WHAT The Pip-Boy 2000 mod from DarthFANt0M, now standalone! This patch adds the Pip-Boy 2000 from DarthFANt0M to a container somewhere in the Mojave Wasteland for you to find. Check the spoiler below to see where exactly. Or even better, do not do that! Find it yourself in a playthrough!

REQUIREMENTS
[Hard req] The original mod - obviously! [Hard req*] Pip-Boy Selection Menu - to be able to equip it (select any version including support for Pip-Boy 2000, in the optional files).
INSTALATION
Recommended to install via Mod Manager.
Make sure you have BOTH mod requirements.
Install original mod.
Install this patch. Make sure to let this patch overwrite original mod files (just overrides the replacer scriptrunner).
A blank scriptrunner text file, to override the replacer of the original mod.
An .esp for location and the functionality*.
*This mod doesn't add the actual Pip-Boy item to the container for the player to pick up, as that would need the Pip-Boy itself to be what the engine considers as "playable". Player is able to take "playable" items from containers, but also to equip or unequip them. A playable Pip-Boy would mean the Player could unequip the Pip-Boy from the apparel menu, which renders the player without interface.
Instead of that, this mod adds an impostor item called Pip-Boy 2000, which adds the true Pip-Boy 2000 when added to player inventory, and then dissapears. This way, the Pip-Boy 2000 stays non-playable. It will be in the inventory, but will NOT appear in the menu.
This renders the only way to equip the Pip-Boy through scripting. That's how Mick and Ralphs can switch you between 3000 and 3 Billion Pip-Boys. Pip-Boy Selection Menu, however, uses scripts to let you equip any supported Pip-Boy anytime. Because of this, is a hard requirement.

DISCLAIMER
The requirement of Pip-Boy Selection Menu circumvents the problem of the pip-boy being the apparel equipping main menu. However, if you really need that .esp slot, ask me in comments and I could eventually post a version which doesn't need the Selection Menu mod, but with the unequipping problem. Just lemme know!
