    If you liked the mod, do not forget to endorse the mod and thank the Yvileapsis, without yUI and ySI - Sorting Ycons it would have been impossible to do this categories.

    As I posted in the bug list, the Lite version does not allow you to close Pip-boy with the tab key within the Aid and Misc subcategories.
    It's very, very inconvenient and I'd like you to do something about it.

      Yessss I've been scrambling my brain for hours now trying to find a way to rebind the "X" key. Trouble is I'm not even 100% sure I have this mod or a similar one. Pretty sure this is the one that came bundled with another mod on the install so I can't find it anywhere but I remember seeing YSI categories. A way to rebind X to back out of categories or just something to set it to TAB would be so nice! Thank you! Mod is awesome outside of that detail! No more worrying about empty casings while looking through other Misc!

      Like most Fallout issues, the solution lies in lStewie's tweaks, in this case with the setting bTabClosesPipboyFromKeyAndLimbMenus.

      It's annoying but my guess is that to make this mod work, that going into a category in the Pipboy allows only certain keys to work in the menu  (or only certain keys were coded for it). That, or some other coding/scripting mumbo jumbo neither of us understands.

      However, this simply means you need to use the "Back" keys made to work with it to back out of the menu. These are E and X by default.

      X only works with VUI+ and wasd compatible patch from optional files.
      E doesn't work or sometimes kinda work, but if you change the 'Activate' key in New Vegas keybindings then whatever key you set it to will back you out to the previous menu, then Tab works.

      Remember that Bethesda's Gamebryo/Creation Engine games are a kind of buggy, broken, janky mess so you have to work with its quirks or spend a bunch of time modding/fixing stuff to make it work like other AAA games

    Looks like it may not be compatible with  Aid Quick Menu

    The wheel appears while navigating categorized AID items in the Pipboy, but they don't get sent to the wheel

    Bummer

    I've tested all the inventory searching mods I could find easily on the Nexus and unfortunately, none of them are compatible with ySi - Categories in the Pip-Boy inventory

    Obviously, neither of the mods was made to work with the others, but it would be awesome to have both category and search functions in the inventory.

      I also have this issue
      The repair option is only visible at the root category menu. once inside a category the only options are "E) exit" and "X) Mod"

      You need to use the Compatibiliy Tweaks from the File Tab

      However, if you're using Vortex, it won't install the Tweaks properly. You will need to go into the Archive itself, select the Tweak folder that matches your UI/Font settings and make a new folder in your Vortex Mod folders that matches the folder structure of "Menus" from the main folder then enable your "new mod"  in Vortex

      I may post a tutorial in the bug Section. 

      For Vortex users, The mod author COULD make a FOMOD to prompt the user to select which Tweak they need OR separate each tweak to a separate download.

    Small nitpick, but is there anyway to reallign where the cancel prompt goes for exiting a category?
    It bothers me a little when highlighting a weapon and the cancel prompt overlaps with repair/maintain prompt.

      You chose the wrong tweak, they will not overlap when installed correctly.

      I'm not sure what I could've done wrong if it's completely functional.
      I downloaded the category file, extracted the ENGL folder and put in an archive and downloaded that with MO2.
      Did the same thing with the tweak for VUI+ with Classic PipBoy Font.
      Then I downloaded category ESP.

      I'm not sure about MO2, but I had the same problem with Vortex.

      When enabling the Category Tweaks in Vortex, it installs the mod like any other mod and everything looks fine
      However, the mod contains multiple variants of the same file and Vortex doesn't quite recognize that - instead it only recognizes the original "Menu" folder and ignores the others.

      So instead I made a copy of the folder to match the VUI+ font option I chose (Classic Pipboy font), removed every folder besides Classic Pipboy font,  Cut the Menu folder from aformentioned folder, paste it back up in the main copy folder, then delete the now empty Tweak for VUI+ (classic pip-boy font) and now the prompts are properly aligned. 

      Long story short, you need to isolate the tweak for your specific font of VUI+ so it can be installed properly by your mod organizer, or install it manually.

    Sorry in advance for the dumb question but is there a button for returning to the previous menu when going into item categories? For example going into drinks and I want to go to a different aid menu I have to click over to armor then back to aid to get to the root menu.

      The hotkeys are listed in the description tab of this mod:

      "E" - back button, you can change this key in game (settings -> controls -> action mapping -> activate).
      "X" - back button, ONLY If you use VUI+ and wasd compatible patch from optional files.

    Hello. Thanks for the useful mod. The only issue is whenever I use a drink, books, magazines, food and absolutely all the items from the AID tab, it takes me back to the list of categories again. This issue has already been reported here, but only with drinks.

    i have a problem with enter/exit loop on controller with DarnUI  without ySI - Categories.esp
    Does anyone have a solution?

    all this needs is a quest items category and a currency category and it would be PERFECT lol and maybe drugs

    With this mod I can't drop items. I tried the LITE version first, to which it only allowed me to drop armor and weapons but not aid or misc. items.

    I just can't get it why Courier Duster is considered Clothing category when it clearly should be Armor.  Looked in GECK - no particular differences between some heavier armor pieces. Strange..
