If you're having trouble figuring out which files you need to download and are confused, be troubled and confused no more!

I have an All In One file for the English translation here (plus a patch for Elsweyr Anequina!):

Valenwood Improved - All In One File - English

I take zero credit for the mod, that's all Eldarie. I just made it simpler to download.

It's the mod, not you. Development was abandoned by the author years ago. It's nowhere near complete.

I don't know if I installed this wrong but... literally every single square inch of the entire territory and screen is covered with trees at all times to where fps is usually around 15 and you can't see anything, including where you're going or what you're fighting.  I think my order's right, no massive land gaps mainly just some floating trees and objects but I kinda question the mental health of people who would work so hard to create a new area to add to the game and then fill it with so many trees upon trees inside of trees floating within trees that it's essentially unplayable, and can only be looked at from a distance.  Sorry if that seems harsh.

I understand your point, but the mod was abandoned in it's beta stages.

Is the german version significantly more complete than the english version?

I got the english version and it feels like a big empty world with nothing to do, like a mod in its alpha stages. It is a cool concept, but without quests, scripting, and dungeons (uncluttered, poor lighting choices, no chests??), its like 2 pounds of potatoes in a 20 pound sack.

No... unfortunately both the German version and the English version are in the same incomplete alpha state.

Think of it as a canvas to polish your modding skills on.

Kidding aside it's a great mod that a lot of work was put into. Adds a large landmass for exploring with cities, towns, caves, scenic vistas where there was previously nothing. Chances are it will never go any further than this given how old Oblivion is now. So break open the CS and finish improving it for yourself.

Thanks for the link Allister, I'll def check that out.

mhaun123: that's a neat idea, but I'm going to stick to working on my own mods. If I ever did make a valenwood mod (extremely unlikely, its more probable that I make a daggerfall mod for skyrim), it would have nothing to do with this file since I would want everything to be completely different

It´s a shame this mod was never trully completed, although I´m glad to see other versions continuing the work.

For anyone reading this looking for adding Valenwood to their game, don´t go with this one. It was abandoned a really long time ago unfinished and plenty of areas are missing meshes and textures. Besides, this version works without TWMP and that´s sadly makes it sound like it would be simpler and not that intrusive but it actually means the map from the mod and the original map will collapse. Also, if you want to keep adding areas eventually you will find yourself in need of TWMP, which can also help you make Oblivion and Morroblivion work together. In other words, as gruesome as it can be, is best to go for all requierements of TWMP first and then worried about adding new lands with the compability patches.

At the time of me writtin this message the best way you can get Valenwood is by following this guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/51880  From here you can get all the information and links to all the things you should read before adding any new territories mods, and the same mod author does have the latest improvements to Valenwood. Hope this helps out.

I installed the mod, i worked well excepted the World Map still blank like vanilla map. I don't know this is normal or i'm having problems. By the way, the mod is greats. *Thumbs up*

This is normal for all new land mods that do not use a new map but the vanilla one. Even if you have mods that alter how the map looks, like say Elven Maps Redux, it will still look like vanilla map on the Valenwood area, but you can still see icons and those icons will be afected by those mods or others.

      There´s also this: https://tesall.ru/files/modi-dlya-oblivion/interfeis/9055-oa_colored-landscape-map-vanilla-edition

But I don´t know russians so personally I ignore it.

Thank you for the reply. Almost half year and now looked back and i feel reget for this mod. World-build, meshes, almost everything is done unless some areas still have mesh/ textures issues and it's canceled project now. I'm looking for mod or many mods that add provinces to Oblivion base game that compatible with each-other and i found that TMWP is very positive as i read many threads on reddit.

Why does every mod HAVE to have the stupid eye candy mod like just let me play oblivion in piece without horny pouring over the gameplay

Yeah, I wish there was a vanilla base with patches for different body types. I never use any of them either just because of compatibility issues.

Hey so I installed this mod, as well as Elsweyr deserts of Anequina, and the entire Valenwood province has a bunch of loading and clipping issues (invisbile walls, no ground, etc.) is their anyway to fix this?

I have the same issue, even with the patch installed and the correct load order. Did you ever manage to find a fix for this?

I'm using Elsweyr Pelletine now, which is incompatible with Valenwood Improved.esp but it could be LOD issues... Try re-running TES4LODGEN and also rebuild Bashed Patch.

is anyone else getting yellow exclamation point errors that are around the area? I don't know what meshes could be missing honestly since this is all just one .esp file.

Um, no, it's got plenty new meshes, textures, trees, and even music. Plus at least one .esp. Make sure you've downloaded everything, not just the patch.
