This started as a way too advanced project I had many moons ago about recreating Dragon Age companions in Skyrim (at least the ones I haven't seen shared on Nexus). But burnout and real life stuff got in the way, and my interests shift elsewhere, so it's just been sitting in the back burner for awhile. Until now.
I got Alistair and Zevran done. This time it'smy wifeLeliana's turn.
Appearance: Using Charmers of the Reach assets, all textures are standalone and included. Insert rant here about how she doesn't look like her Inquisition self and all (I tried I promise). But she looks good enough for me, and is slightly reminiscent of her appearance in the Sacred Ashes trailer, so. Happy coincidence.
Body meshes are not included--she'll use whatever default you have installed. There's a different version for UNP/Vanilla and for CBBE/3BA (the difference is just the BSA contents, ESPs are identical).
Combat: She uses her own class and combat styles--Leliana is a rogue who prefers ranged weapons, but can dual wield smaller weapons if given the opportunity. In combat, she radiates an aura that gives +50% bonus to stamina and magicka regen to nearby allies (including the player). Basically DA:O's Song of Valor, minus the ear-piercing scream.
Starting location: Solitude's Temple of the Divines with the occasional visit to the inn and the general store. Because she's located in a city worldspace she's not directly compatible with Shattered Skyrim--use something like Where Are You? to teleport her to your location.
Other things: She has Lightfoot, starts out in monk robes + crappy equipment so you can gear her up with whatever equipment you want. Uses FemaleYoungEager voice (Ysolda, Camilla, etc), marriagable. She won't murder a random civilian if you ask her to but property crime is fine. If you want a version with her authentic DA:O voice... read down below.
Technical detail(s): She has her own race, any mod that affects races won't affect her. Her Song of Valor ability is a cloak spell that fires when in combat--unless you have Modern Brawl Bug fix, it's advisable to make her wait somewhere else before initiating that Companions initiation scene with Vilkas.
Questions someone might have in the future:
- Where can I get that Seeker armor in the first screenshot? I got this question a lot. It's by T0XA01 on modgames.net. I ported it to SE here.
- Why can't you make her have a custom voice? I already did, right here, using a custom framework I made here. If you're interested in getting it, I recommend reading the Dreamwidth post in full before reaching out to me for questions/support. (And if you're one of the few people who already had the framework for Alistair or Zevran, I recommend grabbing the new file. There's some bug fixes.)
- But she doesn't look like...? I tried. To be frank, her Inquisition face is just sculpted weirdly, and doesn't translate well to CotR without making her mouth Look Real Weird.
- When I have her as an active follower, Vilkas refuses to spar with me during the Companions initiation quest. Get Modern Brawl Bug fix. Or just dismiss her temporarily.
- Body textures are weird! Pick the version that's compatible with your current body mod. Vanilla users should be fine using UNP.
- Can I submit my own screenshots? Yep.
