Hello everyone! Strangely enough, I never found any other Shop-Restocking mods for the game TES: Oblivion in the past years, so I decided to make this small and handy mod for you and uploaded it to Nexus! I also included the word "system" to it, to help future players find it easier in the google searches.

"MOD INFO" SECTION

We all know that once you buy an item from a shop (or steal it from the counter), the counter will NEVER get restocked! Never, never, NEVER!!! Even after you finish the game, the shops will still remain empty! Empty forever! No matter how many days or months you wait! Shelves will never get restocked! All the shops, regardless of their type (potions, shields, ingredients, armor, weapons, scrolls, jewels, etc) will stay FOREVER empty! Why? Because, (if you didn't realized it so far), our dear Bethesda forgot to add a Shop-Restocking system to the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion! And the worst? No Official Update Patch or Unofficial Update Patch can address this issue! Thats why I have created this mod. Still unbelievable? Then believe it!

REASONS TO USE THIS MOD

Are you tired of permanently-empty shops in your old game, due to the lack of a Restock System to TES Oblivion's shops? Shelves, counters and Item-display tables, without any items or weapons for display at all, stay empty forever, just because you are a frequent shop customer who once already purchased them all? Or are you a shop robber/thief and there is nothing left for you to steal in the Imperial City's Market shops after your first robbery?

Then this Restock mod is for you: the mod covers the biggest issue of TES:Oblivion shopping ever: the lack of a Shop Restock System. The mod, as soon as you enable it, it restocks all the shops of Market District (I have done Market District only so far), allowing you to see what a level 1 player usually sees in a fresh, brand new game: Shops full of stock and every table/counter to have its weapons, cloth, jewels and items for display and for sale!


Yes, we all know that the TES: Oblivion is a great game. But even the great games have something imperfect. Same for Oblivion! Bethesda, as you see, forgot (or was lazy?) to give the shops a fully-working restocking system. Shops that don't restock their shelves and counters, are not realistic. Are they? Its not as realistic as it could be!

By default, the merchants just restock their inventory only. But, for some reason which we don't know yet, the merchants will NEVER re-stock the shelves as well! Leaving the shelves completely empty of items for the next months to come, is kinda unrealistic!

If they don't restock their shops at all, then, I wonder what is the point of a merchant owning a shop/building when all what he cares for, is only his inventory and pockets?
You see anywhere empty (sold out) counters, shelves, and weapon display tables! So empty shops can damage the game's atmosphere. (If you didn't noticed yet, by default, if you purchase or steal an item from a shop, the merchant will never re-stock it! Due to this, shops, soon or late, will turn into empty shops and will remain empty FOREVER! And the worst of all? None of the Update Patches released for Oblivion (both the Official UP and Unofficial UP ones) are not addressing this issue! Shops remain empty forever, even after the end of the game... For this very reason, many players, including me, are avoiding to purchase items from the shops, just because we love to the shops full of items..

This mod comes to correct all those problems caused by the laziness of Bethesda. With this mod, the merchants will -finally!!!- restock their shop's empty shelves!

From now you can see full-stocked shops, much like as if you are just playing a brand new save game! (Finally, you don't have to play a new game, so to go to a shop and enjoy shelves full of items! This mod does it for you!)


This mod is a temporarily solution to the lack of a full Shop Restocking system in the game, and we are working to make it automatic.

"WHEN TO USE THIS MOD?" SECTION

Use this mod anytime you like to! But I highly recommend to use this mod after a shop has already been emptied by your actions (thefts or purchases). Enable the mod and the counters and tables will be restocked for good! No more empty shelves for your favorite shops! The mod will re-stock the shop with ALL the valuable items, including even the valuable furniture that is not for sale, such as silver goblets and plates, etc. The shop then will remain re-stocked until the time you buy or steal them again!

NOTE: You can re-stock a shop as many times as you desire, by disabling the mod, save the game, re-enable the mod and... profit! The shops can be restocked INFINITE times even for your "hungry" thieves who love re-stocked shops!

To note that the shops get re-stocked always with the SAME items as before! This mod has been tested and it is 100% bug-free. Enjoy. :)

"INSTALLATION / UNINSTALL" SECTION

Just place the .esp file to Oblivion/Data and enable it!

If you want to uninstall it, just delete the .esp file! Simple!

100% COMPATIBLE WITH...
(This mod is really compatible with most of the mods for TES: Oblivion. With clear words, its compatible with the 99,8% of the whole Oblivion community's 5.000 mods, because of its limited -decorative- nature.)
This mod, due to its decorative-only nature, it is fully compatible, even with mods that modify or alter the shops/items in any ways! Enjoy!

Do not worry! Your saves are SAFE!

Your game will not be affected at all!!!

Also you can freely stay in the shop, save, close the game, install the mod, run the game, and find yourself in the updated city without a need to leave/re-enter the shop for the updates to take place!!!
