About this mod

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”

Asalam.

Just a quick meshup I did. Something I can imagine a hardboiled Khan vet to wear, or a seasoned tribal wanderer (And now with an update(s), something for Papa and and the real MexiCAN. And any vault chosen one). Close in DT to Ranger armour at same time only 7 in weights. Because spiked knuckles are included as "gloves", it has a "plus 10 to unarmed damage".
Also comes with three helmet variations and Suppository, a unique two-shot double barrel shotgun you might remember from Point Lookout. Restored from cut content bits (I'm sure not for the first or the last time). Included in all form lists, perk lists and grocery lists (As are all weapons you'll find in this mod).

HOW TO GET THE KHAN VET ON YOUR HIP (It's more likely than you think):

Level 13, Survival skill of 60, Ranger combat and patrol armor, Khan soldier armour, a fire gecko hide and three spare parts. Then you'll be able to craft the whole pack called Rare Species at the campfire.

To get two more helmets you'll need to sacrifice the one you already have, called Long Live NCR, and get Chalk's Hairdress from Honest Hearts. Then Horse With No Name recipe becomes available at any campfire, and you can have the Chalk based version that comes with and without them red sunglasses.

Also, Papa Khan is wearing both the Long Live NCR helmet and the armour (In 1.2, he has totally his own thing now), unless some of your mods alter him somehow. Then he might or might not have it, who knows. SHADOW KNOWS. Oh wait, that's a different show. Just put my mod lower in the load order.

BIG UPDATE: Version 1.1 now includes Banditero outfit, couple of hats and thanks to blueboar, lots of different face and eye mask to go with it, for all those casino and caravan robberies. With Wild Wasteland and one of the hats, MexiCAN, you'll be able to craft  special Dia de Muertos kind of a headgear at the campfire. Banditero Outfit itself makes Vipers and Jackals "tolerant" as long as you wear it. Banditos think twice before shooting such a bandito.

All of these new items, with the excepion of Muertos, can be found in the last hidden cache of Randall Clark

Suppository's damage was nerfed but it became a threeshot bastard, acquired custom 2K textures, and a spotter perk. So if you were keeping Boone only because of it, now you can let him go. And it also now an advanced holdout weapon, if you get the joke.

Suppository is no longer craftable but is a private property of Oscar Velasco. He also owns a full set of Khan vet armour. The set can still be crafted since it's not supposed to be totally unique but kind of an attire of the true grit Khans.

Mos of the stuff in general is 2K now, meshes were majorily tweaked and Papa Khan has his own, unique armour, based on the cut content one. The only way to get it is to kill your Papa. If you do it you'll be able to walk amongst Fiends unharmed while wearing it, because even Fiends will ask their lucky 8-ball before going loco with someone who, for whatever reason, wears Papa's own groove.

If Suppository is not enough for you and you want a nice gun to go along with Banditero, I recommend revolver mods by Type2Error. Simply the best.

UPDATE 1.2

So now the set is complete. To Banditero, Khan vet and Papa Khan, I've added a Fallout 2 Chosen One "after credits" sort of armour. It comes with a tribal halberd Roots of Arroyo made out of different poisonous freaks, a cleaver and a golf club and packs the venom of cazadors. And also with a mantis glove that you can wear as a piece of clothes, with any outfit or weapon. You can claim it as your prize from Ranger Stella in the final fight on Legion's arena.

Speaking of that, Everyone has a unique weapon now. Papa Khan has Noble Savage, an automic 10mm pistol modified to shoot 45 auto. If you like Robocop's Auto 9 or Judge Dredd's Lawgiver, you'll love this.  Papa also has his own, seperate helmet now with its own style, called Wrath of Khans.

Banditero has Yellow Bastard, a golden magnum shooting golden bullets that don't take shit from anyone, only silver. It's in the same last survivalist cache of Randall Clark.

UPDATE 1.2.1
Ranger Stella has a holodisk now, a little old fairytale. And Legendary Deathclaw now has a name, Nergal, that philosophically connects it to this tale. Upon its death, collect Nergal's hide. With Survival of 90 and Head Argument, that tribal T-51b helmet you've found on Stella along with the tape, you'll be able to device the Helm of Nergal. Besides looking like a tribal T-51b with a bloody legendary deathclaw head on its muzzle, it will force deathclaws fear you and not attack you, unless provoked.
(If you want to cheat fate and have both this and the original Head Argument you can either A: open my file in FNVedit, check the ID of the Head Argument and player.additem it in your game. Or D, get this. D stands for Diversity.)

The title is a quote by Hunter S. Thompson, but I liked the song linked in a comment

Banditero deserves a theme too

And of course, lets not forget 13th Chosen

Too Weird Too Rare compliments perfectly my other mod, The Spook.

Version 1.1 is no longer just vanilla, so it's time for some Special Thankies:

blueboar for all his stuff in general, but in this case for his eye masks and facewraps in particular.

DcCharge for 2K textures of most of the outfits.

GaigeStorm for custom 2K for Suppository, based on that cut Point Lookout shotgun.

Millenia for alt texture of Noble Savage's base, available in optional downloads.

sansuni for the textures on Papa's pauldrons.

Quetzlsacatanango for some inspiration.

tumbajamba for cyber arm and Jokerine without whom I wouldn't even know it existed.

phoenixhunter1985 for retexture of Elite Riot Gear, parts of which I used for Banditero outfit (Specifically, the coat, the pauldrons and the, umm, the leg pads).

Version 1.2.1 adds a couple more creds:

jetacon72 for the vault suit base of the 13th Chosen outtfit.

Quetzlsacatanango is no longer just inspiration, but also the source of the gecko headshoulder, and deathclaw snout.

Vufur for golden texture on Yellow Bastard, and CyberSpyder for its golden bullets.

SpeedyB, splitSoul and BioClone for everything related to that Tribal T-51b helm's original form.

Last but not least, FiendishGhoul for the textures and part of the mesh I've used to create my variation of Papa's Wrath of Khans headgear. I've found his personal retexture of it in old screenshots and reached out to him, and he was cool enough to dig it out from his file pile and share it with me.

P. S. Not all of the outfits in my mods come with two genders, but all of them come with ability to wear them no matter your gender. As in, if it's a guy outfit, a girl can wear it with a prospect of growing a penis for that moment, and vice versa. This isn't a politichuckle statement, this just works.
