  • This mod is a compilation of my Crows (LE/SE-AE) and Ravens (LE/SE-AE) mods. If you use these 2 mods, by downloading this new file you will be able to delete these 2 esps, thus saving space in your load order;
  • Obviously you should not use this mod together with the 2 mentioned above, since they are already compiled in this new file, and using them at the same time will double the amount of these creatures in your game, in addition to other possible problems;

  • If you use, like and value my work, please consider giving an endorsement. I've worked hard for years to offer you the best of me for free, and the only thing I ask in return is this gesture, which increases my relevance and engagement on Nexus, and motivates me to continue;
  • I do not inspect or have any influence over translations of my mods (including those linked directly on my pages), nor do I have any power over patches or add-ons made to my content. So, before using any unofficial add-ons for my mods, make sure they conform to the latest version of my official release, and never use these if they don't. The same applies to Xbox ports;
  • In addition to the Nexus, you can also find me on:

Crows and Ravens now in one esp. Give an air of medieval gothic fantasy to your world with these birds of exuberant black plumage and curious temperament.

From Crows page:

"Curious birds with exuberant black plumage, crows are docile and fearless animals, enjoying living close to human civilizations for their own benefit, feeding on leftovers left by their inhabitants. They are animals with a preference for cold, cloudy locations, populating mainly the cities at the north of Skyrim such as Dawnstar and Windhelm, building their nests and resting on top of roofs and other tall structures. They also populate Morthal, scouring its fog-filled marshes in search for food, especially any eventual carcass, be it animal or person.

They are commonly associated with witches, and indeed often used by them as messenger animals, and there are also reports of witches capable of turning into crows. Crows were chased away from Winterhold by the College of Magic because the mages feared that some of the crows could be spies for dark magical organizations, or even transformed witches."

From Ravens page:

"Ravens are the larger cousins of Crows, and share with them the keen intelligence, curiosity and mischievous behavior. Opportunists, they tend to live in regions inhabited by humans, feeding on their leftovers. They also do not spare small animals, or the crops, thus being considered pests by some farmers. However, unlike common Crows, Ravens prefer rural, less urbanized regions, being more often seen in villages and farms, rather than densely populated cities. Therefore, they are a more common sighting in southern Skyrim, where rural areas are more common and productive, and where Ravens don't spare anything, from the farmer's corn cob to the eventual carcass of a dead calf.

They are very curious about shiny objects, enjoying stealing gold and jewelry from houses. Like other corvids, they are also associated by many with witches, being seen with some prejudice by part of the population. Raven Rock, and Solstheim in general, has a sizeable population, with some scholars attributing to this fact the name of the city now inhabited by the Dunmer, although the most accepted version is that the name was given to the city due to the ebony minerals present in the region."

Technical info:
This mod adds Crows and Ravens in two separated ways: 1- The npc Crows and Ravens that walk on the ground and roofs. They can be killed and have their feathers looted and used for alchemy. These only occur within the city of Windhelm and Riften, respectively.  2- The other Crows and Ravens are animated objects, which move part of the bodies (heads and necks), and are positioned, in Ravens case, on top of buildings, poles and rocks, and occur in the South and Central areas of Skyrim, and Solstheim, and on Crows case, on top of buildings and trees, and occur in Dawnstar, Morthal and its marshes, Hagravens' nests, also on Windhelm, and some other places.

Since it is impossible (except rare cases) to place npcs on top of trees, roofs, on top of ruins or on statues, the "animated object crows and ravens" were absolutely necessary. Also for several reasons of applicability, "animated object crows and ravens" cannot be killed or interacted.

One last detail: due to the havok of some objects and its buggy skyrim settings, eventually some of the structures made by hagravens with bone and deer horns may fall, leaving one or another crow floating in the air. This is a vanilla bug, and even without the mod installed, half of the structure falls off leaving the other half floating sometimes, so there is nothing that can be done, although it is something very rare.

- 2 new creatures: Crow and Raven (in "actor" and "animated object" variants);

- 2 new ingredients: Raven Feathers and Crow Feathers.

So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.
