Great mod, thank you for this! Quick question though: I can't seem to get the beard to show up for the Imperial race. During character creation, the beard shows up on all other races, just not for imperials. Not sure if this is an issue with this mod in particular or with OCOv2. Now that I think about it, none of those age-based beards (found in the OCOv2 files) show up for the Imperials during character creation. Do you know how I can fix this issue?
I've got OCOv2, Blockhead, OBSE, and OR installed if that info helps. I'd appreciate any feedback!
I think I figured it out, all the other races texture folders are placed in a subfolder called ‘nuska’ the imperial races is not. I would try dragging the imperial folder into nuska and seeing if that works, I am using version 1.12
nevermind, tried and didn’t work. Try using an older version? This is the only complaint about this problem or something similar so it might just be a version issue
Is a great mod!!! if you beard dissapear afther reload a save, just exit to menu and reload the save again, that always works for me. : )
The only real problem that i have is when i become a vampire... apparently vampire faces don't have the texture to have beards, and when you cure this curse/disease you character will back without a beard...and sometimes with a different eye color... to solve this problems i need to open a console comand afther cure from this curse/disease ("showracemenu") and edit the appearence of my character to put a beard again...and well i need to play as vampire without beard, like i said don't have any texture to beard in vampires.
This looks quite good, however on Redguards, Wood Elves, Orcs, and High Elves, it removes the slight wrinkling and detailing on the face present on the youngest setting, so the transition from the youngest setting to the beard setting actually makes them look younger.
Could someone assist me? for me the beard shows up on a couple npcs and myself like it should, perfectly fine. But then soon, after loading again, my characters beard disappears. I reinstalled the mod, it appeared once again, just to disappear. Hope someone can assist! this is my first time finally getting to play modded oblivion and i got everything down almost perfect besides this. And i reaalllllly love my beard and want it to stay.
Type "player.update3d" in the console without the quotes.
A word of advice, using quicksaves/quickloads or loading saves while you're ingame is dangerous in Oblivion because there's a change that it will break your save completely and also scripts won't properly update or removed if you do so. If you want to load another save, the safest way is to completely exit the game, then open it again, then load the savefile you wish to load. Oblivion Stutter Remover and Oblivion Display Tweaks offer a fast exit so you can exit the game a lot faster.
The face gets reset almost every time a staff, hood, robe, anything gets changed and the beard vanishes. player.update3d does work but it's annoying having to use this command constantly. It's not about loading this happens when changing items.
Hmm, it seems like nobody is willing to help, is good to know I'm not the only one, anyway. Did you find anything? A solution? Did you solve your problem?
I tried using Oblivion Mod Manager to update some of the "Archive Invalidation" Textures, it worked for some of my beards, but still, there are some textures broken. I don't know what's happening, I guess the mod is broken, not my game. lol
I'm trying to reproduce the bug but no luck. My only guess is maybe it's the compression used on the dds files not co-operating with your system for what ever reason.
Try this out & see if it works for you: >>>(Go to your settings in-game > click Video > Change Texture size to "Large")<<<
Sorry, I'm maybe a few days late but I thought this solution might help you. I saw this type of bug before but on a different mod. I forgot the name of the mod but it specifically retextures vanilla armors to a higher resolution/quality. This guy had the same effect on his armors just like your first Imgur picture. Someone recommended that he must change his texture size to large and it fixed the bug for him. This might just do the trick for you as well. Cheers & good luck!
Oh, why didn't I see this sooner. The textures are not saved with Mipmaps. Then you sometimes get rainbow pixels on lower texture settings.
I tried a fix here, let me know if it works. Hope it's ok to post the link here. I can't test it, because for some reason I don't get the same problem with small/medium textures. If it works and if the author wants, he can of course upload the edited files here.
This acts as a simple replacement texture for the OCO v2 age 20 age textures (except for Orcs ... they have age 20 and 30). That means that the age map will only appear on characters (including the player) with age set to somewhere in the 20s. Yes there is only one beard style available. Adjusting the tone slider shouldn't have any effect, just the age slider.
To be honest I've never seen how this particular mod works in the game ... I only use it's textures on a few select NPCs in my game via Blockhead's AgeTextureOverrides (which works a bit differently as you need the exact year of the NPC's age for the override to work).

Seamless - OCOv2
Seamless - Robert Male
With Seamless Equipment series installed, Robert body.
I need to check better but it seems that other races are not affected by similar problems.
The textures are broken, I don't have any other mods, only OCO V2 and this one... would somebody help me figure out what's going on?
