Hi! Just in case you missed it: I'm not the creator of this mod, merely the person who ported it. Thanks go to Muffloid for the original mod!

I will not be making any adjustments outside the current scope of the mod (making it modular, for example.) I will port any patches the mod author makes, and/or make small patches, if needed.

If anyone is interested in learning to create your own patches/tweaks, here are a few resources from the original RS Children page:
Create your own faces and patch them
    Changing RS Children's hair
I'll also plug RS Elven and Beast Children here as well, for adding more elven kids as well as some Argonians and Khajiit.

I am no longer providing support for my LE mods, as I'm now focusing on my own mods for SE.

I will not be providing patches for mods that I don't use, as it's boring and I'm only modding for my own entertainment.

Backport tutorial is here. A good tutorial on how to make compatibility patches is here (NSFW site!)

Problems? Bug reports? You need to do these steps first.

    • Test with a minimal load order (ie., this mod and Dime's Quick Start) Almost every single time the 'bug' being reported is actually a mod conflict. If this fixes your problem, add back other mods and rearrange your load order to proceed to test things out. Please don't count on LOOT alone to sort your mods, using xEdit and learning to manually resolve conflicts yourself will save you some heartbreak.
    • Test on a new save
    • Check the other comments and the Bugs tab to see if someone else has had the same issue, and how they fixed it.

If your issue is not fixed after trying the above, feel free to make a post (please mention what you did to try to do to fix it!) That being
said, I tested this mod with an otherwise empty load order and encountered no issues with the vanilla game.

After the Stormclocks attacked Whiterun, I lost Butal. She's the Orc kid from Warmaidens. I saw her standing outside of the shop during the attack. Hopefully she is not erased from the game.

Can you use this and Aymar And Friends at the same time? I'd like to have more altmer children for my Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions

Wow. Your work for the children makeover, including the human races, are the best by far. Hope you could do for Khajiit and Argonian. Thank you.

I'm not really sure what would cause that- going through the comments on the SE version, it seems like you're not alone in having that issue. The mod shouldn't interfere with clothes at all

Hi there! I love this and the other children overhaul, they really look way better than the original RS version. I was wondering, do you've any plans for a backport of that snow elf kids mod made by the same author? It'd be amazing to have it for LE ^-^

I did have plans to port it, but got distracted, lol. I'll plan on it, once I get some free time!
      Edit: finally ported!

Sounds like you'd be much happier making your own mod or learning to replace the faces of NPCs you don't like!

I recommend using RS Elven and Beast Race Children as your starting point (the Bosmer kiddos have a more pointed, elfy look- heck you might prefer the 2 adoptable Bosmer kids included in the mod) and my tutorial of choice to create a custom face is this one.

      Have fun!

I would absolutely LOVE to say thank you for this. I often don't play Nords, imperials, or redguards in my play throughs because I'm just an elven player through and through. I was so excited to see this mod because I was searching high and low for elven children for my characters. I greatly appreciate this and they look FANTASTIC.

Hello! Would you consider making separate downloads for the individual children? I don't want to replace all of the children from the original Aymar mods just one or two and even though this says standalone when I go to install it, it says it will replace the original Aymar files.

    Thank you!

No offense, I don't have the time, energy, or motivation to do that (schoolwork oof), and I'm working on my own mods for fun in my little downtime.
However, if you want to put in some elbow grease, it's not too bad to do yourself! It's handy to learn if you ever want to mash multiple NPC makeover mods together.

First: in game, open the console (tilde (`~) key) and type 'help aymar' (no ' ', substitute whatever kid's name you want to remove). Write down the number that comes up next to their name (aka their Base ID).
Alternatively, if they're in front of you, you can just open the console and click them. Just be sure to write down their Base ID.
Repeat for each kid you want to keep from the original Aymar and Friends mod.
      Exit game.

Second: open the mod you're deleting from in TES5Edit.
Open the 'Non-Player Character (Actor)' tab and find the kids you want removed.
Hit delete, and 'yes' to the popup.
      Rinse and repeat.
      Save and exit.

      Third:
open the mod folder (in MO2, this is accomplished by right-clicking the mod in the left panel and selecting 'Open in Explorer'.)

*sidenote: I'm not familiar with the structures of other mod managers, so unless you want to just work with the files directly (it's a lot, so I won't type it unless you absolutely want it), you might need to look up where your MM of choice stores the files.*

Search for the Base ID of the kid. A  texture (.dds) and mesh (.nif) each should pop up. Delete them both.
      Repeat for each kid.
      Voila! They are gone!

*sidenote 2: so this is probably overkill, but I would personally delete the kids you are keeping from the Realistic Elven Children .esp from the original Aymar .esp (as well as their textures and meshes) following the steps above, to remove all conflicts between the mods and reduce the risk of the dreaded grey face.*

Fourth (optional): I would merge both plugins using your preferred method (I use MergePlugins , the guide on this page is excellent)

Now you should have one mod to rule them all!
