Mod Overview

Requiem's Reqtificator is amazing and brilliantly coded. However, it has its limitations. In very large mod lists, it is almost inevitable to run into the Reqtificator's 254 master limit which, while manageable with workarounds, is tedious to get around.

Enter the Unofficial Reqtificator Lite, a synthesis patcher and SPID and KID configuration that mimics the functions of the Reqtificator, letting you reqtify mods easily and quickly without limitations.

Compatible with Requiem Versions 5.0.3 - 5.4.5 and the new 6.0.

Requirements

How it Works
I have recreated many of the functions of the Reqtifcator in Synthesis. In Specific: Perk & Spell Distribution, Keyword Distribution, Armor and Weapon Rebalancing, and Door/Container Patching. These functions alone are able to reqtify most mods.

Perks, Spells, and Keywords can be distributed either by the patcher itself or through SPID/KID.
By default the SPID/KID method is enabled. To distribute the old fashioned way, select "Disable SPID/KID Distribution. Attach Perks, Spells, and Keywords to actual records." in Synthesis. Note: The patcher will take longer to generate with this option enabled. Both methods have identical functionality, it is up to you what you would prefer.
More details on SPID/KID Distribution are below:

The patcher assigns the keywords ActorRFTIAlternative, ArmorRFTIAlternative, and WeaponRFTIAlternative based on record type.

Then the SPID and KID ini files in the download section distribute appropriate Perks, Spells, and Keywords (that relate to Requiem Mechanics) to records with the *RFTIAlternative keyword.

In-game, records patched through this method will have identical Perks, Spells, and Keywords to as to those patched with the official Reqtificator.

Additionally, support is built-in for the Perks and Spells from Requiem - Dragonborn , Requiem - Magic Redone, and Requiem - Weapons and Armors Redone. If one of the aforementioned mods is installed, the Reqtificator Lite will automatically detect them and distribute their mechanic related perks and spells appropriately. You do not need to do anything else. If there is another mod you want support added for, mention it in the comments section and I will see what I can do.

Customization Options
The Unofficial Reqtificator Lite is highly customizable within the Synthesis GUI. You can select what record types you do and do not want patched.

The Unofficial Reqtificator Lite has two modes for patching plugins:

Manual Patching
  • In manual selection mode, you specify which plugins you want patched in the "Target Mods" section in Synthesis.
  • This is the default patching mode.
Automatic Patching
  • In Automatic mode, you do not select specific plugins. Instead, You select one of the two AUTOMATIC options:
  • ****AUTO-PATCHING****: All plugins NOT in Requiem for the Indifferent.esp. When this option is enabled, all plugins that have not been patched in "Requiem for the Indifferent.esp" will be Reqtified.
  • ****AUTO-PATCHING****: All plugins NOT in ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt. When this option is enabled, all plugins that are not listed in "ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt" will be Reqtified. More details about using this option are below:

When enabled the Reqtificator lite will automatically patch any mod whose filename is NOT included in the .txt file, "ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt".

This txt file should be in your Skyrim/data/ folder or, if using mod organizer, in your overwrite/assigned synthesis output folder. If it is not there, simply create it or download and edit the example file provided in optional files.

The format for this .txt file is one plugin per line. (Again, see the optional files for an example.)

This feature is particularly useful for users adding mods to Requiem wabbajack lists/collections. You can just copy and paste the plugins in your mod pack's original loadorder.txt into ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt

Note: Patching with this feature enabled can take about 2-5 min to generate a plugin depending on how many plugins are in ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt. In later releases, this will be much faster. I just wanted to get the feature out today in the state it is as it is fully functional (if a little slow).

Getting Around the Master Limit
Another upside to my patcher is that it uses synthesis, meaning you can install multiple copies of it. So if you are ever getting close to the master limit on one of the generated plugins, you can just create a new group in synthesis and add a copy of unofficialReqtificatorLite to it. (This will result in a separate plugin being generated.)

Additionally the Reqtificator Lite will automatically detect and stop itself if the plugin it is about to generate is nearing the master limit. It will then save the plugin as-is. The user will then be prompted to create a new plugin in synthesis and the Reqtifcator lite will continue exactly where it left off.
  • When installing another copy of unofficialReqtificatorLite, make sure in the Synthesis search function to enable the "Installed" filter in the bottom left or the patcher will not show up when searched.
Additionally, if you want different ESPs generated for different record types, (another good way to get around the master limit), that is easy to do as well. See the third photo in the media section for an example of this method.

Important Things to Know (MUST READ BEFORE USE)

1. I have not implemented the more complex features of the Reqtifcator such as NPC creation from templates or the ability for it parse .conf files. This is why I dubbed my patcher 'lite".

  • Only a handful of mods make use of those features. (Like less than 10 in total I believe). Notably, Fozar's Dragonborn patch among others.
  • If you don't know which mods those are, a good rule of thumb to follow is that mods designed specifically for Requiem ( i.e. mods that don't even have a non-requiem version) should be patched with the official Reqtifcator.
  • For the 99.9% of other mods, my patcher can be used without issue.

2. Following the logic stated above, my patcher is not a complete replacement for the official Reqtificator. Therefore, a "Requiem for the Indifferent.esp" created by the official Reqtificator must be active in your load order before, during, and after patching. (Alternatively, if you need to create a new RFTI.esp, another way to use the rectificator light is, without an RFTI.esp enabled, selecting "****AUTO-PATCHING****: All plugins NOT in ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt." in the patcher with an empty ReqLite_IgnoreThesePlugins.txt. Then from there, select to patch only door/cont records. After that enable the esp created by synthesis, and then run the official reqtifcator. Because door/cont records are already patched they won't be added as masters. Depending on your modlist that may be enough.)

  • If you opt to use my patcher, you only need the official Reqtificator to create "Requiem for the Indifferent.esp" successfully once. I recommend that all mods that fit the 'Requiem Only' description I referred to earlier be patched by that esp. Keep it enabled, always.
  • After that, you can patch new mods with my Unofficial Reqtificator Lite instead of the official Reqtificator.

3.The Unofficial Reqtificator Lite is a niche tool that solves a niche problem. If you are unfamiliar with how the Reqtificator works or are not an experienced modder, you should not use this tool. The ideal use of this tool is for adding mods to a load order where Requiem for the Indifferent.esp's master limit has been reached.

If you have not hit the 254 master limit, do not use this tool. Use the official Reqtificator packaged with Requiem instead.

How to Use

1. Use your preferred mod manager to download and install the main file.
2. Enable RFTI_Alternative_Keyword.esp. Position in load order is irrelevant.
3. Install Synthesis if you do not already have it. Here is a guide to do so.
4. You can install the Patcher component of Unofficial Reqtificator Lite either directly through Synthesis or by using the .synth file available in the Files tab.

For installation via Synthesis follow these photos:

5. To run the patcher, first ensure that your configuration looks as follows:

6. Then, in settings tab, select the plugins and record types you want to be patched. Ensure mods are selected in the correct section.

7. Run the Patcher.

8. Enable the ESP created by the Patcher. Optionally, you can 'eslify' the .esp if desired.
