I realise the number of patches available these days can be overwhelming at times. It's a lot to install, and can be a pain sorting them, especially when the order they are loaded in can be key. Despite that I was pleased to see how many were available these days, because they save me time. I was also pleased to see more obscure or specific ones were now been released, many of which come from patches people have made whilst patching their own game.

So I've decided to release some I made for mine. When I patch my mod lists, I normally create patches which cover a whole category, such as Animal, and Creature patch, and forward all edits made by those type of mods into it. This time, I decided to make individual patches for any conflicts between specific mods. It ended up totalling around 700 patches, all of which were in addition to the patches currently available on the Nexus.

I'm not going to release them all, just ones I think others will find useful. Many are fairly minor, and not using them won't break your game, but many have more significance. Some might fix a water seam, the position of some furniture, or combine edits to an NPC made by several mods.

Some are load order based, because any mod with an ESM, ESL or ESP flagged as an ESM will be loaded first, and any mod which includes the same record even in its vanilla form, will remove the edits made by the ESM. Many patch persistent flags, or location records. Some are patches for patches.

In the end of the day it's up to you how much effort you want to put in to modding your game. I do think that some issues people encounter are caused by these smaller conflicts. I started patching my games this way several years ago now, and since i have, my games have been incredibly stable, with all mods working as they should.

I once came across someone saying they didn't use Lux because of all the patches needed for it. They even said they used another lighting mod because it doesn't require as many, but then someone pointed out that the lighting mod they had chosen does need that many patches, they just don't exist.

Some Patches For Better Vampires and Better Vampire Lords

BetterVampires KingPriest Patch - King Priest makes Miraak stronger, and Better Vamps gives them a special blood potion. It will conflict if you use a mod which edits Miraak's appearance.

BetterVamps JK CastleVolkihar Patch - JK Castle Volkihar moves a book which BV adds a Persistent Flag to. This patch combines those edits.

BetterVamps JK CollegeWinterhold Patch - JK COW moves a book which BV adds a Persistent Flag to. This patch combines those edits.

BetterVamps MLU Patch - MLU makes Harkon, and the Reikling Chief stronger, and BV adds special blood potions to them. This patch combines those edits. It will conflict with mods which change Harkons appearance.

BetterVamps Sunhelm Patch - Sunhelm adds Conditions to cannibalism, and BV changes the term from feed to cannibalize. This patches those edits.

BetterVampLords BlockPoison Patch - Block Poison adds Conditions to Necrotic Talons, and BVL adds effects. This patch combines those edits.

BetterVampLords OldBlood Patch - Combines the Conditions added to Weakness to Sunlight by Old Blood, and the changes to Magnitude made by BVL.

BetterVampLords ISC Patch - Patches a sound change from Immersive Sounds Compendium with BVL edits to Drain Health. Also includes some USMP edits.

Some Patches for Diverse Werewolves

DiverseWerewolves MLU Patch - MLU makes werewolves stronger, and Diverse Werewolves adds a script. This patch combines those edits.

DiverseWerewolves MLU IWI Patch - Only affects the NPC Akar. Immersive Weapon Integration gives them a unique weapon. Load after the MLU patch.

DiverseWerewolves SDA Patch - Serana Dialogue Overhaul adds an Alias Script to the quest Filial Bonds, and DW modifies a vanilla one. This patch combines those edits.

Misc Animal and Creature Patches

EpicDragonCombatRedone DeadlySpellImpacts Patch - Both mods edit different Flames Barrier Impacts, but on the same record. This patch combines those edits.

EpicDragonCombatRedone NFFnoFriendlyDamage Patch - Combines the edits from Nethers Follower Framework No Team Magic Damage plugin for Drain Vitality, with the edits made by Epic Dragon Combat Redone.

MLU DeadlyDragonLairs Patch - MLU Encounter Zone additions with some position changes of a few objects, and NPCs from DDL.

DefeatDragonCult MLU DeadlyDragonLairs Patch - MLU add a Encounter Zone to a recorded edited by Defeat the Dragon Cult. The latter also edits one of the records from the previous patch by adding a Persistent Flag to an NPC. Load this after the MLU DeadlyDragonLairs Patch.

Birds AngryNords LvlList Patch - Combines the Level List for Ambient Creatures which both mods add to.

Skytest AngryNord LvlList Patch - Combines the edits to the Animal Canyon Prey, and Animal Mountain Snow Prey Level Lists.

CACO Otters LvlList Patch - Patches the raw meat Level List, which both mods edit.

CanisHysteria StendarRising CACO LvlList Patch - Combines the edits from all three mods to the Vigilant Book Level List.

ConvenientHorses Dawnguard Patch - Dawnguard adds several places to the Ridable World Spaces List. Convenient Horses includes some, and even adds Solstheim, but doesn't include The Forgotten Valley or Skuldafn World. I can't think of a reason why they would be excluded deliberately if allowed in the base game, so this patches it.

ConvenientHorses RDO Patch - Combines a script added to Stables by CH, and some conditions added by RDO.

KingPriest MLU LvlList Patch - Combines the edits made by both mods to Miraaks loot Level List.

MLU CannibalDraugr Patch - Combines the Encounter Zones added by MLU with the Draugr changes by Cannibal Draugrs to the Levelled Draugr records.

MortalEnemies HellishHounds Patch - Combines ME edits with a Skeleton edit from RogueShots Hellish Hounds.

MortalEnemies KingPriest Patch - Combines ME, and King Priests edits to the Dragon Priest Race Records.

MortalEnemies USMP Patch - USMP changes the names of several enemies also edited by ME.

SkyTest MortalEnemies Patch - Combines the Race edits made by both mods.

SkyTest MortalEnemies AOS Patch - Combines all three mods edits to the Horse Race. AOS is Audio Overhaul for Skyrim.

SensualHagravens USSEP Patch - Combine the Faction addition from USSEP with appearance change from Sensual Hagravens.

SkyTest HorseOverhaul Patch - Combines SkyTest edits with Horse Overhaul's Template, and Armor edits.

SkyTest USSEP USMP Patch - Combines the edits from all three mods, such as Death Items, and not reporting crime edits.

SkyTestEXT USMP MLU Patch - This is for the Creature Extension Addon. Combines the edits made by all three mods the Werebear records.

TrollsSEArmored MortalEnemiesPatch - Mortal Enemies patch for an addon of Trolls SE called My Armored Version of 4thUnknown's Trolls SE.

TrollVariance AngryNord Lvl List Patch - Combines the edits made to several Level List by both mods.

TrollVariance DeadlyDragonLairs Patch - DDL moves a Troll edited by the Troll Variance mod.

TrollVariance GrayWinterWatch Patch - Grey Winter Watch changes the position, and adds a reference to a Troll edited by Troll Variance.

TrollVariance GrayWinterWatch 3DNPC Patch - The same as the previous patch, except it includes another reference added by 3DNPC. Only use one patch.

Load Order

For the most part load order shouldn't matter providing they are blow the mods they are for, with the exception of:

DiverseWerewolves MLU IWI Patch should be below the DiverseWerewolves MLU Patch.

DefeatDragonCult MLU DeadlyDragonLairs Patch should be below the MLU DeadlyDragonLairs Patch.

SkyTest MortalEnemies AOS Patch should be below the SkyTest MortalEnemies Patch.

SkyTest MortalEnemies AOS Patch should be below SkyTest MortalEnemies Patch.

Thank you to the authors of the mods included in these patches
