About this mod

Adds new loadouts, ranks, and special units for SS2 Chapter 3.

Mod Currently features 25 total Loadouts, 20 total Ranks, 17 total Special units, 20 Uniforms, and 8 new flags belonging to the Enclave, the United States Army, The People's Liberation Army of the Commonwealth, and the Anarcho Syndicalist Communes of the Commonwealth.

Overview

From 2019 to 2020 I made a few faction packs for Sim Settlements 1 Conqueror and I plan to port all of those faction packs over to SS2 since its version of Conqueror in the form of SS2 Chapter 3 just dropped. But, lets be clear about this right now, my faction packs never included quests or anything special like that, they were simple mods that added new factions and their units for you to play with and that is what I'll be doing here in the form of including new Loadouts, Ranks, and Special units for you to play with.

Currently the Enclave and the US Army and Communist/Anarchist plugins are available so the mod is more or less feature complete.

If you have a suggestion for a new faction or for different weapons and armor for load out please leave a comment, I can't promise that I will be able to implement your suggest, but I will consider it.

  Important Notes


All of the Plugins provided by this mod require a new game, I am sorry, things may change in the future, but there seems to be no way around it right now. If this is too much of an ask then please don't download this mod, I'll understand.

You must download the Faction Pack Injector in addition to whatever faction pack plugin or plugins you wish to download or else things will break because the the Faction Pack Injectors injects Rank, Loadout, Special Unit, and Uniform data into the necessary formlists as opposed to direct edits. It doesn't matter which plugin or plugins you choose to download because the Faction Pack Injector also works as a patch between the faction pack plugins.

All Plugins are now ESP's, do not change them to ESL's or you will break the script injection.

If the flags don't appear in your flag menu then you need to clear the flag cache in the City Manager 2078 Holotape; to do so open the holotape and select tools, then Advanced Tools, then Reset Settlement Flags Cache.

If you plan to take advantage of the Uniforms option understand that if you change the default uniform all of your troops will be wearing that uniform which includes special units. If you only plan to use Default units and want to spice them up then the Uniform system wont mess things up, if you plan to use special units then the uniform system will cause problems, choose carefully.

There is a bug with power armored special units; for some reason soldiers keep leaving their power armor, but there is a fix. If you have a soldier that leaves their power armor simply click on that unit with the R key and then 
click armory options, then change loadout, and reequip them with their current loadout and they should reenter their power armor. This is no guarantee that they will stay in it so you may need to do it again. Also, if you choose to use the power armor left by these soldiers don't be in it when you reequip them with their loadout because they will reenter the original power armor they left and if your in it that may cause problems.


How to Access the New Ranks, New Special Units, New Loadouts, and Uniforms

- To access the new Ranks first build a War Planner's Desk, then click on the Quartermaster's key (the Vaultboy holding a minigun), this will open a menu, click configure ranks, and then  click the change rank option. You will be presented with the exchange menu, move a rank name of your choosing from the left menu to the right menu and confirm. The Rank names displayed in the menu will depend on the Plugin you pick.

-  To recruit Special Units simply go to the War planners Desk and click on the Recruitment Radio, then click change army units, and then underneath one of the new units (this depends on what mod you pick, for example the enclave plugin will give you the Enclave Soldier or Enclave Power Armor Elite) click the Adopt Unit Type button and that unit's status will change from unused to Special Unit, click return, then click Recruit Soldiers, then select one of the special units and then hit Queue Unit.

The units you have adopted are important for another reason which is changing loadouts, you can only use loadouts of units you have adopted from the recruitment radio so even if you never plan to recruit a unit it may behoove you to adopt a unit anyways.

So long as you have the resources necessary to recruit the Special Unit, this info can be obtained in the same menu's you use to recruit these special units, your new units will arrive the next day so simply sleep for 24 hours and they should appear.

To speed up the recruitment process build a new martial plot and choose to build a recruitment center.

- To change the loadouts of soldiers that have already been recruited and are in your settlement first have an armory built, then you need to walk up to the unit whose loadout you want to change and click R, then click armory options, then change loadout and, so long as you have adopted the units whose loadout you want to use from the recruitment radio, you can select one of the new Loadouts. The loadout you can pick are determined by the plugin you pick.

- To change Uniforms, which are used by all of your troops including special units, click the quartermasters keys and then select the set military uniform button and then you can select the uniform you want from the exchange menu that will popup. If you want to revert the uniforms worn by troops to their default go back into the uniform exchange menu and select the "Clear Uniform" option to reset everything.


The Enclave Faction Plugin

  • Seven Loadouts which correspond with the ranks and also appear by default in the quartermasters key's menu found at the War Planner's Desk.
  • Six new special units; The Enclave Soldier, the Enclave Power Armor Elite, the Enclave Delta Force, the Enclave Tesla Delta Force, the Enclave Secret Service, and the Enclave Heavy Secret Service. All six can be unlocked immediately at the recruitment menu found at the War Planner's Desk.
  • Two new Uniforms: Enclave Under Armor and Enclave Fatigues; in the menu the Enclave Under Armor is labeled as "Urban," the label is wrong though as the under armor comes in a variety of camos at random in addition to Urban Camo.
  • Two New Flags. One Black Flag with the Enclave E and Stars, one USA Flag with the Enclave E and Stars in the Canton.

The Five Ranks are as follows

  • Enclave Private
  • Enclave Private First Class
  • Enclave Corporal
  • Enclave Sergeant
  • Enclave Staff Sergeant

The Seven Loadouts are as follows

  • Enclave Private Loadout - They will have an Camo underarmor (Camo Varies), a combat armor chest piece, a beret, and will carry either an automatic Laser or Plasma Weapon. Costs 5 Standard Armor, 5 Standard Weapon Parts, 50 Energy Ammo.
  • Enclave Private First Class Loadout - They will have an Camo underarmor (Camo Varies), a combat armor chest piece, a combat armor helmet, and will carry either an automatic Laser or Plasma Weapon. Requires Soldier to be Rank 2, Costs 10 Standard Armor, 10 Standard Weapon Parts, 100 Energy Ammo.
  • Enclave Corporal Loadout - They will have an Camo underarmor (Camo Varies), a combat armor chest piece, a combat armor gasmask helmet, left and right arm combat armor, and will carry either an automatic Laser or Plasma Weapon. Requires Soldier to be Rank 3, Costs 15 Heavy Armor, 15 Heavy Weapon Parts, 100 Energy Ammo.
  • Enclave Sergeant Loadout - They will have an Camo underarmor (Camo Varies), a combat armor chest piece, a combat armor gasmask helmet, left and right arm combat armor, left and right leg combat armor, and will carry either an automatic Laser or Plasma Weapon. Requires Soldier to be Rank 4, Costs 20 Heavy Armor, 20 Heavy Weapon Parts, 100 Energy Ammo. 
  • Enclave Staff Sergeant Loadout - They will have an Covert Suit (classic enclave uniform with combat armor pieces), a combat armor gasmask helmet, and will carry either an automatic Laser or Plasma Weapon. Requires Soldier to be Rank 5, Costs 25 Heavy Armor, 25 Heavy Weapon Parts, 100 Energy Ammo.
  • Enclave power Armor Elite - You can either spawn the power armor elite as a special unit or convert a different unit to the power armor elite for the price of 6 power armor.
  • Enclave Heavy Secret Service - You can either spawn the heavy secret service as a special unit or convert a different unit to the heavy secret service for the price of 6 power armor.

All Loadouts grant the Commando perk, which increases with rank, to the soldiers who use the loadout and also adds a special combat buff as well, the Enclave adjustment, which fortifies Intelligence and Endurance of the soldiers who use the loadout at the cost of Agility.

The six Special Units of this Plugin are the Enclave Soldier, the Enclave power Armor Elite, the Enclave Delta Force, the Enclave Tesla Delta Force, the Enclave Secret Service, and the Enclave Heavy Secret Service. 

Enclave Soldiers use the same ranks and loadouts as seen above and their weapons are also the same.

The Enclave Soldier costs 750 Caps

Enclave Power Armor Elite carry Miniguns and Gatling Lasers and use X-01 Power Armor.

Enclave Power Armor Elite costs 2000 Caps plus 6 Power Armor supplies.

Enclave Secret Service use the same weapons as Enclave Soldiers, but wear Secret Service Armor and also wear Jetpacks.

Enclave Secret Service costs 1000 caps plus 25 heavy armor supplies.

Enclave Heavy Secret Service carry Miniguns and Gatling laser and use T-65 Power Armor.

Enclave Heavy Secret Service costs 2500 caps plus 9 Power Armor Supplies.

Enclave Delta and Tesla Delta Force Units use the same weapons as the enclave soldiers, but wear the enclave armor from the enclave remnants armor mod which provides the protection of power armor, but with the agility of regulars armor.

Enclave Delta Force costs 1250 caps and 30 Heavy Armor Supplies and Enclave Delta Force costs 1500 caps and 40 Heavy Armor Supplies.

Enclave Delta and Tesla Delta Force units have all five perk ranks of the Commando perk while the Enclave Power Armor Elite has all five perk ranks of Heavy Gunner.

The United States Army Faction Plugin

  • Four new Uniforms: US Army GI Fatigues, US Army GI Fatigues with Belt & Rigging, US Army Special Forces Fatigues, and US Army Special Forces Fatigues with Belt & Rigging.
  • One new flag. A green flag with a US Army White Star in the middle.

The Five Ranks are as follows

  • US Army Private
  • US Army Private First Class
  • US Army Corporal
  • US Army Sergeant
  • US Army Staff Sergeant

The Six Loadouts are as follows

  • US Army Private Loadout - They will have an Basic GI Fatigues and a GI Cap and will carry either an automatic Combat Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Assault Rifle. Costs 5 Standard Armor, 5 Standard Weapon Parts, 50 Ballistic Ammo.
  • US Army Private First Class Loadout - They will have an Basic GI Fatigues, Combat Chest Armor, and a GI Cap and will carry either an automatic Combat Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Assault Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 2, Costs 10 Standard Armor, 10 Standard Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo.

  • US Army Staff Sergeant Loadout - They will have an Sergeant Incursion GI Fatigues, Combat Chest Armor, Combat Arm Armor, Combat Leg Armor, and a GI Cap and will carry either an automatic Combat Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Assault Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 5, Costs 25 Heavy Armor, 25 Standard Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo.
  • US Army Mechanized Infantry - You can either spawn the mechanized infantry as a special unit or convert a different unit to the mechanized infantry for the price of 6 power armor.

All Loadouts grant the Commando perk, which increases with rank, to the soldiers who use the loadout and also adds a special combat buff as well, the US Army adjustment, which fortifies Strength and Endurance of the soldiers who use the loadout at the cost of Intelligence.

The US Army Basic GI Fatigues, the Sergeant GI Fatigues, and the Sergeant Incursion GI Fatigues include an object effect that adds both 1 Strength and 1 Endurance.

The GI Cap includes an object effect that adds both 1 Perception and Charisma

The Special Units of this Plugin are the US Army Soldier, The US Assault Marine, and the US Army Mechanized Infantry.

US Army Soldiers use the same ranks and loadouts as seen above their weapons are also the same.

The US Army Soldier costs 350 Caps.

US Army Mechanized Infantry carry Miniguns and use T-51b Power Armor.

US Army Mechanized Infantry costs 1000 Caps plus 6 Power Armor supplies.
 

US Assault Marines use the same weapons as US Army Soldiers, but wear US Assault Marine Armor.

US Assault Marines cost 750 caps and 35 heavy armor supplies.

US Army Soldiers and US Assault Marines use vanilla level lists so any mod that modify the Combat Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Assault Rifle Level Lists may change what weapons the US Army Soldiers are using. Also if you have any mod that replaces the Combat Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Assault Rifle expect US Army Soldiers to be using those replacement instead of vanilla weapons.

US Army Soldiers, US Assault Marines, US Army Mechanized Infantry can be a mix of Ghouls and Humans, the US Army is not completely Ghoulish, but its Ghoulish Enough. 

The Communist and Anarchist Faction Plugin

The People's Liberation Army of the Commonwealth & The Anarcho Syndicalist Commune's of the Commonwealth.

Requires the Following Mods

Features the Following

  • Ten Ranks which appear by default in the Quartermaster's key menu found at the War Planner's Desk.
  • Twelve Loadouts which correspond with the ranks and also appear by default in the quartermasters key's menu found at the War Planner's Desk.
  • Eight new special units; the People's Liberationary Cadres, People's Liberationary Snipers, People's Liberationary Militia, Peoples Liberationary Bastion, Syndicalist Novitiates, Syndicalist Sharpshooters, Syndicalist Proletariat, and the Syndicalist Bulwark. All eight can be unlocked immediately at the recruitment menu found at the War Planner's Desk.
  • Fourteen new Uniforms; one for each of the twelve camo varieties and one for each of the two militia uniform varities.
  • Five new flags. One flag for the PLAC; a red flag with a gold star in the middle with a gold hammer and sickle inside of the star. 4 Flags for the ASCC; 1. Half Black and Half red bisected diagonally, 2. Half Black and Half red bisected diagonally with the letters ASCC in which written across on the flag, 3. Half Black and Half red bisected diagonally with the letters ASCC written on it with an Black Cat in the lower right corner, 4. Half Black and Half red bisected diagonally with a Black Cat in the Center.

  • People's Liberationary Bastion - You can either spawn the bastion as a special unit or convert a different unit to the bastion for the price of 6 power armor.


The Six Anarchist Loadouts are as follows

  • Syndicalist Novitiate Loadout - They will have one of 6 Basic Camo Fatigues, have light leather armor, either a leather chest piece or a chest rig, and either a Field Cap or a Pilotka and will carry an automatic Handmade Rifle. Costs 5 Makeshift Armor, 5 Standard Weapon Parts, 50 Ballistic Ammo.
  • Syndicalist Apprentice Loadout - They will have one of 6 Basic Camo Fatigues, have light leather armor, either a leather chest piece or a chest rig, and either a Field Cap or a Pilotka and will carry an automatic Handmade Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 2, Costs 10 Makeshift Armor, 10 Standard Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo.
  • Syndicalist Journeyman Loadout - They will have one of 6 Basic Camo Fatigues, have light leather armor, either a leather chest piece or a chest rig, and either a Field Cap or a Pilotka and will carry an automatic Handmade Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 3, Costs 15 Makeshift Armor, 15 Heavy Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo.
  • Syndicalist Master Loadout - They will have one of 6 Basic Camo Fatigues, have light leather armor, either a leather chest piece or a chest rig, and either a Field Cap or a Pilotka and will carry an automatic Handmade Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 4, Costs 20 Makeshift Armor, 20 Heavy Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo. 
  • Syndicalist Syndikos Loadout - They will have one of 6 Basic Camo Fatigues, have light leather armor, either a leather chest piece or a chest rig, and either a Field Cap or a Pilotka and will carry an automatic Handmade Rifle. Requires Soldier to be Rank 5, Costs 25 Makeshift Armor, 25 Standard Weapon Parts, 100 Ballistic Ammo.
  • Syndicalist Bulwark - You can either spawn the bulwark as a special unit or convert a different unit to the bulwark for the price of 6 power armor.


All Loadouts grant the Commando perk, which increases with rank, to the soldiers who use the loadout and also adds a special combat buff as well, the Radical adjustment, which fortifies 10 extra heath and Action Points at the cost of Strength.

The Camo Fatigues fortify Agility, Militia Outfits fortify Charisma, Sniper Outfits fortify Agility and Perception, Chest Rigs fortify Carry Weight, the Field Cap and Pilotka's fortify Endurance, the Beret fortifies Perception, and the Ushanka fortifies Intelligence.

The Special Units of this Plugin the People's Liberationary Cadres, People's Liberationary Snipers, People's Liberationary Militia, Syndicalist Novitiates, Syndicalist Sharpshooters, Syndicalist Proletariat.

People's Liberationary Cadres and Syndicalist Novitiates use the same ranks and loadouts as seen above and their weapons are also the same.

The People's Liberationary Cadres and Syndicalist Novitiates costs 350 Caps to recruit.

People's Liberationary Snipers and Syndicalist Sharpshooters use either Sniper variants of the handmade rifle or sniper variants of the Hunting rifle and they also wear special sniper armor.

People's Liberationary Snipers and Syndicalist Sharpshooters both have all five ranks of the Rifleman Perk and all three ranks of the Sniper Perk.

People's Liberationary Snipers and Syndicalist Sharpshooters costs 500 caps and 15 Standard Armor supplies.

People's Liberationary Militia and Syndicalist Proletariat use the random pipe guns and also wear special militia armor.

People's Liberationary Militia and Syndicalist Proletariat costs 50 caps, they are to be spammed seeing as they are so weak.

Peoples Liberationary Bastion and Syndicalist Bulwark use Miniguns and wear Power Armor, Bastion Power armor with T-34 paint for the Communists and Red Shift Power Armor with special forces paint for the Anarchists.

Peoples Liberationary Bastion and Syndicalist Bulwark cost 1000 caps plus 6 power armor supplies.

Special Units use vanilla level lists so any mod that modify the Handmade Rifle, Hunting rifle, or Pipe Gun Level Lists may change what weapons the the Special Units are using.
