- Added texture choices for these textures: subsurface, normals, parallax.
- << this means that you can combine what feels best for you from the limited selection.
- Revamped the page, made a bunch of photos, created a FOMOD.
Version 4.2.2.5
From Rudy102: - Moved all shaders to the meshes from Skyrim SE (BSTrishape), some are from USLEEP. I don't know if you did any other, maybe UV changes, to nifs.
- Fixed white alpha channel in "glacierslab01_n.dds", glacierslab01_n.dds and water_floes_n.dds. No more white spots with ENB, Unfortunarelly it didn't fixed this "bug" in the game. But as mentioned before, i don't have access to uncompressed versions. (Neither do I -Laeris)
- Removed a few textures, steveo, ice_rubble, icefloes_p, after my changes they are no longer used.
- Removed "icebergsmall01_anim.nif" and "icebergsmall02_anim.nif", I didn't find them in the meshes from the game. (These allowed a bobbing effect on some smaller glaciers)
- New textures for icefloes, source free PBR texture.
- Fixed wrong shaders and bad links to the cube map in "glacierrubbletrim02.nif", "glaciertrim01.nif", "glaciertrim02.nif" and "icepiles04.nif"
- In "glacierrubbletrim01.nif", "glacierrubbletrim02.nif", "glacierrubbletrim03.nif" changed shaders and textures for the "RockSkirt" part of the mesh, now it uses Mulilayer Parallax shader with alpha blending enabled, This effect can be seen at the beginning of my video. Slight brightness problems in shaded places. (Video in videos tab)
- Did the same for part of the mesh in "icepilel02.nif", Unfortunately in "icepilel03.nif", "icepilem02.nif" are holes, so Mulilayer Parallax without blending.
- For all the ice floes increased Parallax Inner Layer Thickness, I know it's unrealistic, but the effect is more visible, which is why I also added frozen marsh ice nifs.
- I changed, just a little, to more blue, the color in glacier_b.dds.
Version 4.2.2.4
-Adjusted specular
-New collision for glaciertrim01, also made refractive part a little smaller
-Added backlight and two textures. One is darker than the other and is used on smaller bodies of ice
Description
Glacierslab is an ice replacement mod by lucidstorm1. Currently maintained by Bionic.
I've been given permission to revive this mod into more up to date look. However the maintenance I've done is not just a simple tweak, but instead a remaster of the original.
I've been working for a good while towards creating a reimagination of how the original looked. And now I'm finally able to release the first update for it. Keep in mind though that this will be more of a beta release for now, it will receive a number of additional updates over time. I might expand into frozenmarsh/DLC2/DLC1 with the future updates.
If you're using Community Shaders, make sure to use Vanilla HDR. This mod should 'reduce' the Vanilla bug which causes textures to become overly bright.
Other notes for 5.0.0
I'm open to feedback as I haven't had the time to fully test as much as I wanted. Though it covers the exact same amount as the original mod.
From the testing I have done, I have noticed that certain ENBs may look strange or not as in pictures. But it looked arguably the best with this ENB setup.
I've added a number of customization options to choose from. This includes subsurface, parallax, normals textures.
Personally they all look good to me so I decided to include them.
In a future update, I want to revise a few meshes and optimize them a bit more for performance. Also maybe some UV improvements if possible.
