    Haze Weathers 2 released!
An advanced improvement with cinematic adjustments, more exterior and interior sound effects, fixed precipitation weathers, lighting and light sources, horizon coloring +more.

Unlike the previous version which depended heavily on its ENB and ReShade, this new version can be used standalone, only with the ENB, or only with the ReShade.

Here is a summary of the changes:
    - Fixed all the sound effects.
    - Added more exterior sound effects (thunder, wind, etc.).
    - Added interior sound effects (rain, thunder, wind, etc.).
    - Fixed rain and snow textures to be more visible.
    - Fixed precipitation weathers.
    - Fixed light sources.
    - Fixed weather lighting.
    - Fixed horizon coloring.
    - Fixed bugged clear weather.
    - Fixed snow and rain skin shader overlays.
    - Fixed snow and ash particle effects falling from characters.
    - Redone the ENB. Now it's more vibrant and fantasy like.
    - Redone the ReShade. Now it looks more like an ENB and can be used standalone.
    - Added MCM options to change Cinematic settings.
    - Added Enhancer (MCM on/off option). Enhances overall contrast for a more dramatic image.
    - Fixed snow and ash particle effects falling from characters
    - Added more accumulated snow on dead NPCs and animals while it's snowing

With Haze Weathers 2 now being released, this mod here is considered done and will receive no more support or updates.
This doesn't mean you should abandon using it if you like it. It still is one of the most beautiful mods of its kind.
Haze Weathers 2 is a different take on the subject, it doesn't mean it's a better one.

Haze Weathers 2's ENB and ReShade can be used with Haze Weathers 1. But only one or the other. They are not meant to be used together.
Haze Weathers 2's ENB is a more vivid ENB and is the answer to all who find Haze Weathers 1's ENB a bit washed out.

    New version is up:

    • Added some more weathers for better compatibility with ELFX
    • Added light source changes from my newest mod Haze Lights

That means that you will get more immersive light sources. The version included here is Haze Lights:
Changes light sources to feel more natural, adds shadow casting to some who needed it, and strengthens the duration and light of torches and
    magelight/candlelight.

Hi! Thank u for amazing weather mod. May be u can help me to solve 2 issues with it: 1) new thunder and rain sounds are way too loud over everything else even deep inside nordic ruins. I can't fix this with in game sound control. I don't use any sound or global replacer mods, just new textures, meshes and animations. Is there way to fix only thonder souns specifically?
    2) I've also tryed to add lux, but with haze ENB (full quality version) interiors are very dark, I barely can see even if there is a fireplace nearby. I changed DirectLightIntensityInterior and AmbientLightingInterior in ENB's weather window (only for sunny day/night for testing, didin't change dawn etc.), cuz I thought that lux and haze have specific preferences for each weather. I tested changes for a while and then noticed that all skin become bronze - doesn't matter on which time of the day nor weather. Surprizingly I couldn't open weather window in ENB helper again - it says there is no weather to adjust. In previous game savings, where I didn't touch ENB settings everything is OK - weather window is full. I've reinstalled all enb part of the mod with update fixes, but it didn't help and I'm completely puzzled. How could only last saves be corrupted if ini files are unmodified? I'm using MO2 btw...

Hi I'm a VR user as well and I appreciate your support for other VR users! Since you've taken inspiration from vivid weathers, and you seem like a perfectionist modder, I'd suggest incorporating the 3D rain and snow effects of VW, which is what keeps me from using other weather mods. That will look great in SE too.

Basically, when it rains or snows, most weather mods and vanilla skyrim apply a 2D GIF of raining or snowing onto the camera, faking the effect. Instead of using this, VW adds 3d snow and rain particles independent to the camera movement. This has two advantages:

    1. snowflake next to a light source is more visible than snow in the dark due to the particle being lit up. This makes snowy nights in Nothern Skyrim incredibly atmospheric

    2. You can feel the relative motion of raindrops&snowflakes. When you walk forwards on a rainy day, you feel the raindrops hitting your face, and vice versa. When you turn your head rapidly, you won't feel the inconsistency in rain&snow animations, because there are no animations at all.

In addition, I love the wet effect in this weather. It'll be even better if you add the rain ripple effect like wonders of weather but most make it more consistent with this weather's own rain texture. Vivid weathers also has a ripple effect but on water surfaces. Currently, I'm using them both, and I hate the inconsistency. I'll be thrilled if you have those integrated in this already awesome weather mod.

[Edit]Just found out it's finished... If you are working on a new weather by any chance, I would strongly recommend those features. They're the reason I'm sticking to vivid weathers.

Man, this might make me change from Rudy and cath since i love your reshade already, but is it compatible with lux? And i would also guess it would pair perfectly with your Landscape overhaul, right?

Yes, it's been tested with Lux and it's the lighting mod I use currently. It plays perfectly well with it. And with my Landscape overhaul, of course.

what a great weather mod and many thanks to the  hard work u put in.   If possible with haze weathers 2 can u make it fully compatible with r a s s . as i think that mod is brilliant and would combine with with yours.

I have to say, running Skyrim VR, this is WITHOUT a doubt the best weather mod! You even included the impossible for VR (TrueDraconis Mod, which doesn't work on VR due to the dll required), you include a snowy, Wet, Ash, raindrop effect and without ENB (ENB totally destroys the VR min 80 FPS), adjustable weather events based on seasons too... OMG, just incredible!

If there is any improvement to be made, there is only 2 things on my wish list for this mod and that is 2 features of Vivid Weathers (what this replaced).
    1. I absolutely adore VW's feature to change lighting for indoors and outdoors, because I love playing as realistic as possible and night time is well, nighttime... pitch black except for the fires, torches  and candles producing some light, while indoors and brighter due to the fact that light will be reflected indoors and produce a brighter look.

    2. I also like VW ability to customize the Sat, contrast, bloom, sun and moon brightness. I personally like a vivid color range where the colors "pop".

At the moment I am running both VW 1st and Haze 2nd (MO2 load order), and it seems functional, but keeping a consistent 80 FPS on my Rift-S is critical for a playable experience and I worry I'm over working my game needlessly.

If you know how (technically) to incorporate those 2 features, I think it would make HAZE better than ever!

PS. I would be a willing subject for beta testing any version for VR usage if needed.

    Gear:
    i9-9900k @ 4.9Ghz
    32Gb 3200
    1 TB NVME game drive
    RTX 2080 8Gb (no overclocking)
    Rift-S res 1504x1616 (Performance mode)
    Game SS @ 2.0, Steam SS 100%  w/ avg FPS 79.8
    and 200 mods with 125 ESM/ESPs!

Hey, thanks, I didn't know this looks good in VR too! The darkness is achieved through ENB in this mod. Can you use ReShade, which is much more lighter than ENB? I have a ReShade in the works which does exactly that: makes lights and shadows much more prominent, nights are dark and lights are important. Specifically made for Haze Weathers, to replace the ENB. It'd be good if you could use it.

As for your other suggestion for customization of saturation, contrast, etc. I'll look into it, yes.

Unfortunately ReShade will not work in VR due to the dll just like the mod from TrueDraconis. ENB has a code train for VR (currently @ 4.10) but still makes it very hard to push graphics to 2 screens (left and right) and at a consistent 80 FPS... I think is one thing most modders that don't have VR misunderstand about the raw power needed to bring Skyrim VR to lifelike visuals without FPS loss... I am hoping when i get my RTX 3080, i will be able to use ENB and the effects while keeping 80 FPS, but that's prolly gonna be next year... LOL

If you do end up getting the color changes added, there is a alt Mod to make nights darker called "Darker Nights" and it works fine.

Looking forward to your next update!

Just here to say I'd also love that the mod (without reshade or ENB) can have realistic nights. My PC can't handle ENB nor ReShade, so that's not an option for me.
If that's not possible or you're not interested, it's okay, just a wish.

Thank you for mod. Very complete work on weather. How to make enb clearer, less gloomy, more contrasting and natural. What parameters should i change?

Open the ENB menu, open ENBEFFECT.FX and there you will find settings for Day, Night and Interior. You can also enable postprocess but then you'll have to make adjustments to the ENBPOSTPROCESS.FX because I haven't tweaked it for Haze Weathers.

Thanks. I found out that bloom and its contrasts make a veil that I do not like. But with an increase in contrast of bloom, the fire starts to glitch with flashes. I also wanted to know if it was possible to correct the green color of the sky at sunset (some kind of weather parameter in esp or where it comes from?). I also found that there is a very pale light from the windows outside at night, which can be corrected by setting IgnoreWeatherSystem in the window settings in ENB.

It's better if you disable bloom if it bothers you. The color of the sky depends on the weather, I don't know about what green color you mean. The ENB also has its own color temperatures. In anyway, you won't be able to change the colors easily. There is a Game Color Correction in the ENBEFFECT.FX menu, check that.

Ah, that comes from the ENB and it's something that I'm working on fixing in the new version. I don't think you can reduce the green tone with the current ENB.

I think that ENB also enhances the green effect, because without ENB the color is also a little yellow-greenish.

Hey grvulture, thank you for all of your efforts...really, this is a masterpiece. One of the most complete weather mod and its a shame it has only 220 endorsements.

I'm using the enb only version and I've noticed that the ambient occlusion is off by default so, should I turn it on or should I use the engine ambient occlusion?

Another thing, how can I increase the overall lighting during the day? Because it seems to be a bit washed out on my monitor.

    :)

It is a bit washed out. I'm working on a new version that will be more vivid. What you can do at the current version is open the ENB menu, open ENBEFFECT.FX and there you will find Brightness settings for Day, Night and Interior. You can add some brightness from there. There you will also find Saturation setting. You can increase that too if needed.

You can enable AO if you want, I don't remember why I've left it off... In the new version AO will be off because I will be using Marty McFly's MXAO bundled with DOF which is much better, but for now you can enable enb's AO. I think I had my reasons to leave it off, but I can't remember anymore, so try it.

Installed this using the only-enb-option. A little bit washed out day time and the nights totally dark, even with torches.

Decided to change weather mod completely, but then I decided to try it out with re-shade and max quality. Just for fun. Didn't think my computer would be able to handle it.

    It did, without issues.

Holy hell what a beautiful game it became.
