my LO , and i didnt see any visual loss by just letting Assorted Mesh Fixes , Simplicity of Snow and Landscape and Water Fixes overwrite this mod. I still wished this would have Parallax tho.
I don't make mods for skyrim anymore and have pretty much forgotten how, so I can't make more patches. Sorry.
closed source
I don't think that word means what you think it means. The mod is just images and meshes, there is no compile step. All resources are included in the download package.
I noticed when comparing meshes with my landscape mod that there are 2 meshes that aren't covered by this mod and wondering if you might be able to take a look - I love these so much! <3
It's been a long time since I modded Skyrim so I don't have any memory, but if they're not included here and they are included in the base game or SMIM, it means the meshes don't have a UV map issue. The only reason meshes are included in this mod is because of UV map issues. Otherwise, it's just a texture mod.

I really like your mod and would like to know if you could possibly allow gavwhittaker to patch the textures to add them to BENDr?
He agreed to generate them but may have forgotten
