A comprehensive landscape overhaul for the Mojave Wasteland.

The goal of this mod is to make the desert so beautiful and interesting that you won't want to fast travel anymore.

This mod fills Mojave's more barren areas with details and level design I hope breathe life into the uncannily barren gameworld. Many of the edits in this improvement over the former "Enhanced Mojave Landscapes" (now deprecated) have been inspired by the amazing blog https://theluckythirtykate.com, which photographs the real-life equivalent of New Vegas' locations. Similarly, Bird and Hike.com has been a great resource for accurately placing native flora to fitting sections of the map. Many edits made by this mod have the purpose of capturing the aesthetic of the true location.

The spirit of this mod was inspired by my experience with other apocalyptic titles like S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Metro: Exodus and the journeys I had through the Zone in particular. The lack of fast travel forces the player to acquire map familiarity, recognize landmarks, and notice a lot more detail in the game world overall. This lends to a greater "aliveness" of the setting and humbles the player to feel less like protagonist, but just another person in this region. Likewise, urban details in the New Vegas outskirts are heavily influenced by the level design of Cyberpunk 2077, which does a great job making Night City feel filthy and seedy. NV needed some of that energy in its urban areas.

My former mod "Realistically Trashed Water" has been included in the plugin as it meets the intent of this project. The plugin title has been retained as "Enhanced Mojave Landscapes" so those of you with the old version in your load order can overwrite it without your mod manager thinking a mod has been removed by updating to the final version.

Questions and Answers:

Q: Do I need to regenerate LOD?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I need to start a new game?
A: No, the mod is not scripted or navmeshed, making it very lightweight. I would however still recommend a new game in order to appreciate the Mojave anew with all the changes and additions included.

Q: Is this compatible with MoreMojave and World of Pain?
A: I don't know, I use neither and have no intent to. You are free to make a patch.

Q: Do you plan to update this?
A: It's likely once I've had more ideas and more modder's resources have come out, but not for long intervals between updates. The mod is close to what I'd consider a complete and final package as is.

Q: Why close the old Enhanced Mojave Landscapes and release this anew?
A: Not only is this plugin over three times the size of the last version of EML, it includes previous mods of mine in the merge and is extensive enough to be considered a full package and no longer a WIP. This is the rebranded release version.

Q: Will this impact performance?
A: Barely if at all. This mod has been highly optimized and makes use of Static Collections (SCOL) to lower object and poly count.

Q: Aren't you sabotaging yourself by making your modpage a shotgun blast of mental instability?
A: .

This mod was created with compatibility for the following in mind. There should be no issues and if there are they should manifest as minor clipping of static objects.
Wasteland Flora and Terrain Overhaul
New Vegas Landscape Overhaul Remastered
Enhanced Landscapes
Mojave Vagabond
