Introduction
This is another attempt to remove one of the largest exploit in the game, by preventing the player to be affected by more than one potion/ingredient at a time.
This mod needs the latest version of mwse (2.1), shipped with MGE XE
and is ESP free


What does MAB0's ingestion does?
It prevents the player to be affected by more than one alchemical effect at a time. It works for both potions and ingredients.
As a result, once you eat an ingredient, you cannot eat another one or drink a potion and, once you drink a potion, you cannot drink another one or eat an ingredient while effects associated to your last ingestion have not faded out.
Moreover, it fixes the behavior of the rest/wait by correctly dispelling long duration (more than one hour) alchemical effects.
It handles these use cases :
  • Ingesting potion or ingredient from the inventory menu
  • Ingesting potion or ingredient using quick slots
  • waiting or resting correctly invalidate ingested alchemical stuff and dispel them correctly if they need to be
  • tracks alchemical effects between saves and loads
  • totally compatible with MAB0's exploitable and its realtime magic effect fading system. Thus any potion/ingredient effect that has faded in real time will allow the player to consume another alchemical item at once.

Limitations of MAB0's ingestion
So far, the mod does not propose to change the maximum amount of alchemical effect the player can be affected by. It is intentional as this aspect will be covered in another mod I plan to develop later.

Translation considerations
MAB0's ingestion is shipped with some tools and in particular, locale tools.
Moreover, there is a file containing localized strings for the mod. As
today, only English and French sentences are written so feel free to add
your own language if you'd like to contribute. MAB0's ingestion will
automatically detect your game language.


Modding considerations
As all MAB0's mods, this one uses a common set of tools one can find in the MWSE/lib directory.

MAB0's exploitable, an anti exploit mod allowing time to pass for specified magic effect even in pause mode
MAB0's manipulated, that considers mental manipulation effects as criminal acts toward non combating NPC if witnessed
MAB0's ingestion, an anti-exploit mod preventing the player to be affected by more that one alchemical effect at a time.
MAB0's unstacked, an anti-exploit mod that prevents spell effect to stack under certain circumstances.

Controlled Consumption by NullCascade
An alternative to my mod, more configurable with a fancy HUD effect. I did not thoroughly tested it to extract differences with MAB0's ingestion but the main point is that MAB0's ingestion is fully compatible with MAB0's exploitable.
