Q?: Where are the staffs located? A: Nowhere, it's a texture change applied to already existing staffs, if you find a staff ingame, it should have a texture from this mod applied to it.
Q?: If it's only a texture change, what is the .esp (plugin) for? A: All Staffs/Staves in Skyrim of each type are linked to a corresponding single mesh template, because I'm applying up to 9 new textures via the mod to a single staff type, I need to make a corresponding mesh template for each texture. This can only be accomplished via the Construction Kit and application via a plugin file (.esp)
"Q?": You spelt "staves" wrong... A: "Staff" Noun (countable and uncountable; plural staffs or staves or staff) A musical staff. 1. (plural staffs or staves) a long, straight stick, especially one used to assist in walking. 2. (music, plural staves) A series of horizontal lines on which musical notes are written. Staff - Wiktionary
both "Staffs" and "Staves" can be used as a plural for "Staff". the only time it matters is in the 2nd definition, I have chosen to use "Staffs".
Hey, first off thanks for the mod, makes staves actually look awesome and magical instead of the dull vanilla textures.
One proposal though: is it possible to create a separate main file that doesn't require any DLCs? I would really like to use this mod with Enderal: Forgotten Stories and don't know if the mod will cause trouble because of the missing Dawnguard and Dragonborn masterfiles.
HI! it seems that the latest change might have rendered the Dual Sheath Redux patch ineffective. I already followed the installation instructions, as well as load order, but there are still no back meshes... same goes for the Elemental Staffs for AmoS. :)
Hi. I've a problem - It seems, that STEP 2.10 core patch is looking for master "Elemental Staves.esp". Which was renamed "Elemental_Staffs.esp".
Could you please upload a STEP-compatible version? The problem was first reported there - https://forum.step-project.com/topic/15069-step2100/ and it doesn't look like STEP team going to fix it anytime soon.
I've not used "Elemental Staves" as a file name since I originally released the mod... Which means any patches and such are based on the file name being the same as the mod name. The only place it's even called that is the very old (but updated to v2.01) steam version so you could use that. for now. but I will not be updating that past v2.01.
It's really up to STEP to fix it... I'll make a request on their forums as I should still be listed as a confirmed author there so I can post in the restricted author area.
This appears to be an Mod Organizer error relating to it being unable to extract archive contents. There is a small discussion about it here happening with Skyrim HD - 2K Textures, but as you're the 1st person to mention it in 500+ downloads, and I can't replicate it on my end, I'm going to have to assume it was a download error from Nexus itself. Have you tried deleting the file then re-downloading it?
Have you tried a manual DL and extraction with something like the latest winRAR? If that still fails I could upload the files as a loose version.
Actually what archive extractor do you have installed? 7zip? Every time this issues comes up in other mods it seems to be related to the archive extraction infrastructure being missing for either winRAR or 7zip, I use winRAR to archive, so if you have only 7zip installed it might be worth trying after winRAR is installed and see what happens.
Okay, I am still of the opinion there is some mismatch in extractors causing this, but I'll put up a zip pack on each page and I guess I'll look further into it before I do future updates. As far as I know you're still the only one having this issue. What OS are you on BTW?

Oldrim STEP is, well, old, since STEP mostly focused on their SE guide. Hope they'll fix it someday anyway.
