This started as a way too advanced project I had many moons ago about recreating Dragon Age companions in Skyrim (at least the ones I haven't seen shared on Nexus). But burnout and real life stuff got in the way, and my interests shift elsewhere, so it's just been sitting in the back burner for awhile. Until now.

I got Alistair done. This time it's Zevran's turn.


Appearance: Using Charmers of the Reach assets, all textures are standalone and included. He doesn't show up in Inquisition, and I refuse to believe he looks like that in DA2 so yeah I'm basically just winging it. I'm aiming for how he might have looked like if I he appeared in Inquisition 10 years later, with a reasonable amount of aging detail, while still keeping him somewhat recognizable to his Origins self. Might not fit your personal headcanons.

Body meshes will use whatever default you have installed.

Combat: He uses his own class and combat styles--Zevran is a rogue who prefers dual wielding but can switch to a bow and arrows when the situation demands it. His attacks ignore 75% of enemy's armor rating.

He also has an invisibility spell that fires when sneaking and (occasionally) entering combat, but Skyrim engine is whack so it doesn't always work. Idk man.

Starting location: Falkreath. He'll just wander around the place. If his sandboxing packages fail for whatever reason, you can find him at Dead Man's Drink (but check outside first).

Other things: He has Lightfoot and starts out in crappy equipment so you can gear him with whatever stuff you want. Uses MaleEvenToned voice (that's Jon Curry, btw. Same voice actor), marriageable. He'll do whatever foul crime you ask him to. If you prefer a version with his authentic DA:O voice... read further below.

Technical details, known issue(s): He has his own standalone race; any mod that affects races won't affect him. There's some clipping with his hair and ears that I'm too lazy tired to fix. The earrings are part of the head mesh (you can't unequip it).





Questions someone might ask in the future:

- MaleEvenToned is nice, but I kinda want to hear his authentic accent, yaknow? I made a version of this mod with his DA:O voice, here, using a custom follower voices framework I made here. Give it a look if it's something you prefer.
(if you're one of the few people who downloaded the framework for Alistair in the past, go take a look again bc there's a new-ish update. No you don't need it for Zevran, it just fixes up some idle lines)

- Shouldn't he have body tattoos? According to his banters with Leliana in DA:O, yeah. I have no idea what kind of tattoos he would have though, or even be brave enough to design one (I'll leave that up to the fan artists out there). Feel free to unpack the BSA and tinker with his textures and stuff. 

- His invisibility is throwing issues. Check any invisibility or spell-related mods you have. There's no fancy-schmancy script attached to his ability, it's just a simple active effect that's conditioned to only fire at certain points. It doesn't always work in my playthrough either. Skyrim, amirite.

- Can I submit my own screenshots? Yep.
