    Update 12th Feb.

    Hi everyone! I'm currently working on editing the meshes so they can be used for a Rain Extinguishes Fire patch. If you're interested in seeing what that looks like in Blender, take a look in the gallery :).

    I've updated the FLM patch to include support for Hunterborn's Primitive Cooking added by Mur4s4me. Please give them some kudos for their work! Also, I'm working with Shekhinaga on a patch for Rain Extinguishes Fires. More news on that soon!

    Hey everyone!
    I've uploaded a version of the mod for users of Inferno and FYX CFRTTW. Phew! That's it for patching for a bit :) Enjoy! And thank you to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod!

    I've uploaded an FLM patch (made by maso95) that means the new campfires will be recognised as a heat source for Sunhelm and Warming Hands. Should work with all three main downloads so long as you have Form List Manipulator installed. Big thanks to maso95! Please give them some kudos! 

    A few of you have commented that you use FYX and Inferno and asked which version you should download. Currently, it's the third download on the files page. But...patching has begun on a FYX and Inferno version. Give me a day or so to get it finished up :)

    I've uploaded a version compatible with Inferno - Fire Effects Redux. Again, a HUGE thank you to mindflux as this patch was built up their Embers XD Inferno campfires. I don't use Inferno, so let me know if there are any issues.

    I've uploaded a version of the mod that's compatible with FYX - Campfire Reacts to the Wind - EmbersXD Edition. Please download only one main file. A HUGE thank you to Yuril for allowing me to patch my mod to make it compatible. I LOVE Campfire Reacts to the Wind, so I'm stoked to be able to offer this version. Please give Yuril some kudos!

    Version 1.1. is a small update to the SWAP.ini that removes a few swaps from Whiterun to avoid potential clipping when using area overhauls. Enjoy!

    Hi everyone!

    Have you found a swap that looks out of place? Let me know in the comments. As with Diverse Catches - Base Object Swapper Fish Racks, I can exclude specific locations from swapping.

    COMPATIBILITY.
    The mod is compatible with: Campfire - Complete Camping System (Supports Skyrim VR) and Usable Unlit Campfires - A Campfire Addon as they don't use the campfire01burning.nif for their fires. Compatible with  FYX - Campfire Reacts to the Wind - EmbersXD Edition, and Inferno - Fire Effects Redux.

    It's NOT currently compatible with Embers HD (probably not going to be patched).

    I have an issue , rocks from Campfire show up in the Homes fireplaces !

    I mean its swapping the fireplaces with Campfire with the rocks  inside homes and Inns ...am I doing something wrong or should this load after something ???

      I've not seen this happen, but it's quite easy to exclude a location from swaps. Is it a modded location or vanilla?

      Its vanilla interiors , but modded like riverwood shops etc and homes , but also all fireplaces inside any player home modded or not , and interiors that have fireplaces , so in general it shows up those rocks in any interior fireplace !

      Hi there,

      I've taken a look around some locations (modded and not) and I'm not seeing this issue. These are Riverwood Trader, Belethor's General Goods (JK's) and Carlotta Velentia's house. I think that your issue could be caused by whoever's modding the houses using the wrong fireplace mesh. They shouldn't be using the campfire mesh indoors, but maybe they are. Other than that, I'm not sure. This mod only affects campfire meshes and doesn't touch the fireplace ones.

      In that you might be right but what about vanilla unmodded interiors like Breesehome for example , Dragons reach etc it happens on those as well so I do not have any idea what is causing this !


      PS: Just to tell you that I have found the Mod causing the issue ,

      NATIII ENB

      This mod has the wrong NIF file for fireplace wood fire  and cause I had NAT III loading after Embers XD It was changing this NIF file for interiors with the campfire burning .. So its solved I changed the load order and Embers XD plus your mod is loading after !

      This was eating my brain for days ..LOL

    Would it be possible to make a replacer for vanilla campfire meshes? The vanilla ones have dirt attached, which can lead to some weird clipping issues when textures do not blend correctly. I fixed some seams I had by replacing vanilla campfire models with the ones from this mod via xEdit but it would be cool if it was possible just to replace vanilla models entirely

      Do you mean the fires from the mod Campfire? I believe there's a patch for Embers XD that does that.

      Nope just vanilla ones, this is with Ryns halted stream camp with upscaled vanilla textures, there was some pretty bad clipping because the fire had a dirt mesh attached so I swapped the model in xEdit with one from this mod to fix it . all the vanilla campfires have a ground texture attached, usually it isn't noticeable especially if you use a texture overhaul that blends well

      Okay, now I understand. Can you check and see if that's campfire01landburning.nif as this mod doesn't touch those. Also, can you edit the photos to use spoiler tags? Just add

      sorry let me clarify, theres nothing wrong with your mod, it works great, i just want to know if its possible to replace vanilla models with the ones from your mod.

      Sorry, I misunderstood. Could you take a look at the mesh from your photo using More Informative Console and post an image with its ID showing? I'll be able to tell from those details how to replace the fire (and others).

      for some reason my screenshots wont capture my console but its just the normal campfire01burning and all the variants that have the ground texture attached. the way i fixed it was by changing to CampfireburningMX01 from your mod 


      for some reason all vanilla fires have this ground texture stuck to them :D

      Now I see what's happening. So, in the base game there are two main types of campfire: ones with earth (campfirelandburning, campfirelandoff, etc.) and ones without. The idea of the ones with earth is that the game swaps that texture for whichever landscape it's on e.g. dirt02, pineforest, etc. I've no idea why Bethesda did it that way. It looks to me like your textures aren't blending. Are you using landscape parallax? It could be that the alpha channel in your landscape texture is too bright (something that Atlantean suffers badly from). This can be fixed by editing the landscape texture or swapping to another replacer for that texture. Also, I believe that Mindflux was looking for a way to blend the landscape better for a new update of EmbersXD. It's worth seeing it that solves your problem too. Nothing wrong with the way you're solving this, but there might be an easier long term solution too. Hope all that helps.

      No parallax, its really only a problem when a mod like Ryn's Halted Camp overhaul moves the fire from where its supposed to be, most modern texture overhauls blend the textures better but I like vanilla style so i used upscaled textures but the blending is pretty bad because bethesda sucks. If i come across bad spots i will keep patching it the same way, thanks

      No worries. I can give you the edits to add to a SWAP file that'd fix this without an esp if you'd like.

      For example, if you add:

      [Forms|HaltedStreamCampLocation]
      Campfire01LandBurning|campfire01burningMX01

      It'll swap the campfire with land for one without. You can do that for any location you find so long as you know its location ID.

    Hi! Thanks for this wonderful mod, I use Embers XD, FYX Campfires React To The Wind and FYX Fire Them Sparks, but I also use KD's Realistic Fireplaces (XD version). Just wondering if the KD mod is compatible with this setup? I could remove it if not, but I really like the glowing pulsing logs as it makes it more IMMERSIVE lol. Will a patch be required for KD's to  work with your BOS version? Thank you so much for your hard work.

    Hi there!  I also use the Giant Fires Cast Shadows mod as well as Embers XD and it's patch and noticed that when the swap places a "mini-giant campfire" type woodpile, it casts a flickering/dancing shadow that is strange looking for such a small fire.  How might one go about patching so that this smaller giant campfire is excluded from casting such a shadow and not one like the other variations?  I appreciate your time!

    Sometimes it fails and no campfire appears at all. It fixes itself by reloading the game

      I've not encountered that while I've been testing the mod. Has that happened to you in any specific location, and do you have the latest versions on BOS and EmbersXD?

      Thats an issue with BOS make sure you aren't near any campfires when you add the mod as the model likely won't load first time

      I had this happening with alternate start, camping in the woods choice. I was thinking i installed it wrong, but maybe it's something i can't fix.

      I use the camping in the woods start for Alternate Start and I've not seen this. In fact, that was one of the campsites I used to test and develop the mod.

      same issue with the alternate start campsite on a new game, haven't noticed it happening anywhere else. also not seeing any errors or conflicts in BOS log

      This is very strange. I'll look into it and see if I can replicate the issue. If need be, I can set that campfire to be vanilla so it's not being swapped.

      This happened to me in the bleak falls tower, when using Ryn's mod for the location.

      So, I installed Ryn's Bleakfalls Tower tonight, and have spent a couple of hours loading and reloading the location without being able to replicate this. Each time I reloaded, the campfire was there. The models varied (as they're meant to) but I didn't have any occurrences of missing campfires. I'm happy to help troubleshoot, but am a bit stumped as to which other mod is conflicting to cause this. Is your Base Object Swapper (and it's requirements) up to date?

      Yeah it was up to date, sorry for the late response. Reloading the game seemed to have fixed it. Great mod!

      Yes, sometimes campfire doesn't appear. I see only smoke. The last time it was in the Embershard Mine.

      Hm, this happens to me too. Though the only location I actually noticed is a modded location, where I know should be fire. If I got missing fire somewhere else, no idea as I didn't notice

      But there's a small chance, that during my gameplay once in a while no fire is in place. I actually went to check all of the nifs, if there isn't an empty one, if the empty swap was done on purpose for example. But no, all nifs are fires nifskope. So no idea what is causing it.

    Immersive Interactions has a put out campfires option, it seems it works on some campfires and not on others, also when a campfire can be put out, the smoke remains present. Can this be patched?

      I'll be releasing Rain Extinguishes Diverse Campfires this week, that'll allow the campfires in this mod to be extinguished and re-lit without any smoke remaining.
