Must have mod for me tbh. I love that you can progress the town in a natural way. I did have some issues tying to find out how to get the house, but got there in the end!
I don't know if you take suggestions Sweet but one thing I always wanted to be able to do with Big Town is repair the robots or train the residents of big town in certain things after the quest Big Trouble in Big Town.
See in my playthrough I start with pretty much 1 in each stat and also have the mod that allows you to train skills for a little extra challenge and natural progression, so I never get the chance to make those cool robots come alive and patrol the town. Furthermore, I have a few other mods that spawn creatures in the wastes a bit more frequently, so they still get somewhat attacked by 1 supermutant every so often or by some radiated creature.
So as my character progresses, would be cool to progress the town as well with knowledge my character gains.
Again just a suggestion! Mod works amazing as it is!
As sad as it is, I'd simply rather remove these 5 mods and have functional LOD using NMC's textures. I've done nearly everything I could think of to get these mods working correctly with my own generated NMC LOD file to no avail!
But everything works perfectly fine (e.g. NMC properly applies to all LOD) when I remove these 5 mods, and don't even get me started on the newer overhaul mods that really interest me, such as the Fort Independance Overhaul - TTW plus all the the other overhaul mods coming out seemingly every week! I guess I'm not just not cut out for this 'generating LOD' business unfortunately =/
I've tried almost everything I can think of to get NMC working with these overhauls, from deleting the texture/landscape/lod/ folder in FNV NMC before recompiling in the TTW NMC installer (why doesn't the FO3 NMC pack have a /lod/ folder??? So confusing!) and yet, nothing seems to work no matter what I do. I've seemingly tried every bunch of LOD patches listed on the Viva New Vegas LOD Guide (plus the random suggestions I've found in in various comment sections) to no avail! I've spent over a week trying to get this working rightwith just the NMC texture pack (no Oco/Poco) and I am just about to toss in the towel.
I'm about to go into work now, but when I come back I'll post by modlist/plugin list but I doubt that'll be of much help to anyone... I've only started playing TTW since about 1.5-2 months ago so there shouldn't be anything wrong... it is just so frustrating!
And yes, I've followed The Best of Times/WSG/VNV guides nearly word for word, along Salamand3r's guide.
I'm just at a loss for what to possibly do, aside from uninstalling those mods I mentioned earlier and just using the NMC Pre - Genereated LOD for TTW
So... anyone got any advice? Has anyone had something similar happen to them before?
Fixed it! Either regenerating the LOD did it, or downloading some additional patches that the Wasteland Survival Guide mentions that I previously didn't download. (Or disabling some LOD .esp's that I shouldn't have had enabled in the first place.)
I did found the key behind that boat, just as I've found the other one in bigtown. But I seem to not be able to acces the house, it's boarded up from both side. I checked multiple times to be sure I was trying the good house, and sure enough it's the house with "Think again, Fucker", right? Boarded up, from the exterior of BigTown, and the Interior. Am I missing something?
I seriously love your mod though, even without access to the house; when coupled with the "Bittercup Companion TTW"? mod, I was able to RP way more smoothly when passing through BigTown.
Anyway... its a really great mod, I'd recommend anytime :)
Do you have Rebuild the Capital? I have the same problem and the console shows the boards belonging to that mod and can't be directly enabled/disabled so they must have an enable parent somewhere.
so i had this exact problem because i use claim the mojave and the capital, i just gave priority to BTE and it worked perfectly fine. Idk why but the only thing that still went missing and i fixed on xedit was the underwater safe under the entrance bridge.
I had the same problem, as I too have Claim the Mojave/Rebuild the Capital. A simple solution is to open the console, click the planks, and type either "zap" or "MarkForDelete" though you'll have to restart the game to see results if you use the later.
This looks to conflict with TTW Reputations - does anyone know if it's inconsequential? I think it's a quest script so not sure if it's ok to over-write or which should load first, or if they can't be used together. Apparently also conflicts or has issues with Rebuild the Capital?
Copied from the description: "Fully compatible and integrated with TTW Reputations, plugin requirement free. Most of the new activities grant a lil fame...There is a patch for RTC in it's FOMOD."
Hello Sweet. Just reinstalling TTW at the moment. I have Springvale Garage mod and one of the steps required for that mod is to grab medical stand in Red's Clinic. I noticed your mod overhauls Big Town and Red's Clinic. Basically activating medical stand for Springvale Garage removes the item form clinic. Is that a problem for this mod to work?
