This patch primarily does three things:
- Convert Fallout London ammo to Munitions ammo so it can be used in other weapons
- Add Munitions ammo insertion to the leveled lists used in Fallout London
- Add ammo injection for vanilla Fallout 4 ammos which don’t spawn in Fallout London
Why should I use this when patches for Munitions already exist?
Main reason: This mod lets you convert Fallout London ammunition you’ve already collected on an active save.
Secondary reason: This mod injects vanilla ammo the same way it injects Munitions ammo. If the vanilla ammo isn’t already in Fallout London, it shouldn’t appear in your game; but if you do need vanilla ammunitions, you can inject them back.

Since the Fallout London ammunition is converted back to vanilla ammunition it will no longer be usable in Fallout London’s weapons. For this reason I’ve added an option in the vanilla config holotape I made, allowing you to convert vanilla ammos in your inventory to their Munitions counterparts (and vice-versa, for uninstallation).
If there’s any vanilla ammunition in your inventory you don’t want to convert, just drop it, run the holotape, then pick it up again.
(If you’ve already visited a cell before installing the mod, vanilla ammunition may have already spawned there – which I can’t fix. You can run the holotape as many times as you like though, so you can still convert any vanilla ammo you find).

What Munitions modules can I use?
Vanilla/New Vegas ammo modules should work fine. I do not recommend using the reduced ammo module as the method Fallout London uses to reduce ammunition spawning will affect any injected ammo as well, so that module will reduce it even further.
Can I use XYZ weapon and/or patch?
Even though I’ve re-written the munitions scripts, the injection quests are the same. Any weapon mods which are already compatible with munitions should still be compatible. Weapon mods which use vanilla ammunition won’t have the injection quest, so use the holotape to inject it manually.
How do holotape?
Craft it at a chemistry station. There’s the original Munitions one, and a new vanilla one.
Crafting?
Ammunition recipes in Fallout London have been changed to create Munitions ammo instead – however I have not added recipes for other Munitions or vanilla ammo yet. I will probably get round to it soon, or just create a patch for the Munitions crafting mod.
None of the ammo I have is compatible with my weapons now!
Read the section above.
How do I get vanilla weapons?
I’m going to make a mod for that in the coming weeks. Watch this space.
I can’t find my weapon mod in the game!
Vanilla weapon injection (if the mod you’re using even has it) will be tumultuous at best. Your best bet is to spawn it in with the console. I’m working on a collection of weapon patches for Fallout London following the vanilla weapons, but I have no idea what the timescale will be. Watch this space.
Does this mod have ammunition from Munitions - Additional Ammo and Munitions - Advanced Calibers?
Not yet. I’ve already got most of the work done, but I wanted to prioritise the base mod. Watch this space.

*I have done my best to ensure this, please report any appearances of vanilla ammo where it shouldn’t be in the bugs section.
Vanilla ammunition can instead be injected the same way Munitions ammo is. There are injection scripts for every type of vanilla ammo, even ones that already spawn in Fallout London – though of course you don’t have to use them (I started work on this patch before the release of Fallout London, not knowing which vanilla ammo would need injecting, so just made injections for all of them. I figure people might want it injected into more lists so might as well leave them).
For those interested, these are the renamed vanilla ammunitions, which conveniently all had counterparts in the base Munitions mod:

The exception to this was the Missile became a “Shaped Charge”, which I just renamed back to Missile for simplicity’s sake.

Fallout 1.10.163 (you can’t use Fallout London with the “next-gen” patch)
Fallout London 2.31 revision 2 (future updates should be compatible)
Munitions 1.2.3

This mod changes multiple ammunition placement records in Fallout London and also many weapons. If you’re unsure, load any mods after this; as long as they don’t edit Fallout London’s weapons, the worst that will happen is you’ll have vanilla ammo spawning where it shouldn’t.
Ideally I’d make a Robco Patcher version of this, but haven’t had the time to learn how to use it. From what I’ve seen it’s fairly simple, so I might get round to it one day.

Install with your chosen mod manager, or put the contents in your Fallout 4\Data directory.
You can still use mod managers with Fallout London regardless of your install method, as long as you direct your mod manager to use the correct directory.

You cannot remove injected ammunition from leveled lists on an active save, this is a limitation of Fallout 4. Munitions has a method for hiding added ammunition, but that’s all it really does, hide it. The game is still spawning it in (instead of the ammunition you want), it just doesn’t show up. I didn’t want to go through the pain of setting this up when it doesn’t actually fix the problem.
Ammunition you picked up on a Fallout London save before installing this mod will appear as vanilla ammo. Read the section at the top of this page for instructions on how to convert it.
If you’ve already visited a cell on a save before installing the mod, vanilla ammunition may have already spawned there – which I can’t fix. You can run the conversion holotape as many times as you like though, so you can still convert any vanilla ammo you find.
Note for Developers
I also restructured the way Munitions injects ammunition for the ease of adding new leveled lists to inject to. I basically created form lists which act as “categories”, which contain the leveled lists I wanted ammunition of that “category” to inject to. I then modified the injection script to cycle through each of the leveled lists on the selected form list, and for each one inject the ammunition. I feel like there’s potential to improve vanilla Munitions here but I’m not quite sure how it would be implemented in any meaningful way. It might just be a useful resource for large mod projects like FOLON. I will probably tidy it up and create a resource to download for anyone interested in using it.
