FNV CLEAN ANIMATIONS | 12.7mm Submachine Gun

FEATURES
  • Complete re-animation for the 12.7mm Submachine Gun and its variants/weapon mods.
  • Gameplay-friendly.
  • Variants in automatic attacks to create a more "wild" look, as seen in recent shooters.
  • For use with any locomotion set available on Nexus.

DESCRIPTION
There's some great animations for this weapon out there, but all of them reinforce the idea that this weapon is more or less a block that shoots. Which, in reality, is fitting: that's exactly what it is.

With my animations here, I wanted to see if I can take a different approach, though: I wanted the gun to look agile and mean, not blocky and clumsy (which, again, it is--I hid it so that you'll never see it, but there's tons of clipping in the idle alone. It's not a good mesh, folks). I think I've more-or-less succeeded in that. The gun is low on your screen, but close to your face, and I made firing animations that kick wildly. With the reload and jam, too, I wanted to reinforce that this is a gun that you're using later in the game: it's both practiced and frenetic. The reload is a decent bit longer than the vanilla reload (double if you empty the clip, oops), but not terribly out of line with the reload times for my other automatics. Plus, visually, it's so active that you'll barely notice unless you're in a pinch.

As always when you're using kNVSE animation sets: take cover.

Otherwise, enjoy.

REQUIREMENTS

IRON SIGHTS ADJUSTMENT
The iron sights may be misaligned. This is very easy to fix.

1. Ensure that you have ISControl Enabler installed.
2. Ensure that all of this mod's requirements (above) are completely up-to-date.
3. Use a baseline iron sights alignment mod, like Vanilla Iron Sights Realligned.

In most cases, nothing more should be required from you other than this. :)

However, it is possible that with some weapons, the sights may still be misaligned after completing the above steps. In this case, you have one more step, which is to simply follow the instructions on ISControl Enabler's mod page for re-aligning sights in-game. It is extremely easy, and only takes a couple of seconds. I have also posted an image here with the most relevant control underlined for your convenience.

When I release my animations in packs ("parts"), I will have them bundled with a custom ISControl.ini to simplify the install and avoid senseless overwriting.

RECOMMENDED MODS

COMPATIBILITY
Spoiler:
Show

  • Out-of-the-box compatibility with any mod that does not specifically use kNVSE to edit the same animations.
  • Does not overwrite vanilla animations, allowing you to safely switch back.
  • No plugin. Safe to install/uninstall mid-game.

SUPPORT
  • If you enjoy this mod in any capacity, please do consider endorsing it.
