All patches will be updated only when necessary and should be considered up to date even if version number is different than main mod.
If you are unsure if your weather or radiation mod needs a patch, load the game and go under a bus stop. If you keep getting rads, it means it probably needs to be patched.
23.06.2024 With this update, all content available in the GOTY version of the game has been roughly checked.
Moving forward, future updates will focus on catching any missed places and fixing bugs if needed. I might do patches for some mods if I feel like it, but right now I'm tapped out of modder energy.
When I first started working on this mod, I did not expect there to be so much to do. Fake interiors are criminally underutilized, with more than 80% of all locations not having them at all, and for no good reason since they don't even affect performance.
Anyways, I would like to give two shout-outs: to level designers of the central Boston for putting LODs and buildings they belong to on the same layer, making it so much more ass to work there, and to level designers of the Far Harbor for barely using layers at all. I hope their paths are laid with unassuming Lego bricks, those lazy bastards.
That's it. Enjoy my mod.
19.06.2024 The base game part of the mod has been completed. I definitely missed a lot of places, mainly in central Boston, but that will be eventually ironed out once I get to play the game. For now, my focus is on DLC content. Hopefully, that won't be as big of a chore as trying to go through the financial district.
You might notice that I added a new fakeInt_Boston file. I... ran out of space in the main plugin, and instead of removing the ESL flag, I decided to add another flagged plugin. If you would rather have only one file, there will be all in one esp available that would combine those two files and dlc once I'm done with the mod.
Also esm flag has been added for better performance. You should put the plugins high up in your load order.
19.05.2024 I added a new compatibility patch for Rebuild Collection. For now, it's WIP. I will be updating it whenever I work on settlements. 09.05.2024 With the addition of the new fake interior type, I will also be trying to cover some open spaces like bus stops, patio roofs, and other places that wouldn't be considered rooms but should still protect you from the rain.
Just a heads up that I have now ported this mod to consoles since you have open permissions. Thank you so much for allowing console users to enjoy your work too! <3
When I enter a fake interior area, the picture gets darker, not comfortable. Is there a way to disable darkening, just leaving the no-rain and alternate sound effects? On further consideration, this may be because of some other mod, right? Can it affect lighting in any way?
That sounds like something to do with your enb, nacx or reshade settings. I don't remember the name of setting but you should be able to disable this effect no problem.
Yup, turns out it was NAC all along. Fake interiors never worked without this mod, so when they appeared, some specific setting in NAC kicked in and made fake interiors darker.
This mod really makes immersive feeling when im indoors. I recently started the game and i remember the moment when Piper was screaming outside diamond city, for Danny to let her in. And when we got inside and we were talking to the Mayor, there was slight echo, as expected in a large building with high sealing.
The patch will only work with Rebuild Collection AIO, but it's not required to use both mods together. The patch makes it so after you fix the building, it will block the rain sound and rads.
How come three other mods are listed as requirements when I click download, even though the description says it only requires the base game and the DLCs for the DLC add-on?
From what I understand, Desperados just changes the entire map into a desert, but all buildings, shipping containers, and bus stops remain where they were in the vanilla Commonwealth. In that case, it should work.
Didn't seem to work in VR for me. I tried various ways, but ultimately still rained inside of the hut by vault 111 or Atom Cats Garage. Maybe neither of those places are covered, though, the picture makes it seem like vault 111 hut is covered. For VR you have to change different things in FO4VREdit to get things to work, so I tried it with just version 1 changed to .95, with the esl flag turned off, and with the esm flag turned off, but each time it didn't work. Not a criticism, this is genuinely just a FYI for you and those using FO4VR; it's not a big deal for me. I actually started off just trying it in a merge because I wasn't expecting it not to work, but didn't work that way either. I have nearly 600 mods (400 or so esp's) enabled so maybe that has something to do with it in the sense of conflicts, but I wouldn't know where the conflict would be for this; just added info. I'm sure this wasn't meant for VR and didn't account for it, or I am just missing something that makes me look stupid for wasting time so I'll just f*#@ right off now, but spent some time on it so thought I'd tell you what I found. Please let me know all the idiotic things I didn't account for or the way this mod is supposed to work; seriously, how else will I learn. Also I'm drunk as name suggests.
You are on your own. I don't know what the differences are between normal and VR fallout; neither do I have the ability to test it since I don't own VR.
I remember that someone reported VR working, but I can't really confirm that.
I would like for it to work, but there isn't anything I can do about it.

So far, polluted climate, vivid weathers and calamity weathers have been checked by me and don't need patches.

Thank you mod authors! Works on NG.
All of this mods are for optional compatibility patches that you download seperately. The main file only requiers dlcs.
It's also written in the description page of the mod when you open requierments tab.

does this mod also include boston library?
