About this mod

A lightweight and vanilla-friendly revisit of Morrowind's Imperial Cult questline, which aims to make it a (slightly) more rewarding and enjoyable experience to play.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
What this mod does:
  • Adds improved rewards to a small selection of Imperial Cult quests.
  • Smaller in scope than other mods in this series, this one aims to address some minor gripes I had with the quest rewards. In particular some very underpowered enchanted items and duplicated rewards for some quests.

New quest rewards can be seen here:
Spoiler:
Show

Gathering Corkbulb Root
Vanilla Reward - Swiftswim spell, restore health potion, and a cure disease potion.
Redux Reward - Swiftswim spell, and 3 restore magicka potions. (player receives health and cure disease potions during the same quest already)

Gathering Ratmeat
Vanilla Reward - 2 skill books and a cure poison potion
Redux Reward - Replaced the cure poison potion with a quality jump potion

Gathering Netch Leather
Vanilla Reward - 5 quality potions and an enchanted belt that restores health
Redux Reward - Enchantment on the belt is very weak, accordingly it's been buffed to the same level as Hearth Heal. Same 5 potions.

Buckmoth Alms
Vanilla Reward - Skill book and a scroll of Gemfeeder and Didala's Knack.
Redux Reward - Skill book, and replaced scrolls with more powerful/unique scroll variants.

Argonian Mission
Vanilla Reward - 2 fortify luck potions or Zenithar's frock.
Redux Reward - Same, but enchantment on the frock has been buffed so that it's actually useful.

Thelsa Dral the Witch
Vanilla Reward - Firestone
Redux Reward - Enchantment on the Firestone has been buffed to make it distinct from generic loot.

Silver Staff of Shaming
Vanilla Reward - Restoration Shirt
Redux Reward - Enchantment on the shirt has been buffed to make it distinct from generic loot.

All quests not mentioned above are completely unchanged

What this mod doesn't do:
  • Add new quests or change existing quest stages, other than the rewards provided.
  • Make any changes to interior or exterior cells.
  • Add a faction stronghold.

Compatibility:
  • Compatible with Religions Elaborated and Imperial Cult Quest Expansion
  • Compatible with any retexture mod, or anything that changes Cult interiors and exteriors.
  • Compatible with pretty much everything else that doesn't change Cult quest endings.
  • Compatible with OpenMW
  • Can be installed mid-playthrough on existing characters, though it's recommended that you haven't joined the faction in question yet.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Redux series:

You can also download all modules together on the Morrowind Redux page.
