Is it too difficult for an average user to make a patch for two separate mods? Yes I'm talking about this mod and JK's Solitude Outskirts; I have tried lots of home mods but nothing is like this one and I've seen that after some time apparently nobody is even near to make the patch nor this mod has gotten an update. Can I do it without knowing one thing about modding or must I go through the whole career path to get there?
Here I go in Skyrim again for the .. third? fourth? .. time. I wanted something different as my home base this time around and found this little gem. I love that it's open to the outside, it's simple but covers all the basic needs, and it's not a "cookie-cutter" house that looks just like a dozen other house mods.
The only thing I would add is a functional planter or two under the front window. (Yes, I know there are mods that I could use... tried one but there were issues so I gave up.)
It looks like when you use this with JK's Solitude Outskirts, the place gets overlapped by an extra bridge from JK's mod. The home is still there but it's inside the bridge. To make a patch for that would be to move the home out to the open from inside the bridge, which I have no idea how to do lol. If someone knows how to do it, it would be appreciated.
The Solitude Expansion+Harborside combo doesn't work. I moved them and the patches as low as possible down my load order but depending on which one override the other, I'll either have the rock wall blocking the stairs on SExpansion or a rock clipping into Harborside :"
That mod / its dependencies don't work. There is a lot of discussion around it both on the mod page and on the main campfire page. It hasnt worked in years, I know, I keep trying. But its abandoned :(
I have to say this is a perfect followers home for a base of operations.. If those beds in the smoke filled basement are for followers. I think removing the smelter firstly would allow to change up a few things and allow for another bed or 2, and get rid of a pet peeve of mine, not smelting in the house. I love the idea of it being a no loading door mod and its super simplistic. Its definitely made for followers as I wouldnt be sleeping there, I have proudspire and springwood inside Solitude.. Id leave Inigo, Kaiden, and Lucien there for weeks on end, pick them up when I feel like being claustrophobic and pinned in to doorways and small rooms...lol
Have you thought about adding a escape hatch that leads to a secluded area inside solitude, such as a manhole cover to look like a sewer entrance, but not? Likely near Radiant Raiments or windmill?
Use NFF to set a mod-added home as home base, so your followers or family can stay there (as long as the place is fully navmeshed, and has beds and idle markers).

Use Placeable Statics and Jaxonz Positioner Converted to remove or move furniture.
Settlement Builder allows to craft beds, walls and other stuff.
Use Basic Camp Gear to drop some bedrolls at vacant corners - family or followers can use them.
Use a portal mod such as Shalidor's Migrant Portals SE to connect this house to Solitude using custom portals.
