Raven, as a spell summon (it appears when summoned and sits on left shoulder, and it flies away during combat): RavenOnMyShoulder (SSE/AE)(yeah, it's this mod only)
Raven, as an equippable ring (can be given to followers so they can have the Raven as their own pet; it sits on the right shoulder when equipped, it doesn't fly away during combat): Raven On Your Shoulder - Mihail Version (it works in LE/Oldrim and SSE/AE too, so no conversion needed)
It would be even more awesome if someone can make a patch for Wraith-of-Crows : 1. When combat starts, the Raven should fly away and transform into this formidable Wraith-of-Crows. 2. During combat, the Wraith fights the enemies and supports the player character & allies. It would be great if the Wraith had a spell that allows to "throw" a Murder of Crows (flock of crows) to literally murder (pun intended) the enemy as a deadly attack, or has a flock of them flying around itself or player character as a noisy squawking "crows cloak & croak" spell to dispel enemies and boost the wraith or player character. 3. When combat ends, the Wraith transforms back into the Raven and returns to the player character's shoulder.
Excellent, thank you for this alternative. Raven On Your Shoulder - Mihail Version, even works like an armor piece, so it can be equipped (on right shoulder only) by player or follower, that's so cool!
I needed the Raven on the right shoulder, as that's where the Bandolier's pauldron is. It looked too odd to have the Raven sitting on my bare left shoulder, when the right pauldron would be a perfect perch for it instead.
It would be great if the raven on my shoulder alerted me about nearby enemies by: 1. tapping me on the shoulder if enemy is at a detectable range threshold (detection meter is white) 2. animated flapping of wings and loud squawks if enemy is too close or firing arrows or spells at me (detection meter is red)
Perhaps someone can mod this "Detect Enemy and Alert Host" ability for the Raven? It would be so cool!
Note : there is a related Detection Meter mod, that can be leveraged: SKSE Plugin that adds Ubisoft style detection meters for stealth.
Rhionna War-Raven loves her raven Hugin. Thank you very much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe-osS6imtc
But I've made some additions to it: -fly away when the torch is out(to prevent clipping) -yellow eyes -better raven texture -sound on start and land -random sounds on the shoulder(scrapped from Birds of Skyrim)
Are you interested in my sound script? If yes, you can find it under my video about how I added the sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXAy0wvCH5A
I like your changes to the raven and I appreciate the how to video on how you add the sound files from Birds of Skyrim. I am going to implement the changes when I download creation kit again. May I ask how did you have the raven fly away when a torch is out?
I made the same changes. I also renamed the lesser power to "Raven Call" and flagged the magic effects for having the raven summoned to be hidden in the UI.
Ok, before I download this I have a couple questions. First question: Is this only available for new saves, or can you get it in existing characters? Second question: Can you turn it off/on, or is it just always there for everyone? Third and final question: What does it actually do? Is it just visual or does it serve a purpose?
It's a power spell, you can activate or deactivate it instantly. It is purely visual and serves no other purpose. It's just a single, minor spell so it doesn't need a new save. It is instantly granted to your character after installing the mod.
I've been trying to change the eye color from the mesh. But i ended up messing up and caused it reset its position on my character's feet. Any idea on how I could change its eye color?

I found out that this mod works fine as-is for 1.6.1170: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/114531
With both mods in my load order it is possible to have ravens on both shoulders. Rrawwk, I mean, neato.
FYI - this mod and the one I linked should be safe to add/remove at any point.

thank you
Please add your changes as a new mod.
Oh and flyinf away once combat start and back once its finished would also be amazing.
EDIT: ok so i removed the lines concerned in SSedit under the spell section and it's ok! Works everytime now :)
Spell>Section Condtions>Subject.IsSneaking
Subject.IsWeaponOut
Subject.IsWeaponMagicOut
Just right click and remove them.

Lastly it's pretty cool so it's kinda worth it.
