I'm not not sure if you are aware that you can remove the boards in game by taking the dagger out of the barrel in front of Warmaidens. Similarly there is another dagger found just inside the entrance, on the right, for the upper district. Removing them both will remove all the boards placed on the ground.
Taking the time in game to do even that is too much. Those planks are really dumb and should never have been added.
Apparently the creator of Lux mad a combined patch between Capital Whiterun Expansion and JK's Skyrim, and they had to include a 2k texture version because the planks were originally 4k. So not only did they screw up navigation, they bogged down graphics cards by taking up an unnecessary amount of vram.
Hello, somehow when I have your mod installed I get a ctd when I press "m" for the map. Only when I am in whiterun though. Outskirts and at the city wall is fine. I don't really know why.
I experienced this last year with regular Capital Whiterun Expansion, GGUnit's overhaul for it, and a bunch of eFPS stuff (including an eFPS patch for a Ryn mod north of whiterun). The map crash, as far as I'm aware, is caused by occlusion planes. Removing the eFPS stuff fixed it for me. eFPS can push you over the plane limit if you have a lot of mods that already add their own occlusion planes.
Having the same issue, disabling this mod stops the ctd's while opening the map inside whiterun, its really weird since this mod only removes clutter with BOS.
Hello, thank you for your replies. I didn't have time yet to figure out why it does that. I installed the Base Object Swapping mod beforehand, but I somehow still have that CTD. I'm going to try some different things and will report back.
My ctds stopped when i rerun Dyndolod and and removed Base Object Swapping - Master Occlusion, but still dont know if its related. I think rerunning Dyndolod was the fix.
I disabled the Base Object Swapping - Master Occlusion and my crashes upon opening the map in Whiterun stopped. And I kept my Dyndolod output and plugins active. So this is not a Dyndolod issue, imo.
Same problem, but the map crash only occurred in the Jorrvaskr training yard. Not using eFPS, but did have Base Object Swapping - Master Occlusion in my load order. Removing BOS - Master Occlusion solved the problem (without rerunning Dyndolod).
This issue is caused by having too many occlusion planes inside Whiterun, especially if you are using JK's Whiterun Outskirts. The easiest fix for this would be to open the Creation Kit and manually remove occlusion planes inside WhiterunWorld. I'm not sure what the BOS - Master Occlusion mod does, but if it affects/adds more occlusion planes in Whiterun then yes, it will cause the crash.
You can try this mod, it might help: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/119092
Guys! This is it. if you're having CTDs when opening the map or in certain zones of Whiterun: listen to Daemore. Open up Capital Whiterun Expansion as an active plugin in the Creation Kit, and open up the world cells of Whiterun on the world editor. In the object window below the editor select every PlaneMarker (AKA occlusion planes) and delete them. Save the plugin and check in game... No more CTDs when opening the map or randomly going around the town. It will cost a bit for your FPS in certain instances, but not as much as I thought.
Use this CK: Creation Kit Platform Extended If you're also using Dawn of Skyrim, you can instead try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/119092

There is also a mod patch to remove them here.

The mod Base Object Swapping - Master Occlusion is supposed to deal with this, I think?
