Ripped from the original description:
Mor Khazgur is the fourth and final entry in the vanilla stronghold overhauls.
Months ago i was searching for Orc Stronghold overhauls, because like many of you, i've installed every main town overhaul and was dissapointed no one had made stronghold mods, so i set out to learn the CK and make my own versions of the strongholds, and now i've done it, 4 strongholds complete :)
The vanilla Orc Strongholds are quite lackluster and underwhelming, there is not much difference between the Orc Strongholds and the average Bandit camp, like Halted Steam Camp, Robber's Gorge etc. When exploring Skyrim it's difficult to distinguish between Bandit Camps and Orc Strongholds, so hopefully this mod injects more personality into the different locations, and makes it easier to distinguish the two.
Vanilla Mor Khazgur is quite empty and underwhelming, Bethesda must have had time constraints because there is barely anything there, yet it feels like it could have been an interesting fortified village, this mod changes that a little. Mor Khazgur is now much better fortified with taller thicker pallisade walls, some towers and a two gates. Keeping it in line with my other strongholds i've added more huts and some farm animals, Malacath shrine, extra npcs, guards and a mage and a practice area for trainees.
I didn't want to make this a huge fort and instead keep it vanilla friendly, as i like the vanilla plus experience myself.
- Redesigns the wall layout and further fortifies them - Adds a Gatehouse and 2nd gate - Adds Towers - Adds more Huts - Practice area - Malacath Shrine - Miner Hut - Adds Npcs, Guards, Mage, Animals etc - Re Navmeshed
Users of DYNDOLOD will need to re run it otherwise you'll see the stronghold pop in from a distance.
The following are not required for my mod to function, it will function without these, but to add an extra important layer of immersion these mods fit thematically with the end design.
(DO NOTE THAT THERE IS LE VERSION OF A LOT OF THESE IF YOU COPY THE NAME INTO LE NEXUS)
- FYX - 3D Stockades - Walls and Gate - the vanilla pencil crayon stockades look too perfect, these make the stockades look much more rugged, you may see clipping and floating issues if you don't use these, as i built the Stronghold while using these.
- Unreal 4K-8K Mammoth Skeleton ReTexture - this is HIGHLY reccomended, the mammoth skulls i have placed are 1.5x the size, therefore you will notice the ugy textures if you use vanilla, i personally use the 4K Version from this mod, it's incredible.
- 4K Tusks - Same as above, i placed many Mammoth and Horker Tusks, especially for the Throne, the horker tusks are 3x the size as vanilla, so i suggest the 4K version.
- Spice Of Life Orc Strongholds - improves the Orc Buildings texture, place after your main texture overhauls. there is also a patch for Fyx and this mod to work together here Spice of Life - FYX 3D Patches
