About this mod
Reworks the Nightingale Powers into something you'd actually want to use.

The vanilla Nightingale powers, are very underwhelming. They're just recycled versions of existing spells with nothing unique to offer. Worse yet, by the time you unlock them, they're so weak that you never end up using them. In my decade of playing Skyrim, I don’t think I’ve used them more than once!
Enter Nightingale Powers Redone, where I've remade the Nightingale Powers into something you would actually want to use.

My Changes
I've restructured each power to fit a distinct role—utility, offense, or defense—so choosing which power to take feels more purposeful. Furthermore, since powers can only be used once a day, I’ve also made them significantly stronger to make that one use actually count.
○Agent of Stealth○
Vanilla Effect: You go invisible. yippee.
My Changes:
Role: Utility
New Effect: Shrouding yourself in a cloak weaved by Nocturnal's darkness, you distort the perception of those around you, causing them to forget any crime committed in the next 10 seconds.
Now, once per day, you can get away with any crime! By the end of the 10 seconds, any bounties you accrued will be reset to what they were before, and anyone you've aggroed will immediately calm down and act as if nothing happened. Importantly, this power can only be cast before combat has started. So you have to plan out when you want to use it.

●Agent of Strife●
Vanilla Effect: You absorb 100 points of health. SO OP! (if you're level 1).
My Changes:
Role: Offense
New Effect: Targets hit by the spell are paralyzed for 2 seconds and take Health, Stamina, and Magicka damage equal to the proportion of these attributes missing from the caster. The caster then absorbs half of the damage inflicted.
This changes the power into a high-risk, high-reward option—which I feel thematically suits thieves very well. If you want to get the most out of the power, you need to use it when you are near death. Regardless, even if you don't, it still Paralyzes—always an impactful effect. Furthermore, because the amount damage you can deal scales with your attributes, the power never becomes useless late-game.

Vanilla Effect: Frenzy any group of NPCs up to level 100. (This one's actually decent).
My Changes:
Role: Defense
New Effect:Targets hit by the spell are frenzied, attacking anyone nearby for 30 seconds. The caster's speed is increased by 20% and they become invulnerable for 30 seconds. Attacking or using a spell breaks the invulnerability.
The vanilla version of the power is actually usable—it’s the strongest frenzy effect in the game. Still, that was never enough to make me remember to use it. My change makes it into the ultimate "oh shit" button. On top of the vanilla effect, you now also become ethereal and gain increased move speed. With this power, you can make a break for it while your enemies fight it out.

Installation & Compatibility
Load NightingalePowersRedone.esp after anything that affects/changes the vanilla Nightingale powers —e.g. Artificer, maybe AOS/ISC (not sure if those sound mods change the original records), etc. If you don't want to think about it, just put my mod close to the end of your Load Order.
For Requiem users, Requiem.esp doesn't actually change the effects of the original powers (so they are hilariously even more useless), only making changes to their Editor IDs.
Therefore, my mod is 100% compatible with Requiem as long as you load NightingalePowersRedone.esp after Requiem.esp.
